  1. I finished painting my engine bay and built a hoist -
  2. Those pics are from a while ago, but I'm sure I tested it. I remember seeing the connecting pipe on the inside. I could be going crazy, but if that isn't the front drain then I have no front targa drains (which might explain a few things!) lol
  3. Rear - (well, what's left of it). The water drains out of a small slit (or preformed/pressed section), right at the back where the sill joins together, it's only about 2mm wide and about 4cm long. I'm unsure if the pipe is fixed inside, I thought it was, there is a piece of rusted steel in the end of the pipe below, which I had assumed was once connected to a drain pipe within the rear sill quarter. I plan to protect my new shell to the max, so will be getting in there to do some work, to stop anything like this every happening. Front - Way higher up and in a total different place than what I was expecting. I always read that they drained around the fuse-box area further down below, but no, here they are. They drain inside the wing and the water runs down off the sill. I think the rear is the worse idea (Nissan, what were you thinking?!) but the front one still isn't brilliant.
  4. LOL, yes, I totally understand! I've spent way too much time on some things making things perfect and no one will ever see them! I'll know though!
  5. It looks good! I wouldn't worry too much about grinding the welds down, as the carpet will cover them, though I understand, as I'd do the same. As long as it's strong; that's the main thing! :)
  6. Yep, I understand, I know I need the NA clutch cylinder with the NA clutch and the booster with the TT. I thought you meant the bolt alignment was different, or something like that. I'm back over to my Zed's on Saturday, so I'll see where the booster pipe is leading too. If someone could tell me whether I need all those vacuum canister, it would be really useful! (http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/546/ce0.gif/) Cheers
  7. I've been looking at clutch booster diagrams, and I'll need to check that I have all the relevant pipes and vacuum bits before I give it up, but are you saying the NA clutch won't fit anyway?
  8. Don't I have to? I'm putting my NA engine into a turbo shell. The turbo shell has the clutch booster, but as I'm not putting a turbo engine in, can I use the booster? Do I just need to connect it to the vacuum? Sorry, not to sure howt he booster works, but I thought I wouldn't be able to use it as it connects to turbo bits that I don't have.
  9. I plan to pull my engine soon, and I want to do the clutch whilst it's out. Just OEM as I'm running stock power. Is the Z Centre price a good price, or is there a better place to buy - http://www.zcentre.co.uk/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.pbv.tpl&product_id=35&category_id=3&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=7 I haven't worked out how much Z Centre delivery is yet. I've seen some on ebay, but I've read many posts where people have ended up with TT clutches,or Z31 clutches... I have a limited window to get the engine out, do the EGR removal, fix a hole in my sump, and replace the clutch, so I don't want to end up with incorrect parts. Cheers!
  10. LOL, I guess you do! You have a nice Zed! One day I may park next to you, in a year or so... Though I never make it in early enough to park in that part of the car park!
  11. I heard thunder, a few times, around 5am this morning, but no rain here, none.
  12. One of mine is an NA and the other a TT, both rear and both JDM, both 21mm.
  13. I see, so I assume you've bunged up your holes?
  14. Something I've been meaning to ask for ages. What's the point of the air intake pipes that lead into the wings on the NA? On the turbo, these downpipes, off the main air intake pipes, lead to the dump valves. I would have expected bunged pipes on the NA, but instead you get this complicated (and from what I can see is pointless) mess of plastic that goes off into the wing. I don't plant to use these i my rebuild, I plan to just bung the holes, unless someone tells me otherwise.
  15. I think the floor plate only attaches to the inner sill (the one you can see on the inside of the car, so in your pic). Based on my own experience, the inner membrane simply goes top to bottom. I could be wrong, but I didn't have a lot to go on as you can see (below). I guess there is no harm in taking the floor plate to the inner membrane and then folding it down into the join at the bottom, but to be honest I really don't think you need to, especially for such a small area. This isn't a Zed, it might help -
  16. I'd been inhaling zinc paint fumes all day...that's my excuse! :D
  17. I should have considered that the same nuts for the cylinder would also be for the cage... Cheers, it would have taken me ages to realise! Which is worrying!!! :blushing:
  18. I think the JDM were thicker than the UK ones. I can measure my JDM one tomorrow if know one knows off hand.
  19. Ok, went to swap the clutch cylinder from my NA onto my turbo shell. I know TT's have a pump, so knew I'd need to swap. I removed the cylinder from the engine bay, then got under the TT dash and thought ok, tight, but fine... Went to check out the NA (which is already stripped down) only to find there are no nuts! There are no nuts in the engine bay either. So how do I get the NA clutch assembly off?! NA - TT
  20. I did this - Zinc painted my rear subframe (which takes WAY longer than you expect!!!) Then the fuel filler pipe, I've made sure it wont rust anytime soon (like my last one) - I don't understand why the bracket has a hole in the end, there's nothing to fasten it to -
