Do I? Don't i?
You'll have to get some pictures up when you get it . looks like you got a bargain. I was tempted to bid myself just for the bumper and the rear Perspex strip. (If either of which you do decide to sell I'll give you a good price :whistling:) But I'm supposed to be fixing mine, can't go buying another.

Leaking EGR? and leaky rocker cover.
Yeah true. But how about a bodge for me to drive it to Jeff's? Or will it be OK just leaking for a 3 hour drive?

EGR....... Delete or replace?
What's the Aiv and prv?

Leaking EGR? and leaky rocker cover.
Yeah I want to. But I don't really want to take the plenum off on my drive in the middle of winter. So I was thinking just a bodge till I can get it to Jeff. I had this whole idea that when the plenum came off it'd be going back on all shiny with some uprated coil packs and bigger injectors. ideally in a garage where I could take my time. But I can't afford all that yet.

Leaking EGR? and leaky rocker cover.
Is it such a terrible idea to try and bodge this for the time been? I'm thinking exhaust putty and some sort of amalgamating tape that will take the heat? Obviously not a permanent fix, but a temporary measure. Or would this cause even more problems?

Picture request
I've got the millennium one two, although not a nice red one like Gary. It is a really nice wheel though. I also have a momo race, lying around somewhere same as Lexx's. could be yours for a very reasonable price :whistling:

Ste's on going front bumper quest...
Thanks guys. Gloss black is what I was thinking, a real nice shiny one on the roof bars and on the moustache. It should finish off the external nicely, then just the stance to sort (but that's for another day) But as far as fitting the fog ducts, do I need to drill a hole behind them to get the air flow or is there something else to remove?

Leaking EGR? and leaky rocker cover.
That's what my mate said, it'll be the flared end corroded. Where is the other end? and what are the benefits of deleting?

Ste's on going front bumper quest...
Yeah I thought this, but you can see the checker through the tint, where as with these been crystal clears they should look smooth, and hopefully about the same black as what the moustache will be going.

Leaking EGR? and leaky rocker cover.
After having a look under the car and getting the battery out I have determined the source of the leak, and thankfully it's not the manifold. It appears that the leak is from the pipe union. I managed to remove the battery then connect it up with some jump leads and run it. couldn't really see much coming out of it, but I could get my hand in and feel it. The pipe was black around the leak which was a big giveaway too. So what is the best way to remedy this, and how much has to come apart in the process. Is there any preventative maintenance or even upgrades which would make sense to get done at the same time? There is a video I took, but vimeo is taking the piss uploading it, shouldn't too much longer. didn't realise how crap it was though until I'd put the battery back in. Also noticed from underneath there is a bit of an oil leak, doesn't look too bad, it's probably had it for a year or so. My mates seamed to think it was from the rocker cover. How hard is this to change, and same again, is there anything you would recommended doing at the same time? Thanks in advance

Ste's on going front bumper quest...
Yeah I should of done really, but with it been dark I figured they'd have to be close up to even notice. No need for the fog lights though, they're coming out. got some ducts of Dave to go in. And these just need a wet'n'dry rub down they should be about done

Ste's on going front bumper quest...
Had a little bit of sunshine today, so couldn't resist a test fit. It's a tight fit, don't think it would even need screwing, but i'll let the body shop sort that out. Looks a good whack higher at the front now, which means I can drop it a little more too

My New Exhaust...
Yeah they have sorted it out, I'm thinking they don't get a lot of people ordering them. I should of known really, I checked the VeilSide website first and they show the 'fortune favours the brave' one and another smaller Veilside emblem on their site. And I initially contacted them about it, but they didn't even reply. And then I found the AutoStyleUSA site, When we were sorting out the order he was saying they would be coming from VeilSide I should of thought it'll be the picture on their website. But anyway at least we've got something and remember 'you and your friends may be one of the very few owners, who has this new emblem in the UK?!' I replied explaining where the photo's came from etc and they sent me this reply Hi Steven, Thank you for your reply. We will report to VeilSide that the original source of seller is untraceable. (used parts from Japan) We are so sorry for the mishaps on this transaction. We hope your next order will go much smoother. Sincerely, But then they sent me another reply claiming that Si's is in fact a counterfeit, and it must be removed immediately and posted to myself so that I can send in for inspection.... honest :innocent: :whistling:

My New Exhaust...
Yeah I don't think it'll be fake. The bloke at veilside won't understand how old it is.

