  1. Not that I'm aware, what's different about them?
  2. Haha, give me a pm bud. better typing with a keyboard. And it saves hijacking Dave's thread anymore.
  3. My clutch was only about £150 from local supplier andy page. nothing special but it's never skipped a beat. Obviously not putting the power through it that you will be though. Where is it kev? would he mind if the car was on longer than a day? i.e if the manifold was shot I'd have to source another one. I'm debating taking it to jeff to get done with a few other bits, awaiting a reply to my pm with a quote. A couple of my mechanic mates are more than willing to help but I have fears of snapping a bolt in the block and then been totally ****ed! But as for your clutch Dave it isn't too bad a job from what I remember (obviously a good few hours) aslong as there's a long as **** extension for the top bolts and I think a press to get the baring out then you should be laughing.
  4. Get it done Dave, Don't break it, it's a gorgeous car. You'll regret it come the summer.
  5. Yeah clutch in a day easy dave. If your bringing it to kevs I'm more than willing to lend a hand. Had my box out a few times.
  6. You have access to a four poster kev? I've got a manifold that's blowing.....
  7. I thought it only needed a diff??? can't break that beauty :scared:
  8. Duno yet, just sounds like its blowing.
  9. Yeah mines off the road now until I get this manifold sorted.
  10. Excellent, cheers I'll have a look at getting it sorted. I may forget about the hid's for the time been.
  11. Is this not a good idea? I figured it would be similar to your fog light HID install, but in the indicators. So I can fit the fog light vents. Not sure if it'll fit though, I can't remember how long a HID lamp is. But back to these switchbacks. So if I just find myself the oem lamp holder from the rear for the break lights and side lights and that will fit in the existing indicator slot? and then I just need to wire them up? instead of modding the lugs, could I just leave a little bit of cable on the old bulb holder and the existing lugs and then just insulink the new cables on? the diagram on the eBay add is confusing me a little though.
  12. Sounds like a nice idea. Do you have to drill the indicator housing or does the other lamp holder fit? I should be able to get a pair from a scrappy. have you got any pictures of the modded lugs? I had an idea to put angel eyes in as side lights and then fit another pair of HID's as a fog light but in the indicator housing. But If I could combine the side lights and the indicators on one holder, then there would be a spare way in the housing for the HID fogs. So I wouldn't need the angel eyes.
  13. They look crazy. is that combining your side lights and indicators onto one single lamp holder?
  14. Ok cheers bud. I'll keep that in mind for when I get round to it.
  15. Excellent, Cheers Mark, I'm assuming these aren't hard to come by, not like the problem I had with my exhaust.
  16. But as for mine, If I'm taking off the manifold then I should replace all gaskets?
  17. could the same method not be applied to 89 spec ones?
  18. Is it best to fit all new gaskets and bolts on the turbo's and front pipes when putting it all back together?
  19. They do look nice, are they a custom job? any more info? may want to have a blast at them myself :cool2:
  20. Are they behind the lens? Any pics not illuminated?
  21. Jeff you are my hero.
  22. It was £236.74 to be precise. No surprise import duty, all in to my door. I can't wait either, I had it all sorted for getting it fitted. I'm getting new roof tiles fitted in a few weeks, So I was going to have the car in the body shop while the scaffold was on the drive. I've nearly got my clear indicators tinted, just need to give them a rub down to add a bit of shine. But now my manifold is blowing I don't know what to do. It could end up costing me a fortune to get the manifold fixed and the lip may have to wait till the new year. :crying:
  23. I like them, any closer pics?
  24. Yeah there's always something that ruins your plans
  25. Opened the lip today bud, all is well. Didn't realise how much flex it actually has, It really is a good quality bit of kit. However it won't be getting fitted for a while now due to other problems, but I can't wait till it's finished. Big thanks again though Mike for sorting it all out.
