to be honest thought about it seeing as i build/repair pc's on a daily basis it's just the fold away screens are so much money at the moment that by time you have bought one seperate it's the price of these units or over

door problem
have cured this problem now i had wrong adjustment on the blue plastic piece the handle connector rod goes into causing doors not to unlock

ok can anyone help with this one, just fitted new door handle on the z tested it all seemed to work ok, shut the door now cant open it locking works off the key and internal lock handle but cant open door on either internal or external handles is there any way to get the door open? door card is part off the door so got limited access

does any one know what size/thread the pre drilled/threaded holes are on the front number plate mounting on a j spec z have tried metric and they dont fit also the previous plastic number plate screws in there were not a good fit

ok it's official
well yes top end got rebuilt.......but i did that and the cam belt change myself in the end body work is just waiting for him but work has stalled last time i went down there he had bits off other vehicles stacked all over the z which i was not happy about i'm now either going give him a good kick to finish body work so i can sell it on or may even just get it back and break it, i will be moving all the under bonnet bling and audio install on to the new z though (once i get the mot done) it does mean i'll have a few bits to shift soon that now wont go on the white zed so watch this space

i know what the units are but have no idea how they work top one is a boost controller bottom one is turbo timer i think but not sure how they work boost cont i'm not touching but turbo timer cant find detail as everything on unit is in japanese

hi pete good to hear from you yes still doing my thing not quite so busy now hence why boredom set in and i bought another z lol 6 months ago was doing 6 nights a week but had no time for anything else now only doing 3 a week lol will let you know on window as i've contacted my insurance company to claim off them but at present they are trying to locate one (if they can get one that is) tell you what i do need though pete the plastic (i think) part that fits on the back of the lock barrel to connect it to the locking rod (drivers side)

cheers old git sorry old zed i looked at the invoice and the tubs were changed in 2006 so a while ago now........but in 4 years it's only 9000 miles which i thought was to low but i have all the old mot certs and they confirm the miliage (yes it is in mph not km's lol) thanks for the welcomes guys thanks for the offer baz maybe in touch going to try the insurance route first as it only costs me £50 for any glass claim, and looking i'm guessing the rear 1/4 windows are bonded?

thanks yts just been looking through invoices, the car is now on 64k miles at 50k miles it had cambelt change just before that it had £2749 spent on the engine i'm guessing larger turbo's maybe as the pair were £950

i'm back in a zed mad a off the cuff trip to bolton today bought this one with no mot but as i'm sure the pics will show it's a pretty tidy z had loads done and will get better pics tommorrow in recent months it's had new tyres costing £1000, full powerflow system,new sony stereo and a bolt load of engine work just need to sort drivers door handle as that wont open from outside and some little scrote tried to break in last night and broke the rear 1/4 window but apart from that it's there if you know any history on this car please do let me know

well it's now offcial after a impromtu trip to bolton today i'm now back in a zed although i have turned to the dark side just need to put mot on it but it is a well sorted z and had loads spent on it

hello dave i'm good mate been busy as always but the downside is i'm now a volvo driver lol, anyway been out of a zed too long so looking at buying another at moment(did almost buy a skyline) still got the white one as well but work has kind of stalled on that so depending on what i buy will decide the fate of the other z may hold onto it till complete or use the parts i want for new one then break it
