  1. That's rich coming from the dirtiest slapper of them all
  2. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/3705666.stm What a bunch of w@nkers! :mac1:
  3. The silver is a base colour apparently & very easy to find. You could get it from Halfords like I did.
  4. I've already tried that & to start with it seemed like she was going to be reasonable but after speaking to her solicitor, decided that she would only pay for parts, i.e. 1 head gasket which is £25 FFS! She wouldn't even pay out for a head set at £43 (which you need)! Anyway, it's the labour that costs all the money. As it turns out, Davemac & myself will probably do the repairs but I'm just so p!ssed off that someone (especially a woman!) could do that! She seemed genuine too which probably made me do less checks on the car than I would do normally:( It kind of destroys your faith in mankind
  5. Surely the fact that the seller (private, or so they say but I'm now not sure!) advertised the car as being a 'Good runner' is misrepresentation though because it clearly wasn't & therefore grounds for legal action?
  6. What's the score with legal fees, would I end up paying hers if it went in her favour?
  7. Can anyone help me out here, someone sold me a car yesterday which was described as a good runner in the advertisement. I drove it home which was about 12 miles followed by a further 2 miles to work this morning only to find that it had dumped almost all it's water. Not only that, I later went to the car when it was cold, opened the radiator cap, released any pressure. I then put the cap back, ran the car for a minute & released the cap & the thing exploded there was so much pressure in the cooling system. It's pretty obvious that the head gasket has gone. I must confess, I started to get a little worried when (after handing my money over I might add & signing the log book) the owners father said that he'd better put some water in it & it took loads to fill it up. Also I heard a pop like there was air compressed in there when he removed the cap which I thought was a bit odd considering the car had been stood over night & was stone cold. What's the score here legally, do I have a chance of getting my money back?:( Any help would be gratefully received as I'm really p!ssed off not only because of the money but also the principle of it! B@stards
  8. I'm now thinking that it could be the MAF again!!!
  9. Cleaned & checked the valves & still it doesn't run right :(
  10. I've cleaned the throttle bodies but not the idle valve. I'll give that a go. Come to mention it, on occasion the idle speed has been going up & down between 800 & 1200 rpm almost at a constant frequency. Would this be a symptom of a blocked idle valve? Thanks guys:)
  11. It's been doing it for a while but it's really p!ssing me off now:( It's murder driving it through traffic because it keeps jumping like a kangaroo! I've done the following: Changed the temp sensors, checked the connectors leading to said items. Replaced plugs although I know it isn't that as when I put my foot down it's fine. Done an ECU test which doesn't display any faults. Checked the TPS with a voltmeter & it seems to be fine. Recenty replaced fuel filter. I'm pretty sure the fault is a fueling one as the problem seems to go when I put my foot down although sometimes there is a little hesitancy. Once or twice the engine has cut out temporarily when cold if I've booted it to pull out of a junction. I don't understand why it only does it when it's cold to be honest, it's as if there's not enough fuel getting through or something. Has anyone had similar problems? Shaun
  12. Jap imports are not only in better nick for the year but they generally have low mileage. I've had mine for 4 years, it's now 14 years old yet still pretty reliable.
  13. Lol :slap: Talking of embarrasing moments, I remember driving my car + boat into a cul-de-sac at knot end cos I got lost. I had to unhook the boat, turn it around & re-manouver the car. Of course all the neighbours came to their windows to see what was happened & a big fookin seagull shat all over me! :o
  14. Report him to the Authorities, you only need 3 official complaints from what I've heard. Any other course of action (apart from Timmy's sound advice of course:)) could result in reprisals.
  15. Wedding? The next thing you know there'll be a bun in the oven, then it's bye bye baby zed
  16. The LED one's look really good, how much do they cost?
  17. I take it the filming was for top gear then. If so, when is it going to be broadcast?
  18. That's a real b!tch, the exact thing happened to my brother's zed, same side too & he had whiplash. If you need any advice regarding insurance etc then get in touch with DaveMac on this forum. Shaun
  19. I'll forgive people so long as there's some kind of acceptance that they were in the wrong, otherwise it takes me a good while longer to forget about it.
  20. Any one seen that program 'Nighty night'? The bit when the bloke with the nervous squint leaves a monster (can't remember what he calls it) in the bog & Julie Davies goes to break it's back?
  21. I've seen that one in the middle on Magic roundabout
  22. How did you know? , just don't let the missus know, lol, or she'll sit on me
  23. No putting up pics of wives OK  I'll start with this one!
  24. You might laugh but there's an electronic engineering company called Wayne Kerr down in Bognor Regis  http://www.waynekerrtest.com/

 Had to laugh at that one, it reminds me of my mate who's always trying to cheat at golf with the scores etc. Last week he miss hit the ball & it rolled about 6 inch off the tee & he tried to put it back again before me & my other mate noticed Lol. He then hit it again & did the same :smw:
