  1. As some of you may well know, me and my girlfriend have been trying pretty hard to get our hands on some deposit money for our first property, the massive amount needed coupled with my poor salary and here period of 6 months unemployed, has meant that many things have been pretty slow, the car for one. Other things have just been more important finacially, it was looking at one point as if i would have to sell the zed, thankfully she got a job but even then the running costs would cripple my mearge salary once we were paying a mortgauge, so id either have to keep it and hope it didnt break/never use it or just sell it. Well im happy to report that for the last month ive been keeping something to myself, I HAVE A NEW JOB. The contract starts in august, includes many benifits that include a new company van, phone etc and the salary is double my previous one. All in all that means, we can save way more over the next 6 months, get a far better mortgauge, i can keep the zed and continue the project. Infact ive alreday had the go ahead from the boss that as a treat to myself for this once we are in the new house i can get myself a nice shiney new pair of snails. To say im chuffed is an understatement, its taken so much stress off us and means we can finially get on with our lives. Now for the fun of getting the mortagauge offer, finding a house and buying it, fun time ahead:pinch:

  4. Yeah i heard that one, honestly you could give that lot a miricle cure for world hunger and they would say they were concerned about it causing obeseity. However i do find it quite funny that the stuff is completly harmeless to inhale but the juice is poisioness? doesnt sound quite right oes it.

  8. I always think a heater matirix smells like a really bad fishy curry. lol
  9. Not that often these days tbh, when i first got it yes, the previous owner hadnt done anything to it mechanically, so although it looked great cosmetically, the bits the mattered not so much, then the ensuing work that carried on from this and some other circumstances meant i was faffing about with it for a while. Ive owned the car for 5 years now, touch wood its been pretty reliable for the last 3/4 years, i have had it off the road fot times to do things like convert it to maual etc, that was purely personal modifactions. So realistically if its in pieces, its because im fiddling for the sake of fiddling haha. Ive currently got all the boot pannels out and the everything everywhere as i got some new rear springs for a bargin and wanted to see if they would drop the back end down any further. As far as insures yeah you will struggle under 25 to get classic policies, some will honour them at 21 SOME but they wont be as cheap, my capri was on a classic policy at 21. Id wait the 5 months if you can, or buy one now and get it all serviced up ready to drive once you turn 25.
  10. Bloody wind up merch, you can have my car next spring for working your magic... You'll enjoy that.
  11. Been talking to powertrix this evening....
  12. I spose the thing is Dorset doesn't have a single motorway, just busy a roads and dual carriageways, stop start make cruise damn near useless.

  17. Intermittent stuff sucks!
  18. Did you instal all the cruise switches on the pedals? pretty sure it doenst work anyways. In any event cruise control is useless in this day and age, just throw it out and de-clutter the engine bay.
  19. having one as a toy/second car is soooo much better than using it daily, a zed on ice is no fun lol. neither is having to know its got to be back on piece by Monday.... not to mention sitting in a traffic que and watching pound notes falling out the back.
  20. I dunno what the weather is like where you are but its been chucking it down here...targas leak for fun, try sprasying water over your roof and waiting to see droplets foprm on the inside of the roof. Check your engine fluid levels, and pour some water down the targa drain holes check the water comes out the sill, if it doesn't the tube insides probably popped off.
