  1. mines fine it just takes a week to kick down or up. literaly can take a full two seconds or so to change at full throttle.
  2. yeah i think tahts the plan tomorrow evening. guess il; have to take it for a spin nm eh lol
  3. get a smoke pellet in there and leak test it the smoke will push out the leak and you will find your leaks, i dunno what the whine could be and i dont want to speculate. i think its important you sort out the boost leaks then you can be sure that varable is out the way.
  4. i used them load of crap!
  5. lol well its always got bacon wedged between it so your loss. :P
  6. ive recently fitted some 15mm hubcentric spacers since this when the brakes are hot they creak. i have no vibration at speed no clunking no funny behaviour and i also have no creaking whilst rolling at speed. as soon as the car drops below 10mph or so and i apply the brakes once theyre warmed up crek creak, it will even do it at a standstill. so im confused now. all i can think is that the spacers are too tight and where the disc is expenading its putting stress on the assembly. i got an assisatnt to press the brake at standstill and you can hear the creak through the centre of the wheel. this morning obviously cooled down they didnt do it anymore. :s i did the nuts up at 84 newton metres.
  7. yeah the old sniff test if it smells of toast it probally is. also you could rol the fuild on some white kitchen rol if its pink its a winner if its brown oh dear.

  13. interesting stuff, if you were closer mate id offer a hand breaking the thing.
  14. dunno which 200sx they where off but they were definatly too short.
  15. unfortunatly they arnt the same, i think it was an s13 i looked at. maybe s14s are different i dont know however, the one i tried was too short, the pinion was the correct size the thread was correct it was just too small via about 2 inches in length.
  16. what coilovers have you got? some are harsher than others. and what ride height you running? maybe it just needs setting up better softer settings may transform the cr to a more comfortable ride.
  17. ive always liked the stagea real wolf in sheeps clothing.
  18. yeah thats what i seemed to work out from it, that the arm or tie rod itself varied according to the car which makles sense but nissan had used the same tie rod ends. il take the old one in with me to compare, only way to know i suppose.
  19. they look the same and are half the price? and available off the shelf. im gonna try and compare them upclose to check but atm it looks like they are the same, which also makes them the same as a huge long list of nissans.
  20. sounds like a sensor error. time for an aftermarket as steams says.
  21. safety boost is 7psi roughly stock boost is 9psi roughly many will run 12 psi stock running 14psi on a stock engine requires a chipped ecu. you could run a max of 16 psi on stock injectors and a chipped ecu, stock tubs and injectors prevent you going beyond 370 bhp. thats those "facts" as they are generally accepted. where the rest of it came from i dunno, but yeah running 10psi is marginally over stock.
  22. seperated the tie rod end off the steering arm in the end (cheers gaz) unfortunatly the damn tie rod is bent on the thread, ive realised why now doh. but yeh so i need a new one! ands it bankholiday so no parts and the flying zed is grounded :(
  23. Tracking arm wont seperate tried that :( may have to do the universal method
  24. anyone else found this job to be a complete and utter pig! ive been fart arsing about with it for two hours. and got no where, having another crack at it tomorrow so if anyone has any usefull tips on how to do this please share them with me. cheers
