  1. you wouldnt be connected with the ebay seller by any chance, would you??  Cos I couldnt imagine any other reason for this being your first ever post on the forum??????? :wack:
  2. Speak to MickyB at Zworx. He is currently developing a Brembo Caliper and Brembo disc upgrade that will out perform the R33 set up. 18" wheels will be needed tho.
  3. no mate I havent. Basically a thin flat alloy sheet screwed in to existing screw holes. It had a series of 2" circles cut out across the top to let the air pass. Just sprayed it satin black. what you need to bear in mind tho is that my slicktop is all "stripped out" to save weight. It didnt look particularly impressive, but it looked better than having a huge hole there.
  4. Glad my engine crane is working well.
  5. Well just so. I have an ally panel in place of the consol panel.
  6. Dave Im going to be selling not buying! but thanks anyway! LOL. Just want to arrive at a fair price for a s/h set, without overcharging.
  7. Does anyone know how much the little screw covers that go at the top of the radio consol are to buy new? Also how much the strip is that covers the other screws??
  8. My Azevs are 10" on the rear. No mods.
  9. Would be better to use 2K primer. Sticks like s$it to a blanket.
  10. Is it a stock Nissan panel or a cheapo fiberglass job?? Is it new or got existing paint on it?? Have you completely flatted it to a mat surface all over with 400 of finer??
  11. Cheers Dave. I might do. Just had an interesting PM from a member. Might be sorted??
  12. Hmm exactly. The problem was I didnt own the car when it failed first time. So I had little idea what had ben done. The previous owner was kind enough to give me the fail sheet with the car. It was up to me whether I broke the car or fixed it. I paid the owner his asking and took it away. MOT man was NOT going to own up to the mistake. He just blamed the DVLA Computer. (yeah right! ) I just paid the £20 retest and left with the ticket. Thats all I wanted. Micky will do the o2 sensors anyway. So not really any time or money wasted. And it has been an entertaining thread
  13. Cheers Taff, No good asking Nissan, but Ill ask our own Nissan man. Mr F. But even if Nissan do it Im guessing it will be thousands of Yen. Anyone else know a bit more???
  14. I have just acquired a light up rear panel.... that doesnt! LOL Simple enough reason for that is .. no inverter box thing!! the two wires coming from behind the panel are just taped up. Grrrr! does anyone know where to get one, how to make one etc??? Or even have one for sale??? Any help /info appreciated. I have no idea on this one. Help!!! Maybe one of you lot has nicked it ????
  15. SPOT ON! Went back this morning as it was last day for retest. I had already noticed on the Fail sheet that he had the car down as Dec 92. Showed him the log book which just says 92 with no month. Than I pointed out that the DVLA had issued a J plate indicating a late 91 early 92 manufacture date. Mr F. at MJP confirmed the model/chassis numbers as late 91. He had done a "cat " test before and tried to tell me that the DVLA computer told him to do it. I politely asked him to enter the reg again and it came up as a 91 to Jul 92 vehicle!!!! So 1.5% CO was well within the 3.5% limit. So he mumbled something... went into the office ... and re appeared with the MOT saying the DVLA Computer had accepted it! Whatever. I put the fee in his hand , grabbed the ticket and headed for the door. YAHOOO! I got a ticket to ride! Now its just got to go down to Z Worx so Mickey can breathe a little magic on it and fix a couple of little niggles and then I can look for a new owner for it. Well I wouldnt want to be seen riding round in a four seat family saloon with windows where the roof should be :nono: Not only that... somebody has nicked the clutch pedal  thanks to Ossian, Mike at MJP and everyone else who has helped on this one. ;) Dont ya just love it when a plan comes together??? Wanna buy it???? :)
  16. What GIO says. Will tailor the job to your budget. Also pop over to Z club.net and send a PM to Moggy 240. He works for a top spray company in s****horpe. Im guessing they are not cheap, but I have seen some of their work . awesome.
  17. Got the answer today thanks to MickeyB at Zworx.and his ConZult...... Both O2 sensors are ded!! Fortunately it has SS Divorced down pipes so changing the sensors shouldnt be too bad.... MICKEY!!!!!!!! Where are you???????????   HELP!!!!!!!!
  18. I have HID lights fitted. One of the best mods on a Zed. I also have "chrome inserts". As Legrath says they are about the look and dont improve the light output. I think they suit my red car, but I tend to agree that on a lighter coloured car it doesnt make much difference. I also have a s/h pair of HIDs for sale. They are the same as the ones on my car. "Roxie Heart" make. These were sold on this forum by a Trader now departed. Outlander. Im guessing since I have had mine for 2 years that the ones I am selling are that sort of age too.
  19. Depends how wide the wheels are. ;)
  20. 92 on a J. I only have the fail cert VT30 to work on. Thanks for the advice I wasnt going to use the car without doing a full check(Conzult) But I was keen to get a ticket this week on it.
  21. pete,do what i done for a big drop in emisions after the reading was high, before you take it in go for a fast hard drive to get the cats upto working temp when in the station take the small vac pipe off the balance bar and let the engine ingest more air, (it works believe me). Had the same probs myself till i did this
  22. Sorry I had to leave early guys. But needed to go n look at a motor. Shall we go another time in the new year to the Pullman and book the Railway Carriage bit all to ourselves????
  23. cheers Gaz. That pipe mod should do the trick I think. :) Now best get the mig out and weld that Zorst. And the sill too!
  24. I havent got much info... but here 's what there is Refusal of an MOT test Cert VT30. Item on list 002..Exhaust emissions carbon monoxide content after 2nd fast idle excessive (7.3.2b) 005 Exhaust system has a major leak of exhaust gases. (7.1.2a) Sooooooooo! I know how to fix the exhaust hole. LOL BUT is it affecting the emissions??? What else might cause the high CO content?? Whats 2nd fast idle BTW??? HELP! Got 7 days to get this and other bits done and in for a hopefully PASS Retest. 92 J spec TT auto BTW . Big cone airfilter, decats and large bore Zorst. AFAIK Stock engine. Good turbos- no visible smoke
  25. the danger here is that you will be using the threaded part to locate which is undersize, rather than the smooth shank. Easiest option is to get the threaded part turned down shorter.
