A new ZX - 400z !
I will believe it when I see it. A 400Z has been in the rumour mill probably since before the 370z came out. There certainly not going to turn out a fire breathing RWD cut price alternative to the GTR.

What did you do to your zed today?
I have 18s in 9J with a 20 offset. With 265s, it’s a problem. The position of the wheel in the arch, in poke terms, will vary with ride height. If I ran 245/255 it would likely be ok. It’s also only an issue on one side, the bodywork isn’t MM perfect on most cars and the way it comes in slightly tighter one side means mine rub on the rear bumper tab on the passenger side, now and again.

What have you been doing during lockdown/self-isolation?
Started tidying up a few loose Zed ends. Polished the door and boot shuts yesterday. Got a few pesky things to attend to.

Clutch Slave Replacement
Hi, can anyone recall what the cheaper alternative part is for replacement of the slave? A new Z32 one is about £100 but pattern part ones for other Nissans are about £25. Pretty sure S14 ones fit.

Modern Classics again....!
Iirc the Jag has some silly long final drive that makes it very smooth but also pretty sluggish.

Maybe I could learn code so I can finally start building my aquarium controller.

I’ve got one, I’ve also got a hyperactive three year old and wife who’s working from home, essentially I’m solo baby monitor.

This sums up the state of the country
It appears we’re all on lock down now anyway, so I’m stuck at home where I’ve been for a week and a half already and will be climbing the walls by Wednesday.

This sums up the state of the country
Probably two reasons Tony. Firstly some segments of the media are presenting (or have been) this to be the case, that for the young it’s simply a cold. Secondly, it’s easier to bury your head in the sand and pretend (till now) that it’s all hysterical nonsense and that the first point is prime. In short, fear, misinformed arrogance and bluster.

To be fair, if they spent more time listening to the bloke in charge, doing daily press conferences and the updates on the official government site, they’d still not have all the answers but they be a damned site less confused than if they keep reading the Mirror and the Sun. I’ve had some one tell me, “it’s ok, we don’t have to pay our mortgages.” I asked where they heard that, “sky news” they replied. I asked if they had actually looked at what their bank says... “no” People are stock piling because “Italy’s closed” they haven’t looked into enough to realise that they can still get food and it’s unnecessary to freeze half of Hovis’ delivery. The guy in Tesco (in reference to the lack of bread yesterday) told me, “we have got bread, the lorry is late, if you can wait 10 minutes the shelves will be full”

Coronavirus (COVID-19)
I think the gossip clouds the water, I’ve been having this conversation with my wife this morning. There’s so much “I heard” “I read in”, things are moving quickly in terms of procedure, there’s daily briefings coming direct from number 10 and these are straight from the horses mouth. Obviously there aren’t answers to every question, it’s simply impossible. I believe the advice of keep your head on and stay sensible, following the science is still the way GB is approaching this. Of corse the rights and wrongs, of these unprecedented events are for the history books to decide. There’s been a lot of misunderstanding of this “Herd Immunity” business, the press heard the term and ran with it. There’s a very simple video with a doctor explaining with buckets the approach being taken. It’s all about using the brakes at the right time and not too hard. Trying to balance the economic, social and health impacts. If we slam on the brakes and close the country, there will be an economic crash that will cause hardship for a generation or more, and I mean people living in tents hardship. If we let it run rife, short and fast the health service will be over run and the cost of life will be unacceptable. One thing is for sure, things are going to be hard and I do not want Boris’ job.

2020 International Census for the 300ZX Owners Club
I’m sure you're being flippant but Spain nearly a thousand miles away from me, it’s nearly 500 to Scotland. I drove to Brest in France last year and it took 17 hours. Dover to Penzance is over 350 miles. If we’re going to be as generic as to say, south, midlands and north we might as well just say England.

I would be categorised as South by that but “the south” is so vast two members could be as far apart as they are from Scotland.

I’ve got a set of new style, as Simon refers to, 370cc (stock TT size), they all ohm up correctly last time I checked them but they’ve not been flow tested or cleaned etc etc. You’d need adapters, they aren’t a straight swap.

5mm spacers
Hi guys, can I use a 5mm slip on spacer on the rear with stock studs? Not talking about the universal jobbies but the slip on hubcentric ones with the correct centre bore etc.

I suspect the drivers foot well fuse box/loom is a mess. Probably from a leaky targa drain.
