  1. Alright guys, I've had the rear struts out this week. I checked through the service manual for the torque settings, the rear ones were around 20nm, that sounds LOW especially seeing as when I did the fronts it was 40 odd. So I checked that to, yeah its around 40nm, now I'm confused. Surely they would be the same its the same bolts at the same size doing the same job would the rears really be half the torque setting? Or have I misread the service manual.
  2. You can purchase a compression tester from Halfords for cheap, http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_199553_langId_-1_categoryId_255216 ive got that one, and so does my mate who uses it or porches, a lot wont fit due to the length of the hose supplied. At least then you can say the cylinder hasn't collapsed, which would be worse case scenario.
  3. I dont know wether you know this yet, but if you remove the rear interior quater pannels you will have good visual access to the inner sill.
  4. A 360 trust only protects the front from overboost, rear seal wise a stepped gap is the best way forward, however even with both they can still bloody leak, mine still leak after being rebuilt with both, albeit only when ive been ragging it.
  5. The amount of work people ar eprepared to put into these cars is getting more and more, with people going on to ho wthe ford boys are and really looking after the shells maxiumum respect to you an dat the end of it you will have a belter no doubt.
  6. Good soilid numbers, i sem to remeber something about the waste gates on those opening up the opposite way up to the garret style ones, causing isses with the wastegate opening and closing properly...
  7. That doesnt sound positive im afraid to say, however mine did that because i drained the oil cooler and didnt refil it manually so it soaked up the volume, after id topped it up once it was fine. Did you put up a video? Didn't zedworld fit the block? May be worth having a chat and seeing if they noticed anything during transplant. let us know how you get on this sucks balls.
  8. :arabia: not swallowing that one lol
  9. Who knows anything about either of these cars? a local chap has just brought a leopard, under the bonnet is a vg30de like the one found in a z31 300zr not a non turbo z32 ie with a single plenum entry plenum.

  19. The black stripe is actually a plastic panel, that clips on. The earlier models like ours, the spoiler is bonded over that section, so they are exclusive parts you cant use both. However did I spot the other day yours has been de-spoilered? that part is available again though mjp for cheaper than what Nissan will sell it to you.
