Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao
Two yanks are suing Pacman and his team for $3m on behalf of all those who watched the fight (nice of them!) on the basis he didn't let the viewers know he had a shoulder injury...America, gotta love it! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/boxing/32594782

Star Zed, a Micheal bay production!!
Ok! Maybe just another Zed for sale with an overdose of the "Bay" signature lens flare to help it along. UK spec, owner 20 years, to be honest I like it, had a lot of work and one of the better wide body's I've seen. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1990-NISSAN-300-ZX-TURBO-/121630395740?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item1c51bc8d5c

fast and furious 7
I don't think this was a good enough film for Statham to do his thing, although I love the first scene in the hospital. The Film is too long again, but the car stunts when not CGi'd are still good to watch. Paul Walker tribute was surprisingly quite moving and I was surprised at the number of sniffles that could be heard...still a good blow on the tissue and I was fine! Still worth a watch especially as the Odeon know serve and excellent Nachos with Heineken for £7.....

fast and furious 7
Seeing it on Saturday. My Son Paul, idolised Paul Walker (car nut reasons!) and watches the series over and over, so it's a treat before he fly's off to Iceland on a school trip early Easter day morning. I understand both of Walkers brothers have been used to complete the unfinished scenes after his untimely death.

A business question...
Well in the first instance, you have had as far as we know only one person who has arrived at this appraisal, even though the only grounds for him changing his mind was your working environment, so his point is irrelevant to the good work and reputation you have achieved thus far! But in the event his concern has been lost in translation (being a twit!) his concern was in fact not on the quality of work, but how his pride and joy would be attended to in your care and as I posted before, the reality is and to some extent understandable, would a customer feel comfortable about leaving their car on your drive for an indefinite period without any security or more concerning (please correct me if I'm wrong) no public liability insurance! Said Bentley owners concerns changed about your quality of work due to your working conditions, but In fact he may have just poorly and ignorantly explained his concern more about the environment his car would be worked on and kept in than in reality his belief in the quality of your work, which of course is why he came to you in the first place. I would assume he had the money to spend but wanted a complete loved up package for his car, forgetting that an exceptional price will not pay for this. Si, you need to put this type of ignorance to bed! the issue over premises making for a better business is a nonsense, it is a better business in any premises that will ultimately bring you the best results, customers and profit, then you can decide how best your business is served, the game changer to change will be the need for space because you are too busy...never the other way around. Good Luck mate and let's see more of these interiors....the words getting around!

A business question...
Well apparently not in the case of Mr hairdressers car and I suspect others, but not all will, rightly or wrongly, have the same opinion. We know Si's quality of work from the start, but potential new customers who already have a perception of what they expect from an upholsterer "probably having trawled various glossy websites" will perhaps have a different expectation. It depends on the market he wants to capture, as I say the further up the ladder of car exclusivity, the more likely logic will be less of a factor among his potential clientele and therefore a new direction in accommodating them may be required and at the same time adjusting your costs for said service.

A business question...
Quality of work will always keep your business alive, provided you are active enough in promoting and encouraging people to talk about it and expose it to new markets, but the issue of having a premises cannot be discounted if you are going to expand your business exposure and expect to get a higher end of the market in reward. If you put your self in a customers shoes with an upmarket (per say) vehicle, it s not a question of how good your work is (albeit Mr Bentley has contradicted himself) but the feeling of how would his vehicle be looked after in your care and that doesn't mean how you handle it, but the security of the environment it is kept and the access others may have to it. Do your for instance have third party business insurance and public liability? Can a customer be secure in the knowledge that a car left in your care at home is as safe as being housed in a garage overnight and during fit out. The business impression that a premises gives is entirely dependant on the premises themselves and any number of sins can be covered by an unscrupulous trader, just because he has lavish surroundings, but in the same vain a good trader in a basic lockup with the tools and materials on show can also convey a sense of security that the job is in good hands. It is I suppose about perception, but a premises generally will always convey a business going places as apposed to a home business, unless you are of course a service type industry. Whilst you may wish to save money for the client and thereby make more for yourself by working form home with all the associated lower overheads, you have to consider what market you are chasing! and whilst this Muppet may have a penchant for believing that its all about the look and not substance, it is never the less probably going to be an attitude held by others the higher up the "pay" scale you target the business. It is a crossroads every business owner will at some time or another have to consider. Good Luck though and take his crap with a pinch of salt, but think about the bigger picture and remember your number one strength will always be reputation!

