  1. Thanks! Once I got the jet-engine in, the rest was a breeze! :D
  2. I think this has been mentioned before, but how does the disc back plate / guard come off? I have a feeling the whole hub needs taking apart.
  3. After finishing building a Bat Mobile , I painted some Z parts. I also zinc painted my brake pipes and fuel lines, so many fuel lines... Then I jet washed the engine bay and the rear undercarriage, I then applies some zinc paint. My under-seal is still with Royal Mail. When I got home, I drank some Stella and posted these... (hence the Bat Mobile)
  4. Oh, it all changes at 30...things start to hurt, then just snap off when you least expect it!
  5. I took the rear subframe assembly off my NA -
  6. I had a similar issue with my replacement front discs, and ended up replacing my calipers with turbo ones, it was just easier!
  7. Thought someone might be interested in these - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Amber-blade-style-LED-side-indicators-with-Nissan-logo-x2-for-nissan-350z-03-07-/120971030763?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1c2a6f70eb I can't decide if they're nasty and tacky or not..
  8. Not sure if this helps, but these work with HICAS and cruise... http://www.zcentre.co.uk/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.pbv.tpl&product_id=208&category_id=76&keyword=boss&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=7
  9. I pulled my 'shells' rear sub-frame assemble out. Just cause I was bored and felt like it!! lol, no, need to swap the turbo with the NA. Work so far can be seen here - https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10200455308479029.1073741825.1046268565&type=1&l=1c32d0655b
  10. Cheers! I removed the rear subframe today, so feeling a lot more confident about doing the engine! :)
  11. To those who have removed their engine / gearbox - is it easier to remove them separately, or together? I'll be transplanting them into a new shell, so it seems to make sense to remove and transplant them together, as a single 'unit'. Just thought I'd ask opinions of those who have done it, if it's a total nightmare doing it with them joint together, then I'll just unbolt the gearbox. Thanks!
  12. Thanks! Just what I was looking for, though $37.95 is a little steep, even with the mirror finish! :)
  13. I'm sure I saw something a couple years back...but can't find it. Does anyone know if replacement '3000 V6' sticker / badges are available for the center 'cable cover' on top of the engine? I would like to paint mine and have tried removing the badge with the usual hairdryer trick, but it's going to mess up the badge, probably wont be reusable. Cheers.
  14. Interesting! I need to print this and check it out. Cheers! There are about 5 wires I think. I hope it hasn't been messed around with too badly...
  15. Ok, during my ongoing attempts to remove the main ECU / engine harness I noticed it had been spliced into - The Toad (Ai606 I think) is spliced into the interior harness, which does attach to this harness via a socket plug connection, but doesn't seem to be connected to the engine harness directly. I thought maybe it was for the immobiliser. Just wondered if anyone had this on their NA (or TT), as I don't want to go to all the trouble of installing a dodgy harness. Cheers!
  16. I have this one - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Maypole-9871-Breathable-Car-Cover/dp/B000W4GEKE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1366580887&sr=8-1&keywords=car+cover+large It's slightly larger than it needs to be (on a LWB) but I have a feeling medium would be too small. Good cover for the money though.
  17. My front discs came from the Brake Depot on ebay - http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/m.html?_odkw=&item=300720016199&pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&_osacat=0&hash=item46044f4b47&_ssn=brake-depot&_trksid=p2046732.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0&_nkw=300zx&_sacat=0&_from=R40 Had no problems and seem to be good quality. I don't think they'll beat the price on your link...maybe if you called and asked.
  18. So, I pulled the dashboard out at the weekend, I'm up to pulling the aircon out. (See second link in my sig below for pics) However, following the wire harness down to the headlights; it appears that I won't need to replace this harness, as the breakers have only cut through the harness that connects directly to the engine (to get the engine out the lazy way I guess). Although I think I already know the answer, does the interior harness, for clocks, pods, seat, headlights etc, connect to the main engine harness at all? If it doesn't then I only need replace the main engine hardness! :)
