james08 Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 just picked this up for £300 any going by an old for sale ad from 2011 it used to be veilsides show car, i found it around the back of a bodyshop asked to buy it and got it, they say its sat there for a few years, does anyone know the car? its in liverpool Quote
groover Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 You got that for £300? bargain  Quote
james08 Posted December 17, 2015 Author Posted December 17, 2015 yep turbo manual with a possible 400bhp if the old ad is true Quote
Stephen Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 I doubt it's a genuine veilside car, it's not got a complete kit etc. I also doubt it has 400hp, that's the number banded around for a boost upgrade, chip and bolt ons. I expect in reality it's running about 330-340bhp. Still not to be sniffed at. Aside from that you've found a serious bargain. That's the desirable format, with some extras. Look forward to seeing what sorta state she's in. Quote
Mondo Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 The holes in the spoiler suggest it once had that God-awful VS wing on the back... Quote
Gaz 300 Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 Welcome to the club James and that is a bargain Z you got there. Quote
toolboxtrev Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 Is a bargain for that, I think this was the 1st car I looked at when I was in the market right at the start just over 3years ago. Quote
t.mogsy Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 Good find mate! Where about in liverpool is it? Quote
Richie K Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 Welcome to the Club James, that will be a nice car when it's done:thumbup1: I like the Tan leather interior. Quote
Alic Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 I am very Jelly, it will look really nice when its finished :thumbup1: Quote
Funkysi Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 The original Veilside demo cars had Veilside Andrews wheels and large bucket seats. I don't think this is an original, however I came across this - looks like a replica that blew its engine a while ago. Post number 12. Yours is almost certainly a replica. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?156107-Turbo-fitment&highlight=Veilside+Demo It could be related. Quote
takemetothepub Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 Link to the old advert http://retrorides.proboards.com/thread/98153/veilside-300zx-manual-400bhp-kings Quote
Alic Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 On the advert comments: "Hey, cool car but sorry not the actual car veilside used for advertising and showing the car. You're missing the veilside aero side mirrors, veilside hood, wrong paint colour(not the proper gold) missing the veilside 300zx combat decals on the doors and down the hood, missing the sparco bucket seats wrapped in tan leather and tan suede, missing the whole interior to be wrapped in tan leather and tan suede, also missing the veilside Andrew evolution V rims. Sad to see a buyer believe this, thought I'd do some poking around to see what veilside 300s are out there but gonna be honest here but I have the original demo 300zx TT sitting in my garage as we speak. . Gonna post it up soon and give pics of it. If you look up the car and the car advertisement for the combat body kit you can see the aftermarket hood isn't flush with the headlights bd nose panel just like mine btw. Check my car out when I post it, just though I'd give ya a heads up though..." Quote
