  1. Silver Import Zed with 'old style' private plate ending in H. High level rear spoiler, single exhaust and sounded like an auto. You were heading towards Queensferry from the motorway junction, I followed you for a couple of miles in my red Zed before turning off for Chester. Not seen you before....
  2. Doesn't it depend on whether you have auto/manual or LWB/SWB though? Or is it one type for all applications? I also need to do mine...
  3. Its always the quiet ones... ;)
  4. Its very pleasant here in Chester... wont last though :x:
  5. Just been going through some of my old stuff on my PC and came across a video clip called 'Getaway in Japan' which I'd forgotten about. Its a pretty good 4 minute clip with a red zed racing a Skyline R32 on what looks like the Tokyo main ring road. Have you all seen this? Its an essential bit of Zed film in my opinion, I will see if I can find a link on the intrament for you all to see it. Gareth
  6. I had an ECG thingy last year and an ultrasound sort of test last year. If I remember right the ECG is the one where they stick suckers on your chest and sensors on your pulse points - not uncomfortable but I had some interesting perfectly round bruises for a week or so. The 'ultrasound' test was more bizarre though - used the same kit they use on pregnant women so I could actually watch my heart beating and the valves opening and closing on the screen!!! Weird sh!t I can tell you. Again though, nothing to it. I have to say its best to know for sure whats going on though, mine wasn't anything like yours - mine was to check a physical abnormality with my heart. Turns out my plumbing is different to the norm but it all works ok  Good luck to you.
  7. these look like a good deal for someone...(if only I had some money :headvswal ) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BK555-18-WHEELS-TYRES-SKYLINE-SUPRA-EVO-GTO_W0QQitemZ8054216572QQcategoryZ9888QQcmdZViewItem

  9. don't have one but my missus goes absolutely nuts if she hears Dee'lites 'Groove is in the heart'. She's been known to knock people over at weddings because of that :x: Please don't tell her i told you......
  10. Good stuff! Its good to see that something constructive is being done about this. I had mine FINALLY turn up yesterday but am very disappointed with both the delay and quality of the calender. Thanks to Macca for stepping in to sort out reimbursement. Gareth

  12. dunno, will have to see what the weathers like, but possibly.
  13. I know the one you're on about Scoops, its a cavalier. I had the unfortunate honour of parking next to it about a month ago. Even the missus said it looked like a heap of sh!te... :x:
  14. One here, paid by bank transfer... Gareth
  15. told you so :D Who ever said you need technical knowledge to work on these cars? Brute force and ignorance can get you there in the end! Glad you sorted it mate.
  16. Wife had literally just arrived home from a 3 day business trip in Amsterdam. She'd have cut my *****x off if I'd have turned around and said 'hello dear, I'm off out now - see you later' :wack: :D Of course I DO wear the trousers in our house... :x:
  17. Well, have now done the resistor bypass to see if that solves the problem. Will give the car a run tonight to check. Fingers crossed that it works! Thanks for all the advice guys - I'll post the outcome later. Gareth
  18. If all else fails you can just get a hammer on it and smash the old one to bits until you are left with just the bit which screws into the boss. You can then just get a normal 22mm long reach socket on it. I had to do this on one of mine as it was as solid as a rock. Its drastic, but it worked for me and I think it was someone on here that suggested it (so I can't be the only one thats done it :D )
  19. The car is definately going into safety boost, my aftermarket gauge is showing exactly 7psi and the car is physically slower on acceleration. Maybe the JWT does have a det map then? Its one of the chip that Danny used to sell before he started doing his own.
  20. As said earlier I am hitting 12psi on my aftermarket gauge and the difference is very noticable, the car picks up much quicker especially on a rolling start. I do have 1mm jets as well but I am increasing the boost gradually to ensure nothing goes pop.
  21. The cars running a JWT chip with 1.2mm boost jets, normally runs perfectly happy at around 12psi.
  22. Thanks Paul, thats what I thought but wanted to be 100% sure before considering doing the resistor bypass. Gareth
  23. I have had my car drop into safety boost twice in the last couple of days. Now I have checked the ecu and got a code 34 response. What I want to know is: whether the ecu stores the code when the sensor is doing its job and sensing detonation, or is it that the sensor has a fault and in actual fact the car is running fine?. I hope that makes sense. There is no sound to imply that the engine is detting - its sounds nice and smooth with no rattling. Can someone clear up my confusion? Cheers.
  24. Have you got a Buck & Hickman close to you? I got mine from there for around £10-£12 +vat (they had to order it in for me but it was still a next day order). HTH Gareth
  25. You should have received the money by now as my bank is Lloyds TSB as well. They said it should only take 24 hours????
