Gio Posted August 31, 2004 Posted August 31, 2004 What fun that was. Under totally unscientific conditions on an airfield just north of Oxford, a slightly sick stock silver 300ZX TT (try saying that six times quickly) beat one J Clarkson (with his brand new Selfridge jeans and £400 Farhi jacket) in a stock 350Z. Twice. mwuahahaha :D  Thanks for the pic, neil. For more - visit http://www.zclub.net/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=1081 DVD out in November, apparently..... Quote

I'm sure that person wouldn't dare show their face round here again! :smw: That person (whoever he/she was) would probably blame the inability of his size 15s to operate the pedals correctly, and the weight of all that camera equipment - etc, etc!! Quote

nelsonbd Posted September 1, 2004 Posted September 1, 2004 Its obvious from that picture the 350z was at a dis-advantage -- it was at least 1 foot behind the white line... :) Barry Quote
shaunmac Posted September 1, 2004 Posted September 1, 2004 I take it the filming was for top gear then. If so, when is it going to be broadcast? Quote
Gio Posted September 1, 2004 Author Posted September 1, 2004 Sadly not Top Gear - although they have already shown a white Z32 beating a 350Z (over, IIRC, 1/5th mile). This was for a Clarkson DVD which will be out in November. Quote

RichardS Posted September 1, 2004 Posted September 1, 2004 Nice one Gio :hyper: And the prize for the fastest version of the Z goes to.......... :D Richard ;) Quote I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Guest Scottywil Posted September 1, 2004 Posted September 1, 2004 So you won overall Gio? Was the red 300 a TT too? How did the others finish? Quote
Gio Posted September 2, 2004 Author Posted September 2, 2004 The red Zed was a SWB N/A. I have no idea of the finishing order as I was hanging on for grim death with heart pounding and the cones marking the end of the strip (and the beginning of the active runway with planes taking off coming towards us  ) getting closer at what seemed like the speed of light (but was only about 92mph according to Mr Nissan). IIRC, the 350Z came second both runs and Tony's 260Z third. Quote
