Hi all, Im new to the Z scene, I went out on a whim and bought this...

shes currently in the shop having water pump, cambelt, tensioners, viscous unit and turbo gaskets replaced.

 

As you can see its been fettled with at some point, it boosts and pulls a lot harder that stock (so Ive been told by another Z owner), its got a full stainless on it but apart from that I have no idea whats goin on in there! Just wondered if anyone knew anything about it as theres no history at all with it!

did you check fot rust underneath they can suffer really bad. The rest looks nice and clean :thumbup:

i did have a bid on that one myself but a few questions i asked the owner seemend very vague to be fair i asked him if cam belt had been done for example and his reply was i think it was done at the last mot at 97,000 miles, but looks quite tidy but as said above check sills etc for rust my uk model suffered quite badly especially the rear of sills by seat belt mountings etc

lovely looking motor, 360 is perfectly realistic bhp but the engine mods list is vague - why mention uprated turbos and not know what sort. even if its only standard power its still a nice motor

cheers for the comments guys, yeah shes pretty clean, minimal rust, none on the body. some clown has dented the sills whilst jacking and theres a bit of rust starting on that damage.. other than that shes all good! I'll post some better pics when shes out of the shop (having water pump and cam belt changed) ;)
