Front number plate
Back when I was a teen I had a cool, yet illegal plate, wrong spacing, wrong font... I was pulled over twice. On one occasion the Police person decided to block traffic whilst advising me of my wrong doings. So, in the end it just wasn't worth it, I went back to standard plates. If you mean import square (motorcycle style) I think they're ok. I had a similar size on the front of my Probe and had no problems.

Has anyone viewed this Zed, or know anything about it?
Yeah, exactly! He's going to send me pics tomorrow, but I won't bid until I've seen it in person and prodded around.

He's going to take some pics underneath. I've asked him to take pics specifically where the floor panel meets the sill. I've got hi mobile number now, but he doesn't seem very receptive about me seeing it in person....hmm... I've just been looking at my Project Z (link below) and now thinking I should just finish what I've started.

So I saw this and thought hmm, if I got it cheap then I would haven't to spend the next two years welding my sills, I could combine two NA's and create one perfect one, I'd also have plenty of spares - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251232138498?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2648 I've mailed the guy asking about the condition of the sills and he replied "The sills look average in my opinion". So I've responded asking some questions and if it would be ok to view it, jack it up and prod... I just wondered if anyone knew anything about it as I see its been re-listed once, but also receiving no bids (probably as they guy has only 2 feedback).

Project Z has begun.
Cheers, just wish I had more time! That the rear Targa drain there in the pic, hanging down. At the moment I haven't done anything with it, but will be sorting it out so it has a nice exit. :) The front ones drains out at around the bottom of the wing. If the front becomes detached it can soak your fuse box etc causing major electric probs. I've already checked mine and internally it was fine, still connected.

I've done the other rear side now, an improvement on the near side I think, I feel like I'm getting the hang of it now. Same link, I think - https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.3371862809137.152612.1046268565&type=1&l=93205a0670 More recent pics are at the start of the album, though had to move some around so it made linear sense.

Words just cant discribe this lol (not in a good way)
I like the red on black interior, but that yellow centre section needs to go. As for exterior, well that's a lot of vents and scoops.

Rear subframe to chassis mounts
Jeff TT - Please can you give me a price for two of these, one for each side and postage? Or should I be doing this in the trader section now? Cheers.

Rear subframe to chassis mounts
Cheers! I have to admit its been difficult. When I took off the rear bumper and discovered what lay beneath I was disheartened, but I figured ok, it will take a little longer. I even started looking for a shell to transplant, but that didn't work out and transport costs were going to be silly. Then then at the beginning of this week I discovered that the front of the drivers side sill which I originally thought was ok was actually a rotten mess. After some prodding and poking I was actually able to pull off the front wing off at the bottom, by hand alone. It was at this point I realised the true condition of the sills...I was poking what I originally had thought was good metal only to discover that I just hadn't poked hard enough, so I figured break her...I had decided it was just too much to repair. Then I went back to your thread on the welding site, how you started with and everything you did, so once again I was given hope. I've repaired in most part, one rear panel that goes under the bumper, I'm I'm pretty happy with it, its strong and looks ok, but now I'm convinced I can do it. It's going to take a while, a long while, but I can do it! :D Thanks for the PM offer, I may PM you when I just can't take any more and need an inspirational boost, or when I can't workout how to repair one of my many rusty holes! :)

Rear subframe to chassis mounts
LOL, yep, I'm more than well aware of the corrosion, but RedWine300 (http://www.mig-welding.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=15465) inspired me, and so far (one panel) its working out fine. Financially at the moment, believe it or not, it's my best option. There's also something about fixing my 'baby' and bringing her back to life. I'm in desperate need for payday (holiday season and kids literally cleaned me out), which is a week away, but how much are we talking about for two?

Rear subframe to chassis mounts
Can anyone tell me if these have a name, and if I can buy replacements? They link the rear subframe to the chassis. As you can see, mine aren't good, I'd rather buy new than try to salvage... Cheers

battery
Have you checked the obvious like interior lights not going off, the boot light staying on for example? There is a way to test for a drain, with a Multimeter, but someone else will have to tell you how.

battery
Sure its not just time for a new battery, rather than a drain? If not, is it definitely charging when driving?

Seriously £50 for a petrol flap!
Well...have to admit, mines not doing anything right now...and I could always use £50. lol

Project Z has begun.
If I've done this right you should all be able to see the pics - https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.3371862809137.152612.1046268565&type=1&l=93205a0670 It's my first time MIG welding and working with metal on this scale, so its a little messy, but I'm getting better. So far I'm happy with the work I've done, I believe I can do the whole car now, where before I had serious doubts.

Seriously £50 for a petrol flap!
Not something I'm needing, no, I was just browsing parts and came across it, couldn't quite believe someone was asking £50 for one.

Outer Sill Removal
Cheers! Yep, I understand how it joins now, I'm hoping I can get away with cutting it about half way up, so I can get to the the middle sill to sort that, then (many years from now) I can hopefully rebuild the bottom of the sill without having to buy a whole replacement. Hoping it won't rain tomorrow, as I really need to work on my welding!

Outer Sill Removal
Hi all, Can anyone tell me how /where the outer sill is attached at the top? Is it simply a case of cutting the out sill away / off to get at the middle and inner sill for repair? LOL- Not that there's much left of the outer sill anyway, but just wondered. Cheers :)

How much is this Zed worth?
I already have an NA manual with a perfectly good engine (or at least it was last time I drove my Zed), so really I'm not interested in the engine or the turbo's, as the thought was to swap the relevant parts from mine into that one, plus its taxed and tested, so I can actually drive it back (unless its smoking a lot).

How much is this Zed worth?
Hey, Can anyone give me an estimate to how much this Zed is worth, how much you'd offer - http://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/1991-nissan-300zx-tt/108598730#gallery-item-full-7 I'm not sure, but I'd say somewhere between £700 - £800...

Can an MX6 (2.5 V6) happily pull a car transporter with a Zed on it?
Thanks I've been getting quotes from a place called Anyvan, but all were £200 or more.

Wow, that's insane, I mean it literally is like a comedy sketch, especially with the nervous kid running away to freak out all the time. lol. Probably shouldn't laugh.
