  1. Right then! This Sunday! Any more peeps????????
  2. speak to Mike at MJP Eastern Auto 01277 374201. He has the Jap parts numbers and will be able to order the correct one for you.
  3. Well who gives a toss whether its aTT or an Na. None of you are actually going to bid are you?? Dont you have better things to do?? Anyway its not an auction at all cos he's gonna take it off it it doesnt make what he wants. :xxx:
  4. Simple way to find out. Ask him the question thru ebay... job done.
  5. Have you done the test for exhaust gases in the coolant. If they are present then there is only one concluion to come to.
  6. Just make one phone call to Mike Feeny At MJP Eastern Auto. Quote the numbers to him. Next thing they will be on their way to you. Provided Nissan can supply them. 01277 374201. Full details in Traders section
  7. Hoi!! Tweaky n Boldy. this is a meet thread not a chat room!! :slap:
  8. Depends what its made of and what has already been done to it. Ie what sort of primer has been used and how long ago was it done. Old primer will need redoing, the wrong primer will need removing and re doing. Depends too on whether its a simple plain colour like red, white or yellow or whether its a basecoat metallic and lacquer job. depends on the Quality of the paint. Better quality = more money. Nothing wrong with cheap n cheerful Autopaint but PPG or Standox is loads more money and depends on the quality of the final finish too. Is it a stock colour or is more work needed to match it in to an existing faded colour. Its like asking how long is a piece of string really. Im having one done at trade price soon Stock Urethane front in metallic black. £150 all in subject to no extra prep being required. But down south prices are going to be higher.
  9. Speak to Mike Feeney(or MrF as he is referred to) before you fly in. He is only 20 miles away. Its not a shop, more of an Alladins cave. LOL. But he may need to order some suff in for you. You will find all his details in the Traders Section. MJP Eastern Auto
  10. Just post it up then. most of the other times are in the Members section of the forum. We Na owners use our own NA forum and others use the TT bit.
  11. Just looked at your engine spec. Thats about where Im heading next. Except not so wild on cams. American tracks "seem" to be quicker in general not sure why.Its not an excuse for poor times but the main track(there are only 3 that I can get to in the whole country!!) does have a slight uphill gradient according to Google earth statss. Its only a few feet but it is there. There is a track in Scotland that has a definite downhill run so that always gives quick results. So what is your best pink slip so far then? And it does count for me. Im always keen to see what other NA people are doing in any country. Im thinking a sub 14 should be on next season for me.
  12. As far as V8 cars are concerned Gavin Balmer was the quickest in this country. His 11.38sec quarter at 121.79 Mph is still the best unless anyone has a pink slip saying different. Sadly Gavin is no longer with us. If you are looking at independently verified speeds as oposed to "bragging rights" then Chunks 172mph at Brutingthorpe in 2005 is the fastest top speed I have seen recorded in a TT. As already said I believe Jaffa's 12.5 sec quarter is the best available although SRae gave a good showing on road tyres at 12.9 I think??? i will lay claim to the fastest NA class with a best quarter at Santa Pod of 14.57mph and I am in J Tuner with a 134mph top speed run at Bruntingthorpe this year. nobody with a Zed has had the balls or the skills to enter Ten of the Best, probably because they would be severly embarrassed by all the current TOTB top 10 cars!!! And none of the current crop of supposedly quick TTs has run any quarters or any lap times anywhere.
  13. He seems to have enough time to list parts on e-bay :slap:
  14. LOL No mate. Basicaly collected up all the aluminium stuff I had lying around, damaged bonnets, bits of gearboxes, rads, some early Zed rocker covers, wheels etc. Ally is fetching around 65p a kilo at the mo. Chucked it all on the scales at the waste metal yard. 75KG! So walked in to the office and picked up £50 in folding stuff. :D :nana2: I wont be scrapping my car, although it will be looking for a new owner soon as my 2007 project car gathers pace. And mine is straight and running!!!
  15. Woohoo!, £50 for a load a scrap!! :nana2: :nana2: Think I might have a few :duffer: :duffer: :duffer: tonight. Dont ya just love it when a plan comes together. :D :D :D
  16. Right then guys n gals numbers are creeping up but there are loads more midlands members!! Where are you??
  17. As is mine. No need for any balance pipes.
  18. Add your name to the list folks! 1, Heather 2, Si Morgan 3, Boldy 4, Edk83 5, Tweaky 6, Bantambunny 7, Slick Pete.
  19. To satisfy the almost insatiable demand for good s/h parts.
  20. Ahem!! You called??? TBH i've never driven a 2+2 so I have no idea what the difference is. The only thing I do with 2+2s is cut them up for spares for my slicktops. im not interested in any sort of 2+2 sports type car and personally I hate the Targa concept with a vengance. i just see the Slicktop as a modern version of my 240Z. soon 350Z prices will be coming below £10K and I will then be looking to add one of these to my collection. That will complete my "perfect garage". 240Z - 300ZX Slicktop - 350Z. But we are all different in our perceptions and needs. So enjoy yer Z whatever sort it is!
  21. NA and TT props ARE different. As is the centre bearing. everything on the drive train wear out. its just the order of failure that varies. Centre carrier, shaft UJs etc.
  22. I got mine from Mike at MJP Eastern auto in the Traders section.
  23. Wot Greg says. Just undo the whole bracket and then work on the bench for the rest of the job. just done a pair yesterday like that. Dead easy. Off in 10 mins.
