  1. ah frank wilson the kfc advert a few years ago yes quite like soul stuff when driving myself mainly blues brothers/commitments stuff and a bit of acdc rock n roll train of course
  2. looks like the spoiler came from b&q
  3. i love a bit of jamiroqaui when driving stuff like little l, cosmic girl etc plus also 80's wise i like a bit of def leppard,ac/dc and one that keeps coming up on my mp3 playlist leftfield & lydon open up
  4. dunno because the original headlight connectors have 2 wires (live & earth) because of h3c lamps other thought i've just had maybe it was designed to fit a higher wattage h3c maybe
  5. yes it works as normal as it uses the the standard headlight connector to feed the signal to the relay, as i posted above the relay is a fet but all the wiring is labeled same so it's a kit of some sort
  6. to be fair a ebay one will cost you in region of £150 for a little more £165 i think now dan at dta can supply you one which uses a koyo core know which i spent my money on, not sure if he ordered more than just mine but i know mine is due in early next week so maybe worth giving dan a call zcentre and most places on web do not have stock of aftermarket rads as of last week and the 2 places in china that ebay sell had them but would you want to send a rad back to china if faulty?
  7. hi all just a quick one on my j spec i noticed there is extra wiring on the headlights dip beam they have taken the headlight feed from the passenger side fed it to a fet relay which then goes through 2 fuses (one for each side) then to the headlamps anyone one got any idea why this is added/what it's for? noticed my mates jspec also had this added
  8. i would try fixing drivers door lock first and test through key
  9. the rod with the yellow bar is indeed the locking rod and should be connected to the back of the lock barrel these failing is quite common on the zed, you may find someone on here that has just the plastic part if you post and ask in items wanted as that part is only available from nissan as part of a complete lock barrel, when i asked about mine (i had same problem) mr.f (mjp) quoted me around £68 for complete drivers lock barrel
  10. i did have a bid on that one myself but a few questions i asked the owner seemend very vague to be fair i asked him if cam belt had been done for example and his reply was i think it was done at the last mot at 97,000 miles, but looks quite tidy but as said above check sills etc for rust my uk model suffered quite badly especially the rear of sills by seat belt mountings etc
  11. hopefully in the next week at some point but no real hurry to be fair but as spoiler is currently painted i want to get a couple of coats of primer on first
  12. i'm gonna be changing my stock rubber rear spoiler for a fibreglass replica stock spoiler in very near future just after some tips for bonding new spoiler in place, is it best to use the bonding glue close to the edges of the spoiler so to stop water getting underneath or as they did on the one i just bought 2nd hand halfway back on the top surface and sides? my only concern with that of course is water getting under spoiler and getting in through holes left, i also notice they never bonded rear edge is that correct? other one is do i need to rough up paint before applying bonding glue? and does spoiler need to be clamped whilst glue is setting bonding glue i've bought is called master seal, polyurethane sealing and bonding compound cheers guys
  13. who cares how old you are driving a zed look at the bee gee lol
  14. sorry to hear this fella rip cassie, lost my loyal border collie about 4 months ago he was a rescue and 16yrs old, he just got up one day walked across front room as though he was drunk then just collapsed his back legs failed and he had to be put to sleep, i've got another rescue dog now as the house never felt the same they do leave a big space when they go
  15. glad to hear they stopped it in time i got caught a couple of years back went to buy something on my mastercard and it got declined by the bank anyway after speaking to them got told my card was over it's limit...............i though what the f**k so went home checked my statement on line as i knew i had around £1500 on the card with a 8k limit, when i checked the statement there was nearly 7k of purchases in and around reading (considering i had not been anywhere near reading for 2 years at that point) but it was all places like b & q one spend was 3grand on a sit on mower anyway long shot was they refunded all my money and caught the theiving little barsteward that did it, i tihnk he's still inside as i type
  16. yes you can use same earth points for guages, you can either take ignition live from back of barrel before the fuse (straight onto the terminal at the back) or you should have a ignition live feeding to the cd player
  17. it has always been a problem with plastic parts i used to work in a body shop 20yrs ago and the problem with metallic paint was there then we did get plastic bumpers to match body but cant for the life of me remember how
  18. we are all for upping the value of our nicer cars
  19. got to say i hate the look of that ratting shite to something like a zed? are the chavs invading? a z is not a fooking vw thank god
  20. i'm not sure it is but it smells a bit like acetone
  21. think when i did my last one i used some special glue remover as used by windscreen companies to remove glue and gunk off paintwork without damaging paint
  22. zcentre also used to sell these but look for mr.f on here i'm sure he can get them