My New Exhaust...
Ok I did get a reply, more than one actually, and here is the first. Hi Steven, We are very sorry, that you have encountered this problem. I have relayed your message with photos to VeilSide, for investigation. Our purchasing manager has received VeilSide's official statement for this issue over the phone. So here it is. ***************************************************** 1) The old VeilSide Evolution emblem has been in use for many years in the past. But our logos has been copied, and pirated by many overseas unauthorized illegal manufacturers. 2) We have recently been able to get rid of remaining old emblem(without the copyright mark) earlier 2013, and been able to start supplying the new 2013 emblem from this year. 3) Our old Evolution emblem dimension was 25mm X 60mm, and our website indicated the same dimension for the new emblem by mistake. The actual dimension of the new emblem is 25mm X 69mm. 4) Unfortunately, the old Evolution emblem(without the copyright mark) is no longer available, and we can not supply them any longer. 5) We are very sorry for this mishaps, but we sincerely hope that you will accept this legitimate, and genuine true VeilSide new emblem, and hope that you and your friends will appreciate this new item from VeilSide. Who knows, you and your friends may be one of the very few owners, who has this new emblem in the UK?! ***************************************************** We are very sorry for this mishaps. The main cause of this mishaps were mis-information from VeilSide. We have changed the photo in our website, and re-edited the details of this item. At this time, we have to ask you to understand the situation, and hope that you and your friends would accept this new emblem from VeilSide. If you require further assistance, please let us know. Once again, we are so sorry, for this mishaps. Sincerely, ******************************** Andy Utsumi Customer Service AutoStyle e-mail: support@auto-style.jp ******************************** And then 10 minutes later they sent this one. Hi Steven, Forgot one thing. When we sent your muffler photos to VeilSide, the person in charge mentioned that he would like to know where did you purchased that muffler, and the old emblem. Do you happen to remember or have any information of the distributor, or the name of the dealer in UK, or whatever store you purchased through? Apparently, the VeilSide representative noticed your old emblem to be quite different from what they have in their current record. The space between the lettr (V) and the (e) seems to be further apart, and VeilSide's current personnel has not seen that. (may be he is new to a company???) There may be a possibility that the emblem is very old and VeilSide do not have the old record. But there is also a possibility that it is the pirated version. And that is why VeilSide wishes to know, where you purchased that muffler, and that old emblem. Copyrights infringement seems to be a big issue for VeilSide, and they are considering to make investigation. Perhaps you can help them. Regards, ******************************** Andy Utsumi Customer Service AutoStyle e-mail: support@auto-style.jp ******************************** Something tells me that they don't know this is a 20 year old system. I'll send a reply anyway explaining the crack. but basically we're not guna get the old ones, thought it was a little too good to be true. Oh wells.

My New Exhaust...
Glad you got them ok Mandy  I've finally managed to send them an email explaining the mix up. Hopefully I will have a reply by the time I wake up tomorrow. I attached your photo's Lee so they can clearly see the mix up. Not too sure where we stand though as far as rights. I'm expecting that their response will either be that "Veilside don't make the evolution ones no more and that is their replacement, and if you want a refund you'll have to post them back" By that time the price of postage (which I'm assuming they won't be willing to refund) and of course the VAT will out way the value of the emblems or at least be very close, so it would probably be pointless. And the alternative I think will probably be that they do have the right ones but will once again want the wrong ones returning at our cost and then there'll be the VAT to pay again on the new ones. So it'll probably add another £60-£70 on top, which once again may be a little pointless. But **** it you never know they may surprise me. Fingers crossed

My New Exhaust...
Yeah go on then bud, I'll send them an email, see if I can get some sort of compensation. They'll probably tell me where to go though.

My New Exhaust...
Yeah, even the photo on the site shows them having evolution across the bottom. The Cheeky *******s eh

My New Exhaust...
I didn't even notice, I assumed the evolution was only on the gold label. I've forgotten what the original advert showed now. I'll have a look when I get on a computer. Are the sizes at least the same Lee? I did think they were longer than I expected. The next task though is how the hell do we stick them on?
