  1. Have you actually tested every coil pack -plug combo to SEE a spark?? And heard every injector "clicking"????
  2. Well here is a very small bit of progress.just modded these today....... see pic. i also spent most of the day cleaning the engine bay! How interesting....not. Later I went down to the motor factors and returned with a couple of spray out samples of the main colour... need to see how they look before spraying the engine bay!  Might be altering the shade a little!!!
  3. No No. :nono: Read this bit and wait for alan to let us know what she has to say. This complaint has gone all thru the Toby Inns system. The Area manager is involved and the Manageress at the Stonebridge site has been severely reprimanded. she will no doubt apologise personally to Alan who is representing the club in this matter. Lets wait for the apology. I sense a massive victory is upon us. Thanks to Alan  Might be scope for a "group discount" IF we go again??? LOL :duffer: :duffer: :D :D :D
  4. But an Essex address is usually a good clue! :nelson: :D :D :D
  5. I will be there but probably in my 240Z, unless that sells before the meet. :D We will be very welcome here as the club is well known to the pub owners already. ;) 1. Skyline Dave. 2. Slick Pete,
  6. Im fitting mine using fabricated side mounts that bolt in the threaded lugs of the Koyo. its not an original idea. I borrowed it off Manta V8 and Keith5700. :o I am then looking at making a custom built smooth top cover possibly in polished ally. :D i know I shouldnt really as I dont do Bling :slap: :nono: but the brackets are finished in satin black dont worry!!!
  7. Ive got one too!!! just not fitted in the car yet!! :o Neither is the gearbox.... engine etc..... :nono:
  8. TBH I thought your car always had a short little shifter in it! :D :D :D :D :D
  9. Wot he said. LOL :slap: a "wanted ad on here would have produced BOTH ITEMs for £70. Or just one phone call to AndyZ or David at Ricerocket and you would have had them delivered in a couple of days. Unbelievable!
  10. What for??? working on the front tension rods wont alter the rear alignment!
  11. :slap: Best get that NA subframe and diff from me then and get rid of ALL the HICAS instantly. Not to mention better 1/4 mile times. :hyper: Free delivery to Z Worx included :D
  12. Six actually if you fit adjustable top arms and tension rods. Tracking two ends. Camber two top links Castor two tension rods. Just go and see them and get a proper quote.I dont think they will want £150 for the front end. If they do .... find somewhere else.Dont get sucked in to this world of pseudo technology. People were setting tracking, camber and castor angles quite successfully pre laser era. Nothing at all wrong with manual mirror and lens tracking devices provided they are used correctly. When fitting the tension rods just wind them to the approx same length as the old ones. Similar with the top arms. POP really!
  13. I quite agree. IF IT WAS APPEARING ON PIMP MY RIDE!   However the real reason for 17" is the fact that the Mickey Thompson ET Street radial I use is a 17" fitment. ;) ;)
  14. LOl I do too............. but not in gold!!!! :nono: Bit too "Essex" for me
  15. Got the back down on the deck now. :nana2: First pic shows my custom made braided brake lines. designed to get rid of one of Nissans awful clip locators. Its been replaced with a "bolt thru " male end joining a female threaded nut on the revised hard brake line.Fronts are done the same way. Its cheaper and its better.IMO Other pics show the 350Z brake set up installed and just behind it is the AGX adj/Eibach suspension strut and shiny new adjustable top arms. i just need to get some lower adjustable tension rods from 2 Fast-2 Cool on flea bay. Clearance between wheel and caliper is around 1mm!! Just goes to illustrate the perils of adapting "other fitment" wheels to the 300ZX. But they were VERY cheap and came with the proper "bolt-on hub adaptors and nearly new tyres. ;) I would like however to point out that the "gold " is NOT part of the final colur scheme. :nono: ill leave the gold rim look to the medallion men on the forum :D

Well just so! Maybe we might get banned from ALL TOBY INNS

Well thats just not correct. Last time we went to the Boat some mouthy assistant came out and asked us what we were doing. scrawni had the video camera out and the mouthy git said... "have you got permission to film here???" So we havent been back there again. the situation at Stenson Bubble is entirely unique. Its an agreed monthly meet for several Jap car clubs. Its not really anything directly to do with Midlands group of 300ZX co.uk. If you read this quote from toby inns team you can see that there is no obligation to "call in advance". They supposedly "welcome" groups of friends. Maybe in future we will call in advance just to make sure. The great pity about this incident is the fact that this particular Toby carvery really is in a brilliant location for meets, just off the motorways and accessable from the whole Midlands area and further afield too.
  18. Good idea mate, but last year there was an invite to one in Derby at Top boss Tuning. No minimum numbers needed just turn up. IIRC it was £40 or less. Guess how many turned up?????? Ceejay and me. And I wont have my car built by then this year

No we havent. the pubs we use are all open to the public.... We are "the public". the cars parks provided by the pubs all state " for patrons/customers only."......thats fine, we all park up and buy a drink and/or food.So we are patrons/customers. As said , its irrelevant that we all turn up in a similar car . It would be a different matter if we just parked up in a pub car park and didnt purchase any food or drinks. And thats something we need to bear in mind perhaps.

im sure Alan/Gruntpa will. the mouthy baitch will soon regret her actions.
  21. Slick Pete. replied to gruntpa64's topic in Events - UK
Indeed. the correct response. Im sorry I had to leave early and didnt see the incident but I hope everyone will post up roughly what they spent. speaking for us all I have to say we are a well behaved peacable group of people. we park responsibly,we spend good money and we dont upset or intimidate our fellow pub users. This is the second time a little "unpleasant incident" has occured with staff with a bad attitude. Im in agreement with your actions.
  22. UK sales stopped in 94, so the car is an import.
  23. Manta V8 aint kiddin either. I went with him cos Darren was helping me collect Keith's old NA engine. Manta V8s conversion wasnt a shed either. BUT the high quality engineering that Keith is putting into his V8 conversion is MINDBLOWING. This is gonna be one MF of a beast when it growls outta that garage And here come my "respect" smileys to mate
