  1. Does anyone know what the method is to retax a car if you haven't yet received the new V5 from the DVLA?. I bought another 300zx earlier in the month but the tax expired at the weekend. As I haven't got the V5 through with my details on yet, I'm not sure how I can renew? Cheers...
  2. Going to see them in Manchester in November, can't wait...
  3. Just seen this on z-club: http://www.zclub.net/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=1460 Worth £5K all day long in my opinion
  4. Believe it or not but I saw the magazine for sale in a book store in Toronto last year, they had a huge section of imported magazines... :)
  5. Just thought I would let people know that this months Japanese Performance magazine has the 300ZX feature starring our very own FunkySi. It's a six page profile of the 300ZX and has lots of very good photos and write up. Go buy it now! We also get a good plug for the club as well! p.s. There is also a free Retro-Jap magazine included with it and the 300ZX is one of 8 cars listed as future classics (no sign of any Supras, Skylines or GTOs!!! :duffer: )
  6. Got it for the PC but only just started to play it. Its visually very impressive but too early to say how good the gameplay is.
  7. Does it do it more when you first drive the car and then reduces as the car is warming up? If so its likely to be the centre prop bearing, very common on 300zx's. You tend to feel it through the seat rather than through the steering wheel. Do a search and you'll find loads of info. Gareth
  8. Alloy wheels CAN go porous over time, my Dad had a MG Metro Turbo that had 2 porous alloys. He had tubes put in them but got rid of the car not long after.
  9. I have renewed my membership this morning by Paypal after being just a registered user for a few months...:o Paypal transaction ID Number 71T30557TD606644M Many thanks, Gareth Brown.
  10. Hmmmm ... kill two birds with one stone and go to the Bunbury Arms in Stoak, about 2 miles away from the zoo. It's a really nice 'traditional' pub, but also does great food. On the other hand, if you are staying in Chester city centre, there are loads of good places to choose from. Pastarazzi is meant to be nice (although I think it'[s overrated); Egos does good meditteranean food, La Tasca is great for tapas; Chez Jules is a great rustic French restaurant - as is Franc's (but they charge extra for veg ... so the bill soon mounts up); Moules a Go-Go is a good Belgian restuarant that specialises in mussels - the list is really long! If you are going to Cheshire Oaks Outlet Village then there are lots of big-chain eating places near there - TGIFridays (if you can bear it), Nandos, Mezze, Old Orleans, and an all-you-can-eat Chinese Buffet called Elements (although it's pretty dire sometimes, it is endless buffet so suits some folk) Hope this is of use
  11. Most are tiptronic gearboxes which may not be to everyones taste. I also believe they are quite heavy as they are more of a touring car.
  12. I was with Wanadoo and quite happy until Orange swallowed them up. We had no internet access for nearly 6 weeks at the beginning of the year and not once could they give us a reason why. Spoke to about a dozen different people in India and UK and kept getting fobbed off. In the end we cancelled and went with Sky as it was free for us as we have Sky TV. That has been 100% so far and I'm very pleased. We did get £60 compensation (eventually) after the wife ripped a customer services manager to bits over the phone. No apology or explanation was ever given though. STEER WELL CLEAR!!!
  13. Have a look at this... http://www.junauto.co.jp/products/cylinderblock-part/crankshaft/vg30.html?en Gareth
  14. I had checked the facts mate, hence the response...
  15. I doubt the fella is going to rest in peace, he strangled his wife and then smothered his 7 year old son... Rot in hell more like...
  16. Could try here... http://www.potn.co.uk/c2750_3589_4281_5340_p2114374.htm
  17. This is terrible news, I didn't know Jay personally but he always came over as being a nice guy and a true enthusiast. Rest in peace buddy... Gareth & family
  18. I've been into them for a couple of years, excellent rock band. You should check out the last couple of albums, Infinity Land and The Vertigo of Bliss -there are some brilliant songs on them...
  19. Its HD compatible but not HD ready. A proper HD ready tv needs to have a resolution of 1366x768 pixels or higher to be truely HD ready. With this being a 42" screen the picture will look grainy unless you sit a good 10 feet away.
  20. I have it and TBH its much better than the Orange/Wanadoo pack I had. Its costs me nowt because I already have a Sky+ subscription and I get a faster connection and download limit than I did paying £17.99 a month to Orange for. The only thing I paid for was the initial connection fee and you get a wireless router chucked in that would normally cost £60 anyway. I'm happy (so far, touches several wooden objects with everything crossed...)
  21. Pretty sure its a sporty concept based on the Nissan Tilda, which is the sort of replacement for the Almera. The Tilda is coming to the UK later this year/early next year, but it looks a LOT more mundane than this!
  22. I may come along, was hoping to have a new car by then but may just have to turn up in the Zafira :x: Will let you know by the end of the week. Gareth
  23. Check the fusible link box by the brake master cylinder, it may be that the big 100A loop wire in there has blown, or possibly one of the links themselves.
  24. I may be missing something here but surely if this post is having a pop at someone in a non-friendly way, it is a breach of the AUP? Seems a bit rich that the members are being told to stick to the AUP in commenting on this issue, when a potential infringement of it caused this whole problem in the first place... my 2p's worth
