  1. Fair enough, where are you fitting it then?
  2. Any of this any use to anyone? Flywheel and prop are from an NA
  3. Surely your car is far too gorgeous for an, *ahem*, hideous lump like that?!? Why not something much more modern? I've got one of these, haven't installed it yet though. Should be much easier to locate somewhere as it's very shallow. I must admit I'm slightly confused why people are still hankering over really old models that look a bit naff imo...
  4. Hmm odd. Guess you'll have a jack it up and inspect, see if the slave/fork is moving with the pedal. Worth checking the pedal pin hasn't come out I suppose if it feels THAT light.
  5. Anyone interested in these? Removed from my turbo manual, for use with stock elbows. The chambers are not hollow, they have silencers in them. Could post if needed.
  6. Hydraulic fluid leak, needs bleeding, clutch master or slave gone, pedal might need adjusting as well. Guess the fork could have fallen off somehow but I'd be surprised at that! Or more dramatically you could have snapped the pressure plate but I'd be even more surprised at that!! Sure you're using the right pedal? :tt2: Someone could have nicked your gearbox without you knowing... The list is endless :stupid:
  7. Part number is here to help your search https://conceptzperformance.com/nissan-infiniti-nissan-oem-front-brake-hardware-shim-kit-nissan-300zx-90-96-z32-41080-40p26_p_953.php
  8. As usual my pace on managing to get anything done is dictated by the car being at my parents until our garage is built so I can only work at weekends, but then I want to get this driving before I do the garage so that's hardly rocketing along either! But I have been putting my old zed back together ready to sell which has taken some time. I picked up another gearbox a few weeks ago and am just having to hope that it will be ok. Even if it's not perfect, it will do. So I pulled the broken gearbox out Saturday, started to fit the new one Sunday but then found out that as it's an NA box it won't fit over my aftermarket clutch! Or flywheel either for that matter which is a bit odd as you'd think it was same size as a stock TT that I've read will fit in an NA. But there you are. Could have ground it out but as I had the bellhouse of a knackered TT box to hand I decided to swap them over. Not difficult, just time consuming making sure all the surfaces are clean etc, and messy as the new box hadn't been drained before it was removed! I didn't know so there was a LOT of oil! After doing that, managed to get the box in the car with a couple of bolts but not everything else reassembled yet. I didn't mention it before but moving the car on the ramps made me think of it again. Something in the transmission was knocking/banging on takeoff and when on/off throttle on both my old car and my new. Gearbox and prop have been transferred between the two, I can't see how it could be the gearbox so I don't think the new one will make a difference, and it's not the prop, it's one of Jim's one piece ones and has only done a few thousand miles, joints are still solid. So I guess it must be the diff coincidentally on both? You wouldn't expect a 50k mile diff to have worn so I might do the bushes whilst it's half apart anyway. I'm hoping I'll be able to finish it off next weekend, fingers crossed. As an aside, sorry for lack of pictures but I'm generally a bit dirty when working on cars so I don't want to pick up my phone, don't know how you guy's get so many all the time!
  9. I've almost always got bushing and bearings out with a vice. Have always needed a pole (3ft) on the vice handle though to get the leverage needed! Needed a pole on either side of the handle once for a wheel bearing, with a person on each pole pushing/pulling as hard as they could. Bench the vice was bolted to started disintegrating but it came out! Normally use a socket to push out whatever it is. Except the last time I did a wheel bearing due to the geometry of the hub there was no way I could get at it with the vice. Took it to a halfords autocentre and they got it out and pressed the new one in in no time flat. Would have taken me hours to do it even if I could! The moral of my tale? If you're struggling just take it to a friendly garage and be done with it!
  10. Is there a reason you've decided to all this in the summer when you could be driving it? [emoji13]
  11. Ha I did wonder but the way you wrote it made it sound like you had! Thanks for the info
  12. Ha you've made my day hearing that, did you do it yourself then?
  13. Good chance of the rear screen not breaking then? Build looks epic by the way!
  14. Do you know if they do rear windscreens as well?
  15. It looks truly hideous there
  16. They're not exactly elegant are they. Really look like they're trying too hard to look edgy IMO and just makes is messy
  17. As Joel has said this is all idle and useless speculation without the wheel widths and offsets as well as diameter, you're gearing up for a potentially costly mistake! I've got 275's on my 9.5" rear wheels with an offset of 35 and they don't catch so long as it's not lowered too much and even then only when there's someone in the back, wouldn't catch at all if I just took my 5mm spacers off to make them 40 offset or got the lip rolled. Like someone else said the dimensions will be stamped on the wheels somewhere.
  18. Am supposed to be taking one of mine for an MOT tomorrow afternoon but the front windscreen washer motor has packed up! Anyone anywhere vaguely near Wokingham (Reading) got one I could come and get?!?
  19. Pair of recirc valves, £25 posted for the pair? I've got some air con bits lying around that I don't need any more, if there's any interest in them I'll try and come up with a price!
  20. Set of brand new door hinges, sealed in bags. £20 each plus £3 postage HIDs, £35 plus £5 postage
  21. Bought this a while ago but I don't need it anymore. Info on the rebuild can be found here http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=329192, I suggest you read that thoroughly before buying this! Note it's not actually for a Z32 but can be used. Packaging is a bit battered but it's all there and still all sealed etc. £40 delivered
  22. Quite a small request! Just one exhaust hanger
  23. Anyone got one? Seems really hard to find at the moment! Could do with one pretty quickly
  24. I need some hoses to attach the auto oil cooler hard lines to the rad. Seems the OEM hoses are unavailable now, is there a reason I can't use generic oil hose for this? Something like this https://www.merlinmotorsport.co.uk/p/rubber-oil-hose-10mm-3-8-inch-inside-diameter-per-1-2-metre-m-rh-6 Does anyone know what size I need? I don't have access to the car during the week at the moment so can't check.
  25. Cheers, CZP have the wrong part listed on their website then! More cost effective to swap the transmissions between my two than buy a whole new setup for my new one, by the time I bought new clutch, lightened flywheel, one piece prop etc