Performance VH's Z32 VH45DE Build
Agreed!, that rear line looks a little similar to the type II rear wing form the twinz, but working this through yourself is very commendable, I think this is going to be a Stunner!

Oh Lord!!! Was he the only entry for the ultimate modified category?

found Funkysi a new car...
Looked at this again, only eight lines of basic description and no pics of the engine... with the auto box!!! I have a feeling this may still be a NA, its just the bumper has air intakes which could well be cosmetic...just get's worse!

found Funkysi a new car...
I can't believe that has come around again, must be the 3rd time since I've been on here. Fair play for having ago at your own kit but that's no excuse for such a dire design. That said much of it's salvageable for a track car and if nothing else I actually like this version of a wide arch concept and the interiors worth having.

A sad thread
That's a lovely tribute Ian. God Speed Mandy (in a Zed I expect) may your journeys be sweet and the drive enthusiastic! You will be missed but not forgotten.

Performance VH's Z32 VH45DE Build
Superb thread and a great build project, but being picky is there no way you could of created a new fuel filler lid to follow the arch line rather than leaving the dog bite out of it?

Has Jeremy gone to far this time.

Budget Question...sorry
That's because when your rock bottom industrially, democratically, socially, there is no where else to go in a recession but up. So they all came over to the UK instead!... At least many of those now contribute fully to the UK economy, so all was not lost.

Budget Question...sorry
Despite the biggest tax take of any government since the days of Cromwell, Labour managed to spend all this countries revenue on new build projects for Schools, Hospitals and MOD contracts, that all ended up overspent and under target for the numbers of projects to be completed. They sold our gold reserves to balance the books at the lowest point of Gold value and handed over the government coffers with a treasury note saying, sorry, there's nothing left. The Muppet who stands to be chancellor was the policy aid to Gordon Brown during this whole period and were totally complicit in allowing the banks and building society's to maintain a false inflation in the housing market and uncontrolled credit lending despite all the public warning of an inevitable crash. If you think Tories panda to the Banks, well it was Labour who wined and dined them and then capitulated to their demands and allowed complete deregulation so they could manage themselves!! look where that got us in 2008/09! They introduced more Quangos and committees to monitor all the Quangos and committees originally setup to run government departments and public services, put layer on layer of controlling bureaucracy onto our daily lives let alone the most surveillanced country in the world... so much for a free and democratic country! In five years not a single member of the opposition directly or indirectly involved in this period of Government has come forward to say sorry to the people for bringing our country to the brink of Bankruptcy, and yet they have contested every step of the way, the reforms made to try to bring this country back to it's feet. I speak as someone who is still heavily suffering from the damage done to my business during this period and every day is a fight to keep my head above water, but despite the obvious restrictions a coalition party has to implement policy I think overall in the time frame and given the recalcitrant nature of recovery during those first few years of this Government they've done a remarkable job. And what was Labours response to the latest budget...they didn't have one!, they have agreed they wouldn't change anything in it and why? because they are clueless, lead by an idiot and a shadow chancellor that's a complete Balls Up. Bereft of their own ideas and shadow front bench that would send this country back to the dark ages within two years of office! It won't be can the last person leaving Briton turn the lights off, it'll be shut the gates as well. Rant over, Just couldn't take another run of Labour.

UK 300zx
Think it's more of a case of an owner just not having the love for the car and dumping the original photos in perhaps of when he first took ownership. Shame asking the money but with little care of maximising it.
