  1. Welcome to the club. :) And welcome to a small select sub section of the club too.!  Short, slick and red. Hmmm VERY NICE! You will need to try harder next time David
  2. As far as Im concerned its all plastic. I have to sit on vinyl seats in my 240Z cos they are correct for the period (early 70s). But in summer you need a towel to sit as they dont breathe like leather. I wouldnt fit these covers or any other type of synthetic stuff in my 300ZX if they were free. JUst IMO of course. Not in any way a comment on the seller.
  3. Biased??? Not at all. :nono: if youve got it then flaunt it. ;) The ultimate in cool Retro Look. :nana2:
  4. I could paint it a different colour! ;) But Red is the fastest colour ya know . I have the Drag Challenge Trophy to prove it. ;) No matter wot you do with a 2+2 LWB Targa a slicktop will just appear and blow you away
  5. What you REALLY need Jimi is a nice RED SLICKTOP ;) , then put all yer goodies on that!!
  6. just break it. Make the easy money. Its simple and less hassle everyone will say .. NO No .... do it up...... but when it comes to selling it they will all want it for £2000. And its a mingin colour anyway. Has it got that awful blue interior too.
  7. Yep I thought you went off a bit sudden!!! LOL!!! Nice to talk mate.
  8. There are couple of points to bear in mind as a newbie looking to buy. The first one is that 300ZXs in general are rare cars so not loads for sale at any one time in comparison with more common Jap stuff. Secondly its not wrong of course to have personal preferences, we all do, but it does restrict your choice further. You perhaps need to go and look at a couple of any colour in your price range to see what sort of car you would be getting. i know you were interested in the Black/Leather TT I had for sale, but you were the third person to express a serious interest. I was only going to deal with viewings one at a time and the first person to see bought. I also have a further useful buying tip, but its only for your ears not everyones eyes , so if you wanna chat then call me. 01773 761238 or 07778 411568 Take your time , you will get there. Pete
  9. LOL!! Smithy yer not supposed to see this thread, :o cos yer gonna put a "black mark" beside my name now. :x: :D :D :D :D :D
  10. Good lad!! BTW I have some "noid lights " on the way now. £13 :nana2: including delivery from a different seller but same make. also saw some at £24 for the same set. Thanks for the heads up on that

  12. Dont wish to sound ungrateful for your suggestion but I want to do my own thing. Thanks.
  13. Well AndyP has already fitted them and yes is the answer. Andy helped me with the deal to get them
  14. Anyone know offhand what diameter internally, the flexible engine bay fuel lines are?? Is it 8mm?? Need to get some Braided stainless stuff organized.
  15. Well I have just bought a pair of 350Z Brembos and discs. s/h plus some new pads from Smithy. Just need to ream out the lugs on the hub from 12 to 14 MM and bolt them on..
  16. Errr! Its a bit more involved than "dipping " in chrome! :smash: LOL Anything that has been "chromed" and then damaged will need to be "de-chromed" first, then repaired, then "re-chromed" Chroming and de chroming are both electric current driven processes . Something a complex as a wheel will be very expensive to do indeed. Cheapest option would be to have the marks linished out and just polish the underlying aluminium, then locally lacquer the repair. It wont be perfect but it will be cheaper. Look at my "BRMMM Tshhhhh" thread and you will see just how shiny you can get ally or that for sale ad of Jaffas with the plenum.
  17. Right Then! jobs all done now. Just up to Ed now to hand finish anything he wants. Hope he likes it. :x: If he doesnt come to colllect and pay up tomorrow then I'll put them up for sale on Sat
  18. They are off EDK83's moter. I'll leave him to tell ya about them. i need a bath now cos Im all grey aluminium colour!!
  19. I didnt make anything. I was just the polisher. :( they are both done now apart from a final mop over with fine compound tomorrow.
  20. Got my little parcel back in the post. If you want to change the locks let me know. Or if you need anything for that window. Thanks Pete
  21. Before removing plug, just blow some compressed air down the hole to remove any Sh*t down there. If there is and you dont remove it first then it will drop into the engine after the plug is removed.
  22. You reckon???  OK I will just explain how to take the Zed to bits and re weld it together again
  23. hopefully the new car will be built before the end of the year. thanks for the heads up on the trip to Watnall . I guess it will all be in the "information pack" they are sending me.
  24. LOL!!!!!!!! :smash: :smash: Nick gimme a call and ill explain how it all goes together!
  25. Yesterday I just shelled out a new MOT fee for my Slicktop. thats one step nearer to being sold now. Next step was to get in touch with DVLA to get a V778/1 retention form so that I can keep my "JIB ..." plate. And the price?????? £105! :headvswal Thats £105 to be paid to a government agency so I can keep something that I have already bought and paid for. Robbing Barstewards. :smash: Rant over.
