  1. That's such a cool shot, taken this week during a McLaren filming day...I think McLaren are going to show their hand this week in the second test.
  2. Yep, same here. I had a tour of the whole complex thanks to my friends dad-in-law being the ex FD of McLaren cars! The technology in the design and eco structure is astonishing, it's why you always know the F1 team will come back to the top again, Resources and Knowhow.
  3. Like that a lot!, For a track day special! or even a club racer in Modsports.
  4. Good work, I much prefer the cowling location, I hate pillar or dash top mounted gauges... reminds me a bit of the TVR Cerebra, that I believe used to have cowl mounted dials.
  5. As title, trolling Ebay came across these, which are a bit thread topical at the moment. Might be of interest to someone....but be advised, there not mine, I have no knowledge of the seller and no answers to any questions, I am.....clueless. Lol! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/391053735927?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271776256181?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  6. Hi Mandy, although we may have been strangers in person, I have always enjoyed the banter and enthusiasm you have given this club and its members over the few years I have been a part of it and not least provided this club with one of the finest Zeds we have, that is a legacy that will be looked after and appreciated. long, long in to the future. But I hope the you find all the comfort and strength from your family and friends and know that among this forum you are and will always be a bright light and we look to have your company for however long we are blessed.
  7. Happy Birthday Richard :happybday: Always good timing to have your birthday before a weekend...enjoy a few :pint:
  8. When there is no longer any road beneath you!!!
  9. Engine development is restricted to a token system with an allowance against the upgrade of individual components. But they are now allowed to develop the engines through the season, rather than at homologation which is the end of February. Main design changes are around the nose and front bulkhead to ensure the main nose section at the front is only 50mm off the ground and reg's designed to stop the ugly (dodgy) looking appendages from last season. There is also a small weight increase allowance so teams with the larger drivers (Button, Hulk) won't have to starve them before every race!! Other than that its pretty well a development of last year, although first impressions of the cars in testing, suggest the engines have become louder and the cars a little more friendly to the eye. I think we will see Lotus come on strong again during the season, but Williams, Mercedes and Ferrari will be quick out of the box. Don't expect much from McLaren initially, but if they have reliability and they haven't cocked up the Aero as in the last three seasons then that car could be very quick indeed, it looks superb from an aero point of view!
  10. I'm still looking forward to F1 2015 and followed the testing religiously, but F1 is in a bad state and losing at least one maybe three teams before the start of the season is a poor indictment of where it is going......even the Silverstone ticket offers won't get me back there this year, but no doubt I will sadly waste another 20 weekends glued to every piece of coverage Sky can give me!, until I win the lottery that is, then I will go see them all in person. Lol Mercedes will mug them all the first couple of races, But Daniel Ricciardo will catch up in his Red Bull Liana!! but it will be closer this year and give it until the European legs start and then watch the Macca fly!
  11. You won't find a better selection of Franchise opportunities than this show Si. http://www.thefranchiseshow.co.uk/ As for buy to let, go North and buy accommodation for University use and get it managed, great ROI (return on investment) and a decent asset to off load in the future.
  12. Wasn't sure on the first Pic, bet defo problem on third...its got a big thumb stuck in it. Good find Buddy,
  13. I don't think the wobbles and Bay city rollers will ever mix seamlessly Rich!
  14. And it's Noel for clarification!...definitely your Man though.
  15. dislike the new spoiler, but its an improvement over the wing. That said the wing would work if the whole car had been built up for a task special!
  16. If your going to rebuild it the condition is not so important as long as its not cracked! You could be looking at a couple of hundred or £500 + for one ready to drop in... I have a good spare but might need a bit of valve sealing on 1 and 3 and that's going for around £300
  17. £3.5 k in parts and Labour? depends whether your doing it yourself or need the hired help, even then this is top end money for a stock build. If its the one cylinder it could be the rings or tappets if its down on pressure. Get a leak down test on it, you should find more about what's going on that way before fretting over build costs.
  18. Sounds like it's missing, have you checked for spark and injector performance... I cant hear any bearing issues though!
  19. Question is, why were these not balanced in China before shipping?
  20. Seems strange TT would be asked to get involved with these as their cost and then the freight from China to UK then UK to US surely makes them unviable to sell...although they probably make it up with international shipping of $300 Bucks!! Unless TT have a little side business exporting the Tubs as OEM for JM and others, perhaps we just weren't meant to to find out!....however gives the tubs a lot more credibility.
  21. Nice work Gaz, good pics as well.
  22. The very fact that modern fuels have cleaning agents in them and yet still fuel systems get clogged up suggests that they have little effect at all, just a feel good marketing stroke for the oil barons to exploit! of course premium grade fuel with performance additives may improve an engines running, but at 7-10P a litre who "feels" the difference to prove it has a real time performance advantage over standard fuel to see if the hype really works. As for the "feel" I am capable and aware enough to work out whether I am seeing real time benefits to the performance of my car, the CO2 reading produced on paper shows there is an improvement, but when I overtake and now have power on tap when I need it, whereas before it could be embarrassing, then I know this is a real time improvement. If my car engine appeared rough and you felt this through the Chassis when idling and now it isn't then I know this is a real time improvement. My BMW 5 series found a new lease of life after a Terraclean and as I say the Saab for all its horrid Fiat TDi power is now an enjoyable experience. Will this work for every car to get a noticeable change in performance, probably not! The two petrol engine cars I had done showed little noticeable change but then they were both relatively low mileage, but then I knew my cars and vans were down on power or had poor running issues and having tried both Tec 2000 and Terraclean, they all to some extent had a measurable improvement...part on paper and part on "feel". I would think if your car has had a decent rebuild or runs with little miles there probably is little or no value to getting a Terraclean and certainly in my experience a Diesel seems to benefit more from the service, but it's up to the individual to decide if they feel their car is missing something and if these solutions will sort the issues.
  23. Since that thread I have also Terracleaned my Astra and a Saab 9-5 1.9Tdi that I had picked up. The Astra had little noticeable difference in performance, but it is petrol and Low mileage, but the Saab must of been pretty choked up as it was much quicker, more responsive after the clean. Having now done five vehicles on Terraclean I would say there is a performance gain as well as a running improvement (smoother) on the engines, but Diesels seem to benefit far more. I except there is a school of thought about this cleaning all the old crap carbon from your engine and in this case fuel system deposits with the result that you may expose any worn issue with the engine in doing so, but what's the point of driving around in a choked up performance car because your worried about exposing the wear that's really going on! If your serious about running an engine efficiently then this potential wear issue still needs to be sorted. Terraclean certainly improves performance and the running of your car engine, as to whether you have other issues after that, is down to the individual car and its inherent condition.
  24. Shame it clashes with Goodwood revival so won't be able to make it, However good to see numbers rising for a good z attendance.
