  1. Well now you are gonna have to buy sealant as well as sealant remover! :slap: LOL!!!
  2. You can turn up in anything you want mate. Local meets are all about people, the car is merely what gets you to the meet.
  3. NOOOOOOOO! DONT remove the sealant. Leave it alone. It will soften when you warm up the light for re assembly.
  4. All done now. Polished all the way round. Honest!
  5. And stop using that 1/2" drive socket set to tighten stuff up. Cos you'll strip the ally boss they fit into :smash:
  6. NO! NO! Wot I mean is the INVERTER is wired directly to the 12V battery supply. There is no step down to 8 or anything :slap: :nono:
  7. Its a straight 12 volt DC in. This one is wired direct to a battery to test its 100% OK before collection by its new owner. ;) ;)
  8. Its on the VIN plate. Possibly KH3???
  9. Warning!!! just read this. When I went to fix Emero's zed for a front pipe leak I filled up the coolant system correctly, bled it etc . When everything was OK and warm we set off for lunch at a nearby pub. Within 3 miles of leaving her house the matrix started to leak and steam up the vents. Emero turned round and we drove back 3 miles home. TOTAL 6 miles MAX. After I did the bypass I needed OVER ONE LITRE of water to top up the system. thats 6 miles of gentle driving = lose 1L coolant Im not one for telling anyone what to do with their car but just think carefully about what I have said. 10% loss in 6miles.
  10. LOL. I certainly am cringing. publicity ! Bah I hate it. Anyway its not just down to me. I had some help from Ed83 making the bypass and my good buddy Laurence Evans at Star Motorsport near Zworx kindly donated the use of his almost new trailer free as it was too dangerous to risk driving Emero's car with water spewing out from unknown sources.
  11. No mate, Nick has given up on the nitrous and is going L28 Turbo. Skiddell and me have his old bottles.and solenoids.
  12. I dont think you should get a Longlife exhaust at all. Why?? Longlife IIRC is a franchise that people buy into and as such the quality is dependent on who does the work. there is no national quality control. In my limited experience of Longlife systems the one i saw/had was mediocre at best.
  13. Agreed! 235/45 on 8" front. 255/40 on 9" rear. as Richard says... common sizes so plenty of tyre choice at all price /quality levels . Will look good and handle well.
  14. 265 will fit on a 9" rim but are recomended for 9.5" also they are a bit tall. Std Z UK rear of 245/46-16 is 623mm OD a 255/40 -17 is 633mm OD a 275/40-17 is 649mm OD So the 265 will be approx 640MM thats nearly 20mm taller than standard. Not ideal IMO
  15. Mine is a non ABS NA also. Just for reference... the NON ABS BMC has four separate outlets, one to each wheel..
  16. i havent tried it yet! LOL!!!! It used to be a fire extinguisher in a previous life, but now as you have correctly guessed its fully re worked and tested for NOS. destined to go in my mate's 240Z after I have finished polishing it. I have another bottle too, sooooooo maybe I might get him to install it in mine later this year.
  17. Speak to MickeyB at Zworx. He is in the traders section. He has a conzult.
  18. I was thinking of fitting a fire extinguisher in my new Zed. Do you think this will be big enough???
  19. In theory Argo shield is a better gas and CO2 on its own might be less than ideal. However for lots of amateur welders like myself it works OK and is significantly cheaper. I purchase an ex pub bottle quite legitimately from a local welding supplies company. i just return to have it refilled from the large bottles he keeps for the purpose. In my experience using same thickness pieces rather than different thicknesses is slightly easier. But the most important thing is to be welding CLEAN rust free, paintfree pieces.
  20. Nothing personal here Mark but failed project cars NEVER make good money. Look at it from a buyers point of view. Projects cant be driven, often cant be heard running, and are invariably in 100 pieces. And failed projects are usually a forced sale . So potential buyers are exposed to a high risk purchase and will bid accordingly. I should know ive bought enough failed projects in my time(not Z32TTs) As Si says.. make some effort. Delete all the current pics and start again, Or just resign yourself to a low price and move on.
  21. Welcome! So what did you buy then??? Ebay short shifters usually have bushes with them. If not then Mike at MJP will sort some for you. door catches are prone to breaking and it is often the plastic that the rod pushes into.
  22. No one wants to post up about oil. Its been debated to death before. Then the Oilman jumps in and we have endless debates about esters and stuff. there are 100 oils out there and for every oil out there there is someone who uses it in their 300 and someone else who wouldnt touch it with a barge pole . as with any product . just buy the best quality you personally can afford.
  23. Speak to MickeyB at Zworx, in our traders section.
  24. Yer fooookin PM box is full again. LOL! :smash: :smash:
