When it's in the clicking/ticking mode, it does it constantly regardless of conditions. Shaun

Very odd but there's an intermittent clicking coming from the rear offside wheel. I'm pretty sure all the wheel nuts are tight, the brake pads have been done a short while back & I've also checked the hand brake assembly. Sometimes there's no noise whatsoever yet other times it does it continuously! Is there anyone else that's had this annoying problem who could shed some light on this? Cheers, Shaun

Jees, so you keep the engine in the powerband all the time & effectively use the clutch as a torque converter? bloody hell, these carbon-carbon clutches are great, possibly the best mod you could buy for your zed then if you want ultimate acceleration from rest. I guess you could slip the clutch from 1st to 2nd, 2nd to 3rd if you wanted too, so long as you don't wheel spin of course.

Just goes to show, you think you know something & then you find out you're wrong lol. After looking at the manual I think I now know how it works :rolleyes: PS. SMW1, we're talking Positive Crankcase Ventilation Valves :)

Like I said, if the valves were knackered then air could pass both ways. Whilst under boost, positive pressure from the inlet manifold would pass to the cam/crank case Or am I missing something, do the valves normally get stuck shut?

But when you boot it, if the valves are fooked then surely you'd end up with 9-15 psi pressure in the crank + cam cases which would then be released when you took your foot off the gas :confused:

Howdo m8y, I think the solution is to replace the PCV's I'm guessing that when you boot it, the crankcase + rocker covers are getting pressurised due to the valves not doing their job. Then when you take your foot off the gas, there's a sudden rush of air + a little oil from the rocker covers, through those pipes & into the inlet manifold ready for combustion! Times have definately changed, I remember when I was a lad (cue hovis music, lol), I was out on my bike, riding for miles nearly every day. My brother & I used to make gokarts with/without steering & ride them down long hills leading onto the main road, lol. occasionally we'd end up in the road :eek: We had a dingie that we'd take on the canal which got upturned once over. My mum just used to let us get on with it. Parents are very protective these days, but saying that, that's the way the world has gone. You've only got to look at all the health & safety rules & regulations in work etc to see that (No offence Jock, not having a dig at you mate:)). I've heard people going on about how easy it is to tune a Skyline GTR but do you rekon it'd be much cheaper to get one to that kind of power? You'd save on one turbo I guess Lol.

*****x, I ran a fox over last night too :( Didn't see the thing cos it ran out & in the same direction as the car, plus it was almost the same colour as the road FFS. I didn't stop to look at the damage until I was forced to by an awful scraping noise from the wheel arch. I half expected to see bones etc in there but thankfully not! The plastic inner wheel arch was totally fooked. I couldn't believe the number of cats, foxes & other animals on the road in the early hours, you can't drive fast cos you're guaranteed to hit something!

I think a lot of people would disagree with you on that one. In 1990 the car was most certainly known as a supercar, just look at reviews of the zed. It wiped the floor with most of the competition! I could be wrong here but for some reason I used to think that a supercar was a car that could do 150mph+ :confused: perhaps the criteria has changed.

My mate is half english but wanted France to win cos he doesn't like Beckham FFS :rolleyes: :slap: I don't watch premiership but love euro & world cup :dance: Only thing is, get very excited & feel like putting my fist through the TV if the other side fluke a win, e.g. the last match :mac1: :)
