  1. Well there's something in this heap that's caught the eye for some bidders......£5,100 already!!!!!!!!! So the answer is by a dog, bling it with a dodgy paint job and a few engine accessories and flog it as a fire breathing 500bhp showstopper......obviously works! I contacted the guy who is selling as to how he reckons it's a 500hp motor, aside from his look at the engine claim, he has no paperwork to substantiate it other than it goes quick!....fair play to him, now where's my spray can? lol.
  2. Lose the Spoiler and the basking shark front end and it has real potential, not negative on the wheels but plenty of good options out there.
  3. Sounds like a great move. Can you not do the full re-spray while the engine is being rebuilt, that way you can include the engine bay and get a proper job done?, or are you planning on pulling the engine again when the paint job comes up? Good luck with it all!
  4. Bit of a general swipe at someone's lifestyle! Could be she forgot her purse, and only had a fiver on her... who knows? As for finance, the majority of new car sales since 2009 have been on tick or lease...and with credit tighter than pre 2008 I would assume if it is on tick then she or the owner has passed with a good credit rating to get finance. I've been to a garage before, realising at the last moment I don't have my wallet on me, and so scuffed around for a few quid to cover what I've started putting in, a daft mistake but not uncommon... More over a new car cold get you 60 miles on a fiver and your old car (model?) might only get you 20-30? Plenty of other reasons as posted but others, but who's to know? Although a Hire or borrowed car sounds more likely.
  5. What custom show, Monsters and Goth's rides!!!!
  6. when you clean the frames, parts etc., do you get them dipped before powder coating, what method is used in metal prep?
  7. Another great Doctor Jeff Diagnosis and fault find!.....really, do people pay the bills of these garages that get away with c**p like this?, I'd be back round to them in a misfire to arrange a refund!
  8. I take it a normal entry fee applies if you are a non zed entry?
  9. Appreciate the encouragement, but wanted my Z to take part!
  10. Have a great day guys, but I won't be making it. Totally lost my Z mojo so maybe getting out completely. Hope the weather holds, sounds like a great gathering.
  11. Talk about thread Drift!!!....guess I'll have to watch it again in case I missed something about Beaulieu...
  12. Stunning Baz, Love it! Really like the smooth tailgate, highlights the Zed line much better than any wing and the wheels are "dished" perfectly....I take it the colour is purple! Well done mate!
  13. Rubbish! seats fitted up side down!
  14. Cheers Noel, looks like I will have to bail out of the SMICS or find a way to enlarge the pipework, as for the injectors, they are Venom 555's with a Socketed ECU setup for them...says Devlin! Wanted to keep SMICS as I am looking to keep a stockish look to the car!
  15. So Noz, I was going to do port work on the head and if need be the turbo outlet to match my mongoose setup , I have bought larger smics, although disappointed to find the inner diameter is only 2" albeit twice the size of the standard smics, I have the AMS manifolds and 555 injectors with a mines ECU. Pair this up with Auto or manual tubs and taking into account uprating the fuel pump, is this the basis on achieving your sort of figures?....if so I will be a very happy boy!! By the way I'm not trying to Hijack Spins thread, just adding some alternative possibilities.
  16. I have a set of Auto tubs, thanks to Ash, which although little play would benefit a 360 upgrade as I am more interested in acceleration than top end. However the current engine has standard Tubs, which supposedly were rebuilt (not sure how you tell) and they were still strong when the bottom end went! perhaps I should opt for these on a first rebuild and although I thought they were just for bigger power, perhaps I will add the 555's as Jaffa suggested.
  17. Thought by the title, he had lost his pet cat to Scooby!!
  18. But surely that would be overkill, I would of had the Tubs to max the potential, but decided budget and ultimately big power wasn't going to happen! I do have the ECU with the 555's so I guess they would run right off the key?
  19. Exactly what I'm now going to do. I have already bought the side mounts and lightened pulleys, I will also be adding twin separate cone filters (currently 1 x HKS) and then put a new 360 kit into some auto tubs fitted to AMS manifolds. Then a bit of Noz magic! and hopefully 400+. No need for my 555 injectors or Rods and pistons after all that!
  20. As I said before the Type II looks superb, wouldn't mind one with the diffuser, but it does make me think that the shape may be lost on the best colour Zed (black) and needs to be on a brighter (bling) colour like Red or White. Lol! Would be good if they cold show their product on different colours to give an idea on how they sit.
  21. Agreed! Car Mad's is more stock flat, I think the Twin Z's is stunning and really highlights the natural curve of the zed's rear.......and if my wife reads this then I'm in trouble!
  22. Well done Jason!, so Rolandas no need to sell!
  23. Thread hijack more like!
  24. Thank god for that!! Cheers Gary... I think this thread has lost the plot already.
  25. Should have checked, wasn't sure! Lol! Can a MOD or Rocker! change the thread Title please if poss. Ta!
