Mapperley Plains. Nottingham. NG3 5RT This is a popular pub for lunch so we need to be there for 12.00 when it opens to get inside and get tables. So get yer names down for the first meet of 2007. 1. 2. No need to apologize mate! I woz having a laugh really :p I was first on the Rollers as soon as the guy got set up, so not many saw the run.I was well chuffed with it and the operator did remark what a nice smooth graph. Ceejay didnt make the power he was expecting. I dont remember what his figure was.H owever he did have some "fuel ratio issues" as highlighted by the operator. :wack:
  3. Yeh the seats and wheels were fitted by Nissan. you are looking at a Version S Recaro.
  4. It was ceejay, but the awesome powerful engine went bang! :wack: i take it that you werent impressed with my scruffy red slicktop NA that made 242 at the fly??  Oh well never mind I like it
  5. Oh well never mind, there are more out there especially UK ones quietly rusting away from the inside, where you cant see it till its too late. I take it you were going to break it? Its not strictly true to say you "lost" by £40. You stopped bidding(sensible ) someone else just carried on. there is no way of actually knowing how high someone else would have gone.
  6. Wot!!! you dont want me to bid then???
  7. wheels and gearbox got tho be worth the best part of a grand by themselves.
  8. helps get a better weight distrbution. One of the many little details taken in to consideration when designing the 2 seater.
  9. You have email spongey. Pics when washed and ready! :) Only up the M1 at Nottingham too!
  10. If you are daft enough to pay £2500 for an interior then I will wait a couple of months! Try reading the post properly next time eh?
  11. Oh there is no IF about it!! Its for sale. Just got to cut back the laquer on the tailgate and finish offf a couple of other minor jobs. I will put up a for sale once its ready to drive away. I expect to be ready early next week. Everyone thinks that winter is the wrong time to sell cars, well it is to some extent BUT the period round Xmas and new year always sees a flurry of interest and sales. Just make sure you have the cash waiting. LOL :)
  12. Check out the NA tuning forum Quite afew posts on there about NA tuning, strangely enough!
  13. thats not for anyone else to say mate. But with a little hindsight now that does look overpriced. Compare it to the UK TTauto that is for sale on Z Club.net at the moment. £3000. Its white and owned by MickeyB from Z worx. But having a well known former owner(IMO) does nothing for the value of a car.
  14. LOL!!! No its £2500! that the price TT auto J spec Black Pearl Black leather 92 J reg. 12 months MOT.66000 miles (in KMs) with old MOTs to verify. original purchase invoice from the importer at 34000 miles for £8400  New turbos 5000 miles ago(receipt avail to prove) Just been to Zworx for Two new O2 sensors and prop bearing change. Mickey has also done oil n filter and checked all other fluids. i have no idea how an auto box should work but Mickey tells me its spot on. ive just finished doing the spoiler removal- new perspex smooth look. Basically ready next week and ready to drive away(currently on a SORN!) All the "usual" faults have been fixed. Ill put a "for sale " ad up next week. if someone buys it for £2500 ill be satisfied. If they can sell it on for more... good luck to them. It probably is worth a little more, but I just want to move it on.
  15. thats good news as Im going to advertize one next week there, I think. :) I might try the Midlands free to advertize "Ad-Mag" first tho. Its a black TTauto 92 reg J Spec with black leather interior. Thought it should be worth £2500.
  16. probably does have traction control.... they all do. its just that we refer to it as a limited slip differential
  17. You need 235/40-18 fronts and 265/35-18 rears, and as already said 8.5 fronts and 10" rears is the very best combo. those sizes will be expensive, but the best always is. many peeps go for a cheaper /smaller compromise. 8"s /9"s. Up to everyone to make their own choice.
  18. Yep. Max Meyer HS Laquer. PPG is even better but LOADSA money. ive just watched my fitter mount two 265/35-18 tyres on freash laquered rims. Not a mark!. Top man he is with a state of the art 3 arm fitter.
  19. Just polish them and then laquer them. Job done. ive just finshed doing a set. In this winter weather they will corrode untreated unless you clean them constantly.
  20. tedious in the extreme. Nissan have been using a basically similar way of constructing shells right from the 240Z thru the 260/280 and Z31 300. Its never obvious from the outside how complex the construction actually is. I have seen 240Zs where nothing was actually left to work to. All the layers had disintigrated. IMO 280Xzs were probably the worst. Some rotting to the point where the rear suspension was not attached any longer to the shell. Having over the years dismantled well over 20 assorted Zeds(including 4 Z32s) I have gained a fair understanding of how they are constructed and how they self destruct!
  21. Yep... Starting from the outside, there is the rear quarter or sill closer . Next in is the hidden part of the sill. Next in again is the middle reinforcement panel. The last two of course are invisible till you open up the rear panel. And finally there is the inner sill. This is the one you see one side of inside the car and is the one that houses the captive nut for the seatbelt bolt. Even J spec cars are now rotting thru the outer panels. Mike at MJP has outer repair sections available and arch repairs too IIRC. But however you do it there will be some fabrication required.
  22. If its a UK car it most certainly will be rusting away from the inside. Removing the trim beide the rear seats will allow you to look in to the sill arch area. Removing the rear turret trim will give limited access to the inner arch area. Repairing damage in this area is tedious. Remember at the rear of the sill there are four separate layers of metal .
  23. AG2 red does indeed have a clear coat from Nissan. Mine is peeling in places. Reds are notorious for fading/oxidising and I guess this was Nissans attempt to help cure the problem?
