  1. Those 350 wheels are quite a popular choice these days arn't they, not bad looking either.
  2. It's not just the cover tbh mate, silly things like if I leave it for a few months the reversing beeper just jams on, or it will fire up on four/five cylinders. The car just seems happier to be used more frequently, get warm and move about.
  3. Nice pic. That VW to your left is very Mazda looking lol. - - - Updated - - - Yup. Need some 10/15s up back now.
  4. I agree Si. The black bonnet created a weird notch like effect, made her look very arse heavy. The fogs, I dunno why but they do look dark and tired in pictures. They arn't. I think maybe it's contrast with the crystal indicators. Maybe some late spec indicator/corner lights would balance it up better. It's the wheels that bother me most often, as you know. Then after a good clean they look 100xs better. I'd switch to 350 Rays but I need more rubber not less. Another story though really. - - - Updated - - - Get a picture up then, a nice winter pic. - - - Updated - - - I think it's rain...
  5. Having no where to store a zed in winter is crap, we all know that. The last two winters mines gone into hibernation. I think I can honestly say it's received more weather related damage than being used. So in honour of the new tax law, allowing the payment to be monthly, making life easier and the extensive anti rust program I went through last winter, I've decided to just keep driving it, unless it's salty/raining. So I thought I'd start a new thread on the back of the colour threads. It's for the winter warriors, we see the garage queens posted up now I want to see the daily driven zeds, the dirty, used ones. So although mine isn't the aim of thread, you can't start without a picture. Weekend toy, fresh from an early winter drive today. Dodging the euro boxes, pick ups and tractors of Dorsets A and B roads. Washed off ready to sleep for the week again...
  6. I agree. Although I think a couple of night time shots in the rain would help your case. I don't really get these type of bays. Surely if you can park in it you have the blue badge, that enables you to park on double yellows. I think a single yellow would be far more applicable and less prone to misinterpretation. There's one outside my neighbours house, it makes that one look perfectly legible though it's that faded. Never seen anyone pay it the slightest bit of notice.
  7. Mines solid as a rock....for a car that does lots of road miles then the Nismo or poly like I used to have would be a better choice than solid rose joint type.
  8. My 1989/90 model has folding but not heated. JDM car. I thought it was UK/EURO spec that had the heated non folders.
  9. All JDMs do, think it's a legal thing. What he was referring to I believe is the auto fold in out function with the ignition. Which is rarer.
  10. I'd take a manual NA over an auto TT anyway, if i couldn't convert it.
  11. Lots of money for an NA.
  12. Because they are, I'm not going to say large or heavy because in comparison to most cars on the road these days they arn't, proper size cars as apposed to a flat out sports car, I'm thinking Elise etc here they always feel slower. Comparitively an original mini that's been tuned a bit feels quick, because there's nothing of it. Equally an Corsa can feel nippy. A friend of mine used to have a track prepped 1.3 60s mini, straight cut box etc, everywhere you went it felt like you were doing 100+mph, it actually only had like 100bhp and was only marginally faster than my old Capri, another friends CRX was rapid in comparison to both. A stock TT would literally eat both, even an NA. Power to weight is a big factor, not only in actual acceleration but in perception. Watch the needle next time you punch it and it's surprising, you just don't feel like your going that fast. Perception of speed is weird, the z32 is one of those decieving cars, esp when you take into account it's 26 years old now!!!
  13. In fairness it doesn't say they have to be road legal. It's a poo list, over it.
  14. What a bumkum list.
  15. Shit me, should of taken a picture. Maybe il finally put a face on you this summer.
  16. Sure your not describing yourself there?
  17. I dunno, every time I send my parents anything (France) it takes about a month to finish its journey once on the continent. French post is crap.
  18. I concour however Japfest does offer a very reasonable way to make track.
  19. I fought pretty hard last year to get mine ready, even mot'd it on the day before. Failed at the last hurdle. I did have more stuff planned this winter but I might just leave it alone so it's not a mad rush again.
  20. I will attend and have track time, I won't however be paying till after Christmas. Only one day for me though.
  21. We crossed that bridge last week, the North complained. I do agree though that to take a show that was southwest and Midlands on two separate events and make them them both in the Midlands. If anything they should of moved japfest 2 northerly.
  22. Not to start a debate here but it's been discovered that globally, extreme weather conditions are becoming LESS frequent in recent years rather than more. Where flooding is concerned the biggest factors are actually ground water run off, due to roads and concrete expansion, development of flood plains, water meadows and other natural flood water sinks and as silly as it might sound river straightening and channeling. Not that any of this is of any comfort to those affected. It also should be born in mind that similar issues occurred in the south west not too long ago, whilst the "they wouldn't let it happen down south moment get all vocal"
  23. The autos really did have about 280hp ish, hence the smaller turbos and milder cams, to prolong the autobox life. Manuals with bigger turbos and normal cams produced a healthier 300hp. They had to strangle the vg30dett somewhat to get it to 300hp, little effects like the low boost level (the stock map can handle more than 9psi throws at it) restrictions in the exhaust etc. the rules were new and I guess they didn't realise for a few years they could overshoot a touch without recourse. Incidentally the VG30 wasn't the first choice for the Z32 but the V8 they did have just wouldn't of allowed them to play the 280hp game.
  24. I believe that laws have changed surrounding advertising of new cars, they aren't supposed to show speeding or dangerous driving. Hence the weird, surreal adverts that have popped up.
