  3. Fantastic news, its always hard to sell on a car and finding out its been written off is gutting. So to find out its being looked after is great news, hopefully the good intentions will continue and it wont get bent twice.

  5. good on you mate, once if all out the way and you get the wire brush on there you will be able to see what's to do much more clearly.
  6. OEM for this kind of stuff, they make it because people will buy it. There are nismo ones that open slightly earlier but unless you have a track car a big rad its of no real benefit so im told, so on a fully stock system, a bigger rad would be a better thing to spend your hard earned on rather than a fancy thermostat(a lot of the one son ebay are apparently fake! real ones are damn expensive compared to stock) also its a faff to change a thermostat on a vg(easy but still a faff) you don't really want to do it twice in the same year just for the sake of a few quid.
  7. Is this also something to do with the way the viscous diff works because it cannot lock 100% one wheel is never putting down the exact same amount of torque as the other so the car wants to walk forward? is that the correct assumption?
  8. As everyone else has said that is over fueling like a pig! get that boost leak checker on there barry, come on this is school boy stuff you already know :P. Its probably riddled with boost leaks. whats it running uner the bonnet for those 400+ horses, if its putting that down running rich like that it will run so much better when its sorted, and I bet if that's that much crap coming out the back the plugs are probably fuel fouling hence the intermittent misfiring. On the plus side at least its not running lean hahaha
  9. I think mine has actually agreed to come along to beaulieu as its local and she can walk round the gardens etc, so its not all Japanese cars, she likes cars just not Japanese ones, go figure.... but anyways it should be a good day out.
  10. did you loose loads of coolant when it set on fire? my guess is that it overheated in the process and you have warped the head. Personally it would be cheaper easier and faster to pull it out and replace it with one that has good compression and hasn't been on fire lol.
  11. are you sure the cambelt is corret? does it run like that? id be suprised
  12. fantastic news, now plan o drag it down to the new forest on the 4th of august, and meet some more zed owners.....:D
  13. I still haven't quite grasped this business, am I right in thinking that a 50 grade will make you less prone to loosing oil when up to temperature?
  14. I asked a similar question a year or so back in regaurd's to the manual transmission cooler, and was informed by silverbullit that even in his race car zed it wasn't required. My understanding of its reason for inclusion on UK models is for towing stress, English people like caravans according to japan I guess lol.
  15. that's a mighty shame to go breaking that mate.....
  16. HID problem is easy, simply create I direct short at the head light, if you search high beam trick or something along those lines you will find the ins and outs. This causes the main beams to remain on when the full beams are switched on. I could show you very easily, but its hard to explain, takes about 10 seconds. As or the handbrake, is this just adjustment? or simply the shoes are too worn...new ones are available through conceptua. The earth issue well all you can do is clean all the connections, water not ingressing through the spoiler?
  17. We all know beaner a backdoor trader, on his old car he a had a pink starfish sticker on it to advertise so, that's almost a rainbow sticker :P hahahaha
  18. I've never purchased from them, the service wasn't my issue, more the fact that many of us are buying from them as its the best option for the aftermarket parts. z1 are a sponsor on here and I think it makes great sense for them to have a rep on here to help out offer us deals that may occur, etc. Hopefully it will see more group buys occurring and lowering postage cots to the individual. I now a few will add onto others orders in an attempt to keep down cost which relays on trust, good faith, im sure many of us wouldn't mind waiting a month for a few others to bulk out the order to get a much better transport cost for example. Anyways the message is they are up to something, watch this space.
  19. Just to point out, the vg30dett is a cast block with ali heads, just incase you weren't aware, so it may well not be so straight forward sadly.
  20. Just had a response from z1 today.... "Stephen, Thanks for your message. We actually have something specific in the works regarding a UK rep. I expect you will see the results of this in the next couple months. We really appreciate our customers from across the pond and want to offer them a top notch level of communication and customer service." ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo sounds interesting :)
  21. Doh any ideas why?
  22. oh you brought that one, congratulations that looked like a really good well looked after example.
  23. swap that console lid over for a leather one and you on to a winner there I think.
  24. Welcome, fortunately you've joined quite an active area joint meets between this area and the south coast are fairly common and You've got powerzed not far from you who is the leading engine builder for these cars in the country. Don't worry too much about long distance that's what these cars were made for, just make sure all your fluids are topped up before you leave, and if it is a twin turbo model don't rag it about too much until you get a good service on those fluids and hoses, to prevent any overheating accidents, which seeings as its been purchased from a club member has probably been done. Congratulations on your purchase.
  25. looks like you've gotta mix of 5b and 6b they should all be 6b's these plugs pfr6b-c or something along those lines were made by ngk specifically for the z32 vg30de/tt the turbo ones require the 6b the non turbo the 6. Now these are expensive about 50/60 quid a set, however noz has been putting in some copper ones that are much cheaper and he advises highly, you will quickly find that o the search function. As for the colour yeah they look pretty normal tbh, its when they are black or wet that's usually an indication of an issue. http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http://modernvespa.com/pix/uploads/spark_plug_colour_810.jpg&imgrefurl=http://modernvespa.com/forum/wiki-2-stroke-carburetor-set-up-technique&h=400&w=400&sz=90&tbnid=PS4jrlt_CPdMCM:&tbnh=93&tbnw=93&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dspark%2Bplug%2Bcolour%2Bdiagnosis%26tbm%3Disch%26tbo%3Du&zoom=1&q=spark+plug+colour+diagnosis&usg=__f7Gl7jVjQR53rZsf1-ww5pbXkQY=&docid=3-XzSdTySwWyWM&sa=X&ei=aU2jUePTBseg0wWYg4DQBw&ved=0CEoQ9QEwBA&dur=108 that link should help you to see whats normal.
