  2. Much difference between koyo and mishimoto? Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
  3. Cursed it for eating it's radiator. At least I noticed before it overheated I guess Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
  4. Two random things I realised today: 1) Passengers door card has a handle and drivers doesn't 2) US specs don't have side indicators Both have slightly blown my mind in that I've never noticed either before! Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
  5. Yea I suspect they've all gone as well, the sound is abysmal. I've got a whole system to install thanks! Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
  6. Think I may have found the problem Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
  7. How did it get like that? Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
  8. Eventually I was forced to  At least it's not just me! It wasn't that cold really, but as soon as I pulled out of my mates drive sideways at 10mph I knew it was going to be a slow ride home. Mine always spins the rears for a few minutes whatever the weather though, just not as bad as that normally
  9. Drove mine across London Friday night, but it was too cold for the poor old girl just wheelspan everywhere Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
  10. I think when I looked it up a few years ago I settled on 7 turns, which I got exactly. But don't quote me on that, don't want to put false safety related information out there Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
  11. You know I'm doubting myself now....I think actually the hub lip stuck out enough that I could get the centre bore adapters on, so the wheel is still aligned when bolted up. The lips do nothing else but that. But either way, nothing fancy required for a 5mm spacer when I did it. Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
  12. This all seems like a lot of fuss IMO, I have 5mm H&R spacers on the rear with hubcentric lips, and there was enough thread left with my wheels to not bother with longer studs. Job done. As you already have a 5mm spacer, see if you can get enough turns on the nuts for it to be safe. Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
  13. I paid £490 two years ago for mine to be done when it first came in with Dinitrol. They did EVERYTHING. Not sure if Jimmer remembers but if he does he can attest! There was cavity wax seeping out of everywhere when I got it back. Including the aluminium bonnet  but the guy knew what he was doing, was telling me before he did it how he'd have to do two passes because on these cars you can't get to everything at once etc etc..so he clearly had experience! I wasn't really sure what to expect before it was done. As for suspension out, oh they weren't fussed about that, all suspension, running gear, exhaust, the lot was covered. Some blobs on the inside of my wheels too. The engine was kept clean though. Car stank for a few months! And the exhaust crackled and popped as it cooled, though I replaced it anyway. I can't say I'm disappointed, I don't care what the underneath looks like so long as it's protected, but if doing it again I would know to ask what their plan was and discuss it! Maybe the place Jimmer mentioned are more careful and that's why it's more expensive. I was told doing it every 10 years was sufficient. You have to be careful when jacking it though, the stuff is very slippery. All that said, when mine was done it was fresh in so was spotless underneath...nothing for them to cleanup/look at before they covered it. If yours has been around here for 12 years, it might not be ready to accept it straight away. I don't think it would be a good idea to seal any rust in...
  14. I always seem to lose a bit of coolant with no signs of how, hopefully a rad cap will sort it!
  15. How many wheels does one car need [emoji14] Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
  16. Yea, to be fair pretty good of him. Mines an import, and did have cats as standard, but I've removed them. Passed this morning at another garage though :) he started doing the wrong emissions test as well, but was quite happy with my sheet. He was really good actually, spent the time to point out a few niggly little bits to me because he knew I'd like to see! One of which was both front coolant hoses collapsed...never seen that before. It did take a while to heat up. When he undid the rad cap they popped back out. The cap wasn't quite on properly though, so I'm hoping its just that doing something weird. Was fine after the drive home, will have to keep an eye on it. Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
  17. Yes I'm slightly embarrassed I had to ask [emoji14] but I was thrown by him saying it was a new rule. Funny how I've never associated the emissions regs with the end of UK sale but I guess they align! Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
  18. He didn't actually charge me (abandoned the test) so he was quite nice about it! Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
  19. Was just thinking to myself I need to update my location  in Feltham now but if I get stuck I'll look them up! Thanks though
  20. Thanks, so it hasn't changed and is as I thought. Guess I'll just take it to another garage round the corner and see what they say!
  21. Well this says the visual requirement is only for cars needing a full cat test, which mine doesn't, so as far as I can tell the rules haven't changed, but maybe the software they use has (hence it prompted him)? Not sure what I should do...
  22. He just said the system told him cars that age needed a cat, full stop. Reading this (assuming it's up to date) it still only needs to basic emissions test as it was first used June 95, but can't find anything about visual inspection of cats
  23. :( said he could also have failed it for noise as it's a non standard exhaust (but wouldn't). Anyone else come across needing cats for later cars? Or know of a 'decent' garage in west london? Edit: Passed fine last time, he said it's to do with the new rules introduced in 2018
  24. Well at least I managed it today! Will try and get it MOT'd tomorrow as it expired whilst it was blocked in. Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
  25. Went out to see if mine needed charging after sitting in the garage for 6 months (blocked in by 20 tons of earth) but it started instantly! That's one hell of a battery. Hopefully can give it a clean tomorrow if I'm not too hungover Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
