  1. Sounds like theyre building up to get themselves out the shit to me.
  2. Gizmo has had good reviews. Competitly priced too
  3. does your have that ridge in it?
  4. did the overboost redisture (or however you spell it) or because of the fact it was only on one bank did it not show very clearly.
  5. my inlaws have one which i borrow occasionally, really nice little cars esp with the heated front screen. well built feel solid even with high miles. my only critisim is the gera knob in theres feels horrid everytime you change simply because of the shape of it.
  6. sorry so basically the turbo actuator has remained jammed allowing the turbo to overboost? and melt the piston crown? i bet your sick of that bloody engine now anrt you? i suppose if they teste dthem and certified them and its cause dthe damge could you potentially forward to cost to them of the rebuild? if your coming back down to turbo technics which i beleive isnt far from me? in dorset. give me a shout you can pop in for a brew if you want mate.
  7. with all the wet we have have, its quite possible. it runs fine with the afm's disconnected? thats a pretty sure sigh its a afm issue. mine did the same a while back it just got worse and worse until teh car wouldnt start.
  8. i dont think it will be the relay itself at fault, probally more of a switch related matter. ie it cannot decide wether the switch is open or closed. disconnecting the relay simply disables the ability for the aircon to engauge. the ecu increases the base idle when the aircon is turned on or off to compensate for the extra drag caused by the aircon compressor engauging. realistically if that isnt the cause of the fault ie the aircon not engauging disengauging properly and causing you to bog down or run high, (makes sense really as the numbers of increae you were reffering to would be about right.) you may have an air leak issue which is worth checking or as already sugested an air metering issue, idle control valve or throttle position sensor faluts.
  9. do you think is is relate dto your rev issue it would make sense. try disconnectiong the air con relay in the main relay box. see if the rev issue remains
  10. You were lucky ryan, my mrs is applying left right a centre what is it you do?
  11. Ud be very lucky on a zed my capri was on classic when I was 21 but the zeds a little more of an animal.
  12. Las ramblas has to be seen, back street bars are half the price. Carry only the cash you need etc, or what you can afford to loose. If you dont get pick pocketed your a lucky man. The marina is a great place to eat aand drink.went there 3/4 years ago. MAD! place and very dodge if your not on the ball. Enjoy, lucky bugger.
  13. You need! Front arches or at least simular poke. But me likly.
  14. iirc the stock ngk plugs were not not only found to be the best but they were designed for the zed specifically.
  15. I also like the stock ones when spaced out correctly. There just so small though.
  16. Rotas are tried and tested and look great esp grids or simular. 18" rays of the 350 or 17s off the r33 gtr also look great and carry a stoclish element to them.
  17. That sounds weird full stop
  18. sorry didnt pick up on this, we took it all apart and cleaned it all as it was minging with old brake soot, put them back together but sadly didnt have any copper grease at the time. so put them back together and well they still creak. so i guess my next thing is to copper slip them up. the spacers have been taken off and they still creaked with them removed. so im pretty sure they have sod all to do with it. any other common causes rather than dirt?
  19. well let you off youve been working too hard lol
  20. thats not thattttttt bad. lol the inner sill shouldnt be too bad depending on how far back youve gotta go to get to good metal. and well teh outter sill will be a piece of piss. :)
  21. yup lol its jimmers brother in law ringing any bells?
  22. i think everyones clarifing what i already knew, or thought i knew. it just feels like driving a car with a foorbared friction disc which in a way it is, what supfront simply isnt reaching the wheels some times it locks up and it does othertimes its simply slipping.
  23. thats how mine used to be when i got it ryan, but i seems to have to lock it down and down more and more, until apoint now where its unwilling to change gear, and when it does if your anything but crusing it sruggle sto grab a hold.
  24. wish i forgot about a saviungs account, seems the only forgeting about it do is forgetting to put money in it.
