  1. its the fact half the damn thread is machine out that hes not happy with, I expressed the same concern. much better to take a little off the caliper.
  2. the interview the three guys that walk off half way through are me, Louis my (brother in law) and malcom (hellraisers brother)
  3. awesome list updated to include you guys.
  4. was there to see most of it, for those that weren't he was competing against some serious cars including a supercharged v8 skyline for example, and a pretty much stock 300zx won, fantastic driving. One more victory for z32 is an unreliable beast my arse......
  5. I know what you mean about the rear arches, for me it would be the engine, I like the vg but its turbo layout is a dick simply providing the car with a na v8 would have yielded the same power without the over complications.
  6. I saw a corsa yesterday mostly held together with wood screws, il see if I can photograph it.
  7. literally just having a cuppa before leaving :)
  8. I like my fords, but the angle box never did it for me. :( the lotus twincam engine however is a ripper!
  9. Very true, few people have the type of mind that reacts the way they know they should in an emergency situation, most of us just panic and do the obvious, that's human nature. It takes a lot to conditioning yourself to do the right thing sometimes, take understeer and oversteer for example, your automatic reaction only makes things worse.
  10. Look at that 6 of us already :) if theres enough of us we could probably sort out a BBQ in the evening or some sort of event, there's loads of camp sites locally if anyone wants to make a weekend of it.
  11. That's what I was thinking mark, as the high pressure lines for oil down there are solid, and it would have to be soooooo hot to ignite it, more likely a split or leaking feul piece up on the plemum created a gas pocket of fuel or a pool and whoosh fire! Whatever, very sad and as dicky said £20 worth of fire extinguisher can save a car.
  12. Sunday the 4th to be exact is the second coming of Beaulieu's successful Japanese event Simply Japanese. Link to pricing and the official event page is here; http://www.beaulieu.co.uk/beaulieu-events/club-rally/simply-japanese It's a fantastic opportunity to visit the historic site, at a price of £10 for adults and £5 for children Roughly half price, when you arrive in a jap car. It's a perfect weekend in the best part of the year, so take the opportunity to drag the family down and enjoy. Come on then, worth traveling and even more worth it if your local which plenty are. 13. About 7ish this evening heading towards poole, anyone on here?
  14. Leave them silver mate, gold on red doesn't work imoh, you need a cherry red in the red range, it requires a dark colour to pull it off the same applies to bronze to a certain extent. Black as said has been done to death, and you need a really really good finish to make it look right, coupled with the correct style of wheel. Personally with the colour of your car and the design of the wheel the stock silver colour keeps a good theme, it makes them look as if they should be there.
  15. they are surprisingly quick the vxr ones, its all in the launch with the zed though isn't it, they seem to suffer getting off the line, but once they are going.....what time did you put up on that run?
  16. I did, haven't done anything with the ecu other than connect up the neutral switch.
  17. from what has been said on zed club we can enter from 6.30 onwards, il be aiming for that personally.
  18. tune it cheap and it will blow up in your face, youd be better off getting it serviced first, running 100% then having it remapped and upping the boost, you will notice very little difference in bhp with exhausts etc, without the ground work done, and it will most likely not respond well to being poked about, its the classic mistake with the vg.
  19. When you have to take the long route home because the bumps are too big its too low, when you can take the short route through the pot homes and the gravel its too high.
  20. refresh my memory...What mods you running?
  21. yes, a picture is irrelevant without the numbers. from my understanding at stock height, the gap between the tyre face and the edge of the arch is around 50mm, depending on how much your stock springs have sagged, megan lowering springs are about 50mm and see the tyre just kissing the arch edge. Mines lowered by 20mm in the back 30mm up front, which leaves me with a gap of about 20mm ish and 15mm ish up front.
  22. lol I was wondering who would jump on that first, they have standpipes or weir towers, its so you can fit a sump and pump water round in circuits, almost mandatory for certain projects.
  23. I could give you an answer, but the reality is the second hand tank market esp that size bracket is very poor. its only the 5ft plus tanks which are drilled which seem to hold value, shame because that's exactly what I could do with atm a 6ft with a pair of holes in it lol.
  24. forecast for rain Tuesday and Wednesday! grrrrrrrrrr
