  1. There's a pink on Chester, seen it around a few times. My wife loves them and has done for ages, she wanted me to swap the zed so she could have one :x: They are good looking cars though - who said the Japanese couldn't build a car with character...
  2. I've just made the same decision, in order to get rid of the beer belly. I've gone for a hardtail mountain bike so I can use it both off road and on road. Seemed to be the best compromise between comfort and function. I bought a Specialized Rockhopper on the advice of my brother (mountain biking nut), it cost me £550 but it seems well worth it. I guess it depends on where you plan on riding your bike as to what you'd be looking for though.
  3. I was having hourly injections of morphine when I had mine... I thought I was in space :wack:  :smw: :D
  4. If you need one I can stick one in the post for you. Send me a PM with your address and I'll sort it out for you. Gareth
  5. Has anyone got any experience replacing the bush in the rear hub assy that the HICAS arms connect to? Also, any idea where they can be sourced from as all the bush kits I have seen have purely been for suspension components and not for the HICAS assembly. I'm not 100% sure if its a bush or a ball joint though... Thanks Gareth
  6. The OEM rear shocks I have just bought are Tokico manufactured, therefore maybe the standard rubber boots could fit? Just a thought...
  7. lol at all you slowcoaches!!! :x: ;)
  8. couple of pictures on here that may help. I had a leak here in the small rubber pipes, loads of work for such a little leak! http://www.ttzd.com/tech/60ktech.html
  9. Its got to be a good thing for both the marque and the club to have cars of this calibre in the uk. I'm sure I'm not the only one who is sick and tired hearing about big power Skylines, Supras, Evo's etc and how powerful / fast they are. There is a need to have zeds like this out there proving what is capable of the car and hopefully will give the zed some much deserved publicity. I take my hat off to the likes of Mac, Kirbz and now this car for pushing the boundary a bit further than we thought possible.   Gareth
  10. Thanks for the exceedingly rapid replies guys  Good job I stopped to think about this when stood in the garage half an hour ago :wack:  could have been painful...
  11. Can anyone tell me if the rear springs on the shock absorbers are still under compression once the unit has been taken off the car? I'm replacing my rear shocks at the moment but don't own a set of spring compressors. Obviously I don't want to undo the top nut only to have the spring fly through the garage roof, taking some part of my anatomy with it :wack: If its still under compression I'll take the old and new units to the local spanner monkey and get them to do it for me. Cheers Gareth
  12. Dinosaur Jr, Husker Du... what an awesome link  oh and Howard Jones too...I still have a tape somewhere :x:
  13. Anyone know where you can buy the full DVD from? Would like to get a copy of that...

  15. Job for this weekend is to replace my rear shocks and the hicas arms. Does anyone have any experience of these jobs that would like to share any tips? It doesn't look too technical, maybe just a time consuming job. I am also guessing that I will need to get the rear wheels aligned after fitting the hicas arms? Thanks for any pointers Gareth
  16. It should be 245/45/16 and not 245/40/16. Not a huge amount of choice but they are out there!
  17. I have a set of the 3G 10 groove ones and they are handed, so I'd guess other brands would be as well Gareth
  18. For the short hoses I just bought a short length of Samco hose and cut it to length. Seems to have done the trick (6 months & counting)
  19. http://www.itr-dc2.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=17686 I'm sure if he'd been in a Zed he'd have thrashed him... :p
  20. Cheers Dave M. for that. The 'other' Dave has sent me a copy of the manual for mine (the 1218t2 model) so I'll try what you suggested along with the manual. Thank you both for your help...what a wonderful place this is  :D
  21. I may have one, I'll have to check for you when I get home. If I do, it won't have the cover for it however. Gareth
  22. If you wouldn't mind doing that Dave, I would be very grateful to you. Thanks.
  23. I seem to have disabled the siren on my alarm somehow? Does anyone have one of these alarms and can advise what I may have done? (I have no instruction manual for it). I'm guessing I've pressed some combination of buttons on the fob and switched it off. Its the model with the fob like this... Thanks, Gareth
  24. Used mine last night to pick up 5 big bales of bark chipping for the garden. Fitted great with the back seat down. Was like having bought traction control for only 25 quid when driving it home after, with all that extra weight!
