clearly a shop filled with muppets who know foo* all about wheels n tyres. Best to find somewhere else to buy yer stuff from. For every size rim available there is a correct tyre size. Putting a larger tyre on merely ups the profit to the seller. Nothing more.

V8 engines can be bought ready done at any BHP you want. As always its down to how much money you have. Scoggie and Dickens in the US are legendary for this type of unit. Also available here from people like Real Steel Darren/MantaV8 has most of the contact numbers as he is a long term user/transplanter of V8s. The BIG points in favour are PRICE and SIMPLICITY. its all been done loadsa times in the states before. The late Gavin Balmer ran an 11.5 sec quarter in his V8 engined Z32 and I can put you in touch with someone who was involved with that build. But FIRST you need a car!!! bring yer piggy bank on Sunday!! :wack:

Yep Dave thats the current plan now. Ie We go West to SouthBham area in Feb as suggested by Scrawni and then come South to Fosse Park area in March. So check out a location for us all and keep us posted Middle of March will be OK I think.

Two points. I have been long time ago. We used it as a Z Club meeting place. Its on the island NEXT to the NEC Island if you catch my drift. for me from J26 on M1 its approx 50 miles.. so personally thats OK. Basically M1 then onto A42/M42 all the way. virtually same distance as that snooty Boat Inn near Solihull. Im sure the others will post up their opinions if you start a new "meet " thread with a date.

Yep, it was a good un today. I know it was chilly but it is only January. Too many people to talk to really! Photos are not really my strong point but here are a couple of general shots to give an idea of the day.. Thanks to MantaV8 for originally suggesting this venue last year. He has another one in this area too that we could go to in the summer. Next month the group is moving a little further south for the meet and there are already some suggestions for a suitable location. Probably going to be organized by some members down that way. There are other new suggestions for summer meets on the way too.But I will leave that to others to post up. Midlands Meets have got off to a great start this year and Im sure with the number of members and ideas floating round that 2007 is going to be a good year.

the only thing Im rubbing in is a bit of G3 to clean the wheels priior to laquering!!! Not doing down your efforts etc either. I just put up my pic and post to show that you can do wheels yourself and very cheaply. Granted it is a filthy tedious job and I dont blame anyone for paying to have it done. they dont make those Taneisha wheels Im doing either and Im in no doubt at all that they too will be worth £400 with tyres when Im done. Like yours tho they wont be for sale so it doesnt really matter what they are worth does it.

They look very nice Nick, but at £240 for the four for polishing only , you have already done the tedious bit of splitting them, its not exactly cheap. Im curently doing some myself that were REALLY badly kerbed and peeling. I have not gone for ultimate mirror finish as I will be spraying them with 2K Laquer, so not neccessary. Final shine comes in the laquer. Here is a pic. Probably 2 hours work here . Cost ?? mabe £2 per wheel in materials. I may undo the centres and change the colour as the gold wont be ideal with my new paint scheme, will it???
