z mpg vs xxx as a commuter
They did do a 2.0 from 01-05, was the 115bhp or the 130bhp. And they are cheap now, such as: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2002-52-FORD-MONDEO-2-0-TDCI-GHIA-130-Diesel-Saloon-/360761303108

Yeah mondeo's are tanks! Probably the 01- 05 is it? They are cheap to buy and run for ages... 2 litre chain driven engine, dura torque?

z mpg vs xxx as a commuter
I found after only 4 months of commuting my zed become so run down, I now have a clio 182 cup sport for my commute and i get 40mpg, but after a year and 20k miles it's also looking tired. But I'd get another clio as for what it is it's fast and 40mpg isn't bad at all... And they are cheap.

Anyone with 11j rears?
And just under 2cm closer to the shock.. Hmm it does sound very close I'm pretty sure someone had has this wide a wheel on, and with a decent offset like that you maybe lucky, I bet they would look awesome!
-
Anyone with 11j rears?
I'm looking for 10.5x19 on the rear with a +35 offset and I thought I was quite close and that's with arches rolled and pulled. However if you can get them on I'm going for 11j!

fitting engine
Lol it's still well under the 1 tonne most hoists are rated to. Obviously it's personal preference. I split them when taking them out which is why I'd rather them go in together this time around. Plenty of patience and more than one set of eyes, what can go wrong :D
-
fitting engine
I'll be putting it in with the box on the engine. My hoist can take a tonne, and last time I checked the box and engine dry weight is about 280kg. If the hoist can't take that weight I'd be reluctant to put just my engine on it and look for a new hoist as if it fails you'll have more than battle scars. Patience and a friend is what I'm using.

Crapping myself!! :(

weird engine bay
Most people use filler in the engine bays without it cracking, it has more than likely been seam welded to prevent this happening.
