  1. Another step forward. Finally today I got one side all in place. My custom modded braided brake lines arrived today , so next week I can get the caliper on and repeat the whole process on the other side.
  2. And bear in mind that nearly all the s/h manual boxes are now 15/16 years old and many will be thrashed to death in a previous car.
  3. Multimap.com is your friend at all times. Or Tom Tom *** if you are rich and have one. :p Just enter this simple sequence! LOL CV7 7HL And ... Voila... there it is!
  4. Scrawni you are doing fine at the organizing mate. Usual time is 12 midday(ish) Just note this......... But take care as the island is really under the A 45 so you go DOWN the slip road to get to it. Likewise from coventry side. Take A 45 and exit DOWN the slip road to Stonebridge Island. Entrance to the pub is off the Island.IIRC. You can get yer own back on Skyline Dave next month cos its his turn in March. :p
  5. thanks for the tip but.................................... I already knew that one :D :D :D And here is one I did earlier
  6. Heather we are not all sarcastic morons on here, as you know already. i know many of the guys who have posted on this thread such as Gio, Apache, SuffolkZX. Legrath Etc etc. All top blokes who are always willing to help. Just ignore the others or report the post to MAC1 who will sort them out. Unfortunately there are a few and they see newbies as fair game. PM me for some info on steering stuff and I will see wot I can arrange
  7. yep it is. M6 all the way. Get on to M42 for one junction . Follow NEC signs off M42 up to the "NEC Island" Pub is off the next roundabout down the A45 to Coventry.
  8. Your car is protesting........... About its dodgy owner! :nelson:
  9. You have PM Paul. anyone else bought from them????
  10. E-bay seller. does two piece silicone Rad hose set in red n blue. And lots of other stuff too. Anyone used them?
  11. This is the nicest 240Z I have seen :D
  12. Fitting the HID lit to an NA is even easier than a TT as access to the lights is easier. There is room in the engine bay near the light to put the "black box". But if you have a cone type airfilter then you can do a nice "stealth install" and locate the black boxes either side of the cone filter. If you dont want to do it yourself then I will do it for you. FOC. Only problem is the distance.
  13. That makes the £550 I paid for a pair of s/h front calipers with pads AND discs seem cheap!!!
  14. You can get heated screens made for any car. my pal Laurence at Star Motorsport has them made for the Rally/Safari 240Zs
  15. Subframe fitting needed to wait till I had installed the roll cage and worked out where it would sit, and bolt thru. although in my case I will be welding in the roll cage as an integral part of the shell. Part of the project was to develop a roll cage for the SWB shell and others may wish to bolt in only not weld in. At present there is just one other SWB owner with a cage from the batch I had made and his car wont be on the road yet either as working from a wheelchair is slow going! ;) If someone would just come and buy my red slicktop then I could get on even quicker with this one....(hint)!!!! :D
  16. as you may remember Paul, it looked something like this when you came. I had to wait a long time to get a space on my mates jig to straighten it and I ended up needing to buy a whole extra car just to get that sill/floor section which neded replacing. At the time quite a few keyboard experts said what an easy repair. Well it wasnt I can tell you. The entire shell was "bananed". My jig man Mick is however a master craftsman in his trade and all is now "strait n true". It took me nearly a day just removing that silver shell cut and preparing it to weld in. Similarly ALL the sound insulation in the corresponding car floor had to be cleaned back to bare metal before Mick could start to pull it on the jig.
  17. Plenty of members now with Blueflame cat back now fitted. Just under £400 on ebay. Boldy and Apache are two that spring to mind. Mine is waiting to go on my new project car.
  18. Oh it's serious !!! Just messy at the moment. here is another view. Proper parts bin special :) at the last count six cars have given up bits for this build
  19. I have nearly all the parts collected together for my new slicktop project now. So I have made a little progress on the build. It still looks a mess as anyone who has seen it knows. One day however.......
  20. HID kit. Plug n play Danny at DTA can advise/supply I think.
  21. glad its all back together Ed. When I got to Eds this morning I was going to wind the stud out with a pair of lock-nuts. However there was not enought thread to wind on the second nut. So it was on to plan B. weld one nut on to the stud. I had taken my auto dim helmet as a precaution. So time for a quick practice blob with Eds little Mig machine turned well up!!! then after removing both short rubber water hoses there was enough room to poke the mig torch in. Line it up on the stud and squeeze the trigger. Got it first time but just added a second shot to make sure. The only trouble now was getting a spanner or socket over the welded nut in a limited space. Couple of attempts and out it wound. I then left Ed to put it all back together. Job done :)
  22. It wasnt in the original "job description" Do you think he'll notice??? :nono: i will email him a "revised quotation"
  23. LOL!! Wot are you doing on here???? Havent you got water leaks on Zeds to fix???? :slap:
  24. Just come and pick up a pipe from me mate. Saw the end off the brake pipe that is stuck, then you can use a hex sided socket to undo it. But come first thing for the pipe.
  25. Lol!!! :smash: :smash: Just call me on my other phone!! :slap:
