  2. not sure on mot failiure mine was leaking when i mot'd car and it passed
  3. think i'll wait till it gets really bad or others fail then replace witrh poly bushes
  4. hi all just notcied one of my front rear subframe bushes has a gungy/silicone like slime all over it so guessing i've got one bush gone is it a subframe out job to replace one of the front bushes?
  5. mine is doing the same blip the throttle and the smoke clears itself but one of my pcv's has quite a oily mess around it i would go with changing the valves first as they are the cheapest option
  6. i can remember it well all the worry about how long you 2 were gone
  7. would that be the time you took yami's z down the m5 with greg?
  8. first of all make sure you steering wheel is in the centre position whils driving forward as the hicas is controlled by a sensor plate on the back of the wheel i had same problem with mine and had to move steering wheel round to fix it, if that fails to cure it (or your steering wheel is ok) jack up the rear of the car and check for play in all the joints i had play in the hicas steering joints on the rear on my last zed also causing similar problems, also check subframe bushes (these will be leaking a horrible oil/silicone type gunge if failing) and if all else fails if all the joints seem fine with no play etc get the 4 wheel tracking checked
  9. yes dta can still get these i had one of him a couple of weeks back most of the other suppliers (ebay etc) have no stock and dont know when they will get stock, but the dta one uses a koyo core and the build quality is fantastic
  10. 260 is not a bad figure for a stock car after x amount of years as the engine will lose bhp over time anyway
  11. cool thanks guys well after several hours and various pairs of long nose pliers in use i managed to replace the drivers side turbo hose so thats both sides of the bypass done now so hopefully no more water problems it turned out the metal spring clips had eaten into the hose and was causng the leak thats both sides within a week of each other then developed a misfire (have started thread on it) as after swapping coil packs then plugs around it all sprung into life
  12. maybe a silly one but have you tried cleaning the plug on the offending cylinder? it may have a weak spark or something
  13. i did look at these for mine but to be honest i dont think they look quite right, bit to boy racer in my opinion i've currently got stock lights fitted and now i've replaced the cracked one can live with the scratches till i get the funds up together to go for 99 spec rear lights in my opinion the best looking rear lights for a zed
  14. maybe connector needs a good clean
  15. well thats the prob i did swap coil packs and the misfire stayed i then swapped plugs and the misfire dissapeared so a little strange
  16. had similar problem on mine today developed a misfire swaped coil pack no difference then swapped plugs between 2 cylinders and it fired back into life not sure what caused it, only thing i can suggest is try swapping plugs if the injector is clicking it should be putting fuel into the cylinder
  17. hi all the zed developed a strange misfire today dont think i missed it when i bought the car but anyway rear cylinder passenger side bank was missing i swapped coil packs with a working cylinder and misfire was still present i then removed the plug it felt tight in places when loosening it but looked ok nice grey tip etc i then swapped it with the plug from number 2 cylinder (so rear cylinder now has coil pack and plug from number 2) and it's now ok any thoughts what it could be? originally when i found the fault removing the connector from the rear cylinder coil pack made no difference to the engine running (i 'e missfire showing up)
  18. depending on which side it is it's either washer bottle leaking/overfilled (drivers side) or passenger side could be overflow bottle is to full so as water from rad enters the bottle th excess is being pushed out just keep eye on water levels over next few times of use
  19. cool will be good to catch up i just need to get this damn turbo pipe replaced it's decided to start letting off pressure when car is either slow traffic or static
  20. i may try and make it just got a slight water leak issue i need to try and sort first, anyone got a conzult or data scan they can bring?
  21. i have the original shagpile to
  22. smoke machine wont produce anywhere near enough pressure and they dont run constantly they run for 5 or so mins then shut down to reheat the element think of them as like a electric kettle as they work on similar principle
  23. thats quite ok i work in mobile disco's/pa hire etc so know about this stuff other option could be the smoke pellits plumbers/chimney sweeps use they give out a far thicker smoke
  24. fluid used for smoke machines these days does not leave any harmfull residue, just make sure it is new type fluid though as the older stuff was oil based and quite nasty
  25. must be 3 weeks he said to me
