Ste's on going front bumper quest...
I took it to a place near teesport, he's just started out by himself. Only reason because he owed me some cash for some electrical work. He's done a class job though, it looks awesome, may even be home at the weekend.

Advise from Groover or Phutumsch (or any LED specialist) please....
You got a link? I figured the amber would just flash normally on the relay and the white wouldn't be effected weather side lights were on or not. I maybe confused on how the switchback works, and probably the lamp holder too.

Boost Leak Test....
I meant the little boost hose, looks to be about 4mm.

Will my existing flash relay stop working?

I did strip them down, and even did a little it of drilling, still couldn't find screws.

Boost Leak Test....

I've asked the question and apparently they are 40mm long, so should be swallowed by it. Did you have to install the load resistor on your set or is that just for newer cars?

Thanks guys. I have another set of trim, but it's in a shape, I was going to go for the plasti dip option, I tried to remove the ones on the targas a while ago but I couldn't get them off for the life of me so I think i'll just paint them in situ. The little rear ones are brand spanking though so they can stay there.

Boost Leak Test....
Hopefully doing a boost leak test Thursday, is there a how to guide? I've forgotten how to find the howto section on the site. I remember reading that 5psi is enough to find leaks, but am I able to use the gauge in the car, or do I need another? and should I put my ignition on for the boost controller or does that not make a difference? Any other tips and advice is welcome as always.

I nipped in to see the car again last night, and it has been painted and polished, still had the bumpers to do though. I'm going on Thursday night hopefully to do a boost leak test and to put a few bits on so that they can be polished, and hopefully finish it off at the weekend. only took a couple of pics, I was too busy talking. But I can't seem to upload them (guessing because I still need to re-sub) and photobucket is being remedial. hopefully get them up later.- Advise from Groover or Phutumsch (or any LED specialist) please....
I never thought of length, I'll have to look into that.- Advise from Groover or Phutumsch (or any LED specialist) please....
any particular reason why you went with those ones over others though? The amber L.E.D's do look different on the cheaper ones, but the colour looks the same I think. With my indicators been so heavily tinted a figured brightness should be a priority.- My little stereo downgrade and subsiquent upgrade! (Ongoing)
It is definitely the same quality discreet workmanship we've come to know and love from you Si, and as always your attention to detail is spot on. I've got a similar setup in my air vents, although no where near as neat as yours, infact I think most of my wires are taped, as an electrician it is shameful. But my friends always said mechanics cars are normally in the worst state, so seemed only fitting my wiring should be atrocious.- Advise from Groover or Phutumsch (or any LED specialist) please....
I've managed to get some lamp holders, just need to buy the lamps now, and try and bodge them in. Looking through ebay, I've come across these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2X-BAY15D-120-SMD-1157-Dual-Color-Switchback-Car-LED-Turn-Signal-Lights-Brake-/161214788562?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item25892673d2 They're a bit cheaper than the other ones, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1157-Dual-Color-LED-Switchback-Turn-Signal-Lights-2357-White-Amber-Yellow-/280956185915?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item416a4b2d3b And look to have more L.E.D's too, can anyone see any reason why these won't work?- Ste's on going front bumper quest...
Yeah, he said he ground it back, then cut out up to good metal, welded a plate in and the smoothed it all out with some kind of filler. I haven't seen it in the flesh yet or spoke to Dean face to face yet, hopefully going to get chance to nip in tomorrow. That's the bad side, photo's aren't great though, it's a bit close to the wall.- Ste's on going front bumper quest...
All in good time Si...- Ste's on going front bumper quest...
and more... They're obviously not in order. It's hopefully going into paint next week, but I'm in Holland next weekend  So it'll be another two weeks before I can make a start rebuilding. The weather is so nice today, I haven't driven it for weeks, really missing it. :(- Ste's on going front bumper quest...

I'll have to get the seat out and have a look, I was hoping to have the footwell's on with the door closed too though.- Meet Sunday 16th February
Full shoot Kev, the sprayer owes me a few favours so thought it would be better to just do the full car, had some rust to sort, should be gleaming when it's finished, can't wait for the summer!- Illuminated sill refurb...
They do look nice. as far as the wiring goes, is it an :asshole: running a cable to the door switch? and where did you take the voltage from? I have an idea of putting my footwell led's also off the door switch, am IU right in thinking I could also run them from my existing switch too, like an either or type of circuit due to it been the neutral that's switched? - Ste's on going front bumper quest...
