  1. My father died from cancer of the throat when he was only 32. I was only 7 years old and my brother 5! Keep up the good work & kick the habbit for your kids sakes. :)
  2. IMO everyone should stick to the 30mph limit or perhaps lower in towns/villages where you've got parked cars etc. Indeed most of us probably do, it's these young tossers who don't give a sh!t about anyone or anything who don't & so the rest of us have to suffer the necessary deterrent!
  3. Cheers for that mate, didn't want to change the alternator only to find out it was something else!
  4. Looks like I've got a similar problem with my car  Drove home last night & noticed that the Hicas light came on followed a few minutes later by the ABS light. I didn't read too much into it until later I also noticed that the stereo kept turning itself off as well!. Also, come to think of it, the steering seemed to get quite heavy. A while after this, the engine wouldn't rev over 2500 rpm, it started misfiring like hell. Luckily I managed to find a parking space & park it up successfully. Lucky really cos otherwise I would have been stuck with a 1.5ton piece of metal blocking the whole street off at 00:30am! Doubt I could have shifted it on my own. I turned the engine off & tried to start it again but it didn't want to know! I was convinced that the alternator had gone but after reading your post I'm not so sure now. :(
  5. Just got my work mates with it, brilliant stuff
  6. Lol, that got me good & proper! Just going to change my pants!
  7. IF that is genuine then the guy must have be off his head on drugs or something. All it would take is for some elderly person to pull out & it'd be game over for both parties + whoever else happens to be behind!
  8. I'd phone the Police & tell them that there's someone causing an obstruction on the road with a van. My brother did exactly that, knowing full well that it was a Police van that was causing the obstruction & they were forced to move it + they never parked there again ;)
  9. Cheers m8, if you could PM me their number that would be great! Shaun
  10. Does anyone know of anywhere that does refurbs on alloy wheels? Preferably somewhere in the North West or Wales. My 18" wheels have got some kerb damage + the paint is coming off the centre caps. Cheers, Shaun
  11. I think some of the 30/40 speed limits are inappropriately placed. i.e. some of them are almost half a mile out of villages where there is nobody and nothing, just fields. To add insult to injury, I've noticed that these arrive alive vans DO NOT the majority of the time park in or near accident black spots. They park on the outside of villages where they can nick someone as they leave a 30mph zone in an area where there is no danger whatsoever. That IMO is taking the p!ss.
  12. I can't imagine the girlies being too impressed by that  :xxx: It just goes to show that young lads really are dumb asses, lol & I speak from experience of being one
  13. Someone I know bought a GTO Twin Tub, soon after he said that I had the better car! I know one thing, the interior in the Zed looks way better than any of the other competitors interiors.
  14. Darn it, wish I'd asked for one now cos my rear wing is knackered and marczx lives in North Wales :( How much are you after Syko? have you got any pics? My car is Silver.
  15. I went to the North West meet but you'd already left by the time I got there. Would have been nice to see your car. Feel for ya m8, hope you get something just as fast to replace it
  16. Have you heard of the latest SE fast road rebuild? It has the addition of a drinks dispenser Check it out
  17. Took me about 40 mins to work that out  got there in the end though! probably would have taken me 25 but I thought I'd fooked it up but in actual fact I hadn't, so I started again lol.
  18. Dont' be a pr!ck all your life, I might have seen the funny side if it hadn't fooked up my jacket! If someone bloke came up to you with a bucket of dirty water & threw it over you whilst in your best jacket, how many of you would see the funny side? You wouldn't, you'd tw@t him one :mac1: The guy who did this wouldn't have had the b@lls to come up & throw a bucket of water over me, instead he had to use a car because he's a whimp! Anyway, winge over with. ;) :D
  19. The latter sounds bloody good to me! My £200 leather jacket is probably screwed.
  20. Was walking on the pavement at the side of the road, about 3 metres in front there was a woman walking also. Some pr!ck in a Saxo decided to drive into the slush/snow at the side (deliberately I might add!) & soaks me and the woman from head to toe . I felt more for the woman than myself although my leather jacket is probably fooked! One good thing though is that I know the car, it belongs to a student in the department in which I work, so I rekon he's gonna have a flat tyre or two pretty soon! either that or a :mac1:
  21. At least mine's brand new na na na na na! and it comes with a manual that's written in Japanese  Got the english version off the net, lol. Cheers Andy, I'll do what you suggested, probably have the T junctions in the middle of the car between the headlamps. :)
  22. Was that brand new? If so then that is very cheap, they cost around £450 normally speaking.
  23. Cheers Macca, that's brilliant!
  24. Only cost me £330 delivered ;) Just need the time to fit it now! :hyper: Has anyone got any advice for fitting one of these? i.e where's the best place to stick the solenoid box? From looking at the SBC & 300Z manuals I need to connect the input of the solenoids to the small outlets from the hard pipes (from turbo), the output goes to the turbo actuators & the pipes that go to the stock solenoids should be blocked off. Am I about right with this? Cheers, Shaun
