  1. A few have been over 170 autobahn etc, have a look into the jun z it holds a class landspeed record well over 200mph
  2. Lol mine came about after a rocker cover bolt fell down an oil return!
  3. Yeah I meant in terms of percentage gains.
  4. Not had this problem im very particular at keeping hold of them, and I invested in a magnet on a stick to solve the probllem
  5. Could the stock z32 front calipers be used as rears?
  6. the front calipers shouldnt need a spacer.
  7. thats a lovely chart but what does that actually mean in real life.
  8. just ordering mine now, so pop the new on eon the freezer over night, then jack the car up remove tyhe wheel and toe arm, then heat the sucker out , then what? then once its out keep the arm warm and pop the frozen new one straight in. that right?
  9. Its got fuel in it?
  10. alot of vauxhals have maf issues, simply unplugging it and resetting the ecu, will often point it out at fault. is it an early one? i know the early ones had an issue with diesel being sucked up via capiliary action into the ecu. causing them to drive like a bag of crap, until they die on you. both of my mates that had them had this happen and its why i didnt buy one, amogst other personal reasons.
  11. air con is dead rich, just blows hot air at you no matter what settings you input. it also does this on econ. i think the motorised valve that closes down to control the water tempreture has had it, however its behin dthe dash and i cant be arsed to go fishing for it just right now.
  12. yes, and essentially im going to do very much that. expect i would like to lower the kick in point. as iirc the kick in point for the eletric fan is pretty high. just wanna safegaurd the little vg i suppose its paranoia but its also a little control.
  13. ah, did we not tell you lol. unfortunatly the stock cooling is adequate. on a hot day with spirited driving or hard traffic jams it can send the zeds temp north. unfortunatly the stock water gauge is crap! basically if it starts to register a warmer than normal reading your already over heating. fortunatly yours sounds like awell looked after motor mate, but many of us have had to do some extra work to keep the temps down.
  14. well its how alot of these after market kits that replaces viscouses work. but i want to run them together.over the top maybe, but for the few quid it would cost well worth the peave of mind.
  15. as above really, im going to make the ac redundant, and add a more accurate water temp gauge. during this process it seems a good idea to use the existing fan, as addintional cooling. nissan wisely madethe ac fan an emergency overheat failsafe, however id like to lower the limit it cuts in at. id be maintaining the viscous, adding a junction fitting to allow me to run the aftermarket temp gauge. so what else whould i need and where can i purchase the parts to make this idea work.
  16. not me, its not going anywhere thsi weekend
  17. thats what id call burgandy lol. against ag2 its v dark lol. you notice when you see mine at some point.
  18. which ones you changing ryan? i literally just took mine to a local hydrolics specailist and they reused the ends and redid it all with fresh hoses etc, i alos went with the new style hydralic washers rather than the copper ones. the one that rund along the subframe is easy the other two require incooler ducting removal, also easy just time consuming.
  19. ah right god bless the pig iron lol. i know what you mean about the overbore theirs a write up i was reaing that hellraiser pointed me towards that makes for good reading where they went pretty far on the overbore and did some crazy stuff like cryogenic treatment and resin filling the block etc.
  20. cowpatmatt has one thats used in bdcc, so it may well be worth getting in contact with him in terms of that. and in reality 300 bhp is enough for the road, and 400 bhp zed is enough of a handfull for most people other than those that want to take their dyno sheet to the pub.
  21. oh yeah ive seen the size mate, poking out your nose like an angry mutha lol.
  22. think you need a trip to zedworld mate.
  23. why the hell not.
  24. also considering the damage caused to that piston, how badly was the bore affected? will the 0.5mm over bore be enough to take up the damage and leave a clean bore? you going to hav etthe water passage cleaned up? to allow the water to get to 5/6 better?
  25. ouch! lesson learned hey. at least you can take the knowledge you aquire from this epposide, and we as a club that havent seen this happen before (like myself) can learn the importance of a proper afr. what front mount you using again mark? i swear and someone will correct me but someone here was looking at alot of the front mounts and many of the non big brand ones ie not greddy etc were only as good as stock and one was worse! so it would also be intersting to know what the cahrge temp was. obviously fueling has been the killer here, but it would be good to elminate some other factors while your at it.
