  1. That price is per wheel though (ie $1800ish for 4 + delivery&tax), if I'm reading it correctly. Demon Tweeks also sell these, might be worth getting a quote from them as well. HTH Gareth
  2. The wife paid my renewal subscription yesterday by bank transfer. She did it via phone banking though so didn't use my user name as the reference. You should see the transfer coming through today from our joint account though. If you need any further information to confirm the transfer was from me then can you post here and I'll provide it. Thanks, Gareth Brown
  3. Try everything at least once, at least then you'll know...
  4. They are both on there ??!! SWB at top, LWB below. HTH
  5. I have in my garage a totally original RD350LC2 (the first YPVS model). Only 9000 miles on the clock as well!. I'm guessing it must be worth a few quid now. It was one of my stepdads bikes which I took when he died a couple of years ago. He also had a totally original RD350 earlier type like the piccy above - that needed work though.
  6. Would have liked to have come to this but will be in China! Maybe the next one though...
  7. Yes they do but they are ferkin' expensive. I paid about £7 each for a couple last year. I don't have the part no. but I just took one in with me and they I.D.'d it from that.

Are you sure that this Veilside system replaces that factory ECU system?, I don't think they ever did a standalone ECU for the Zed. Have a look at the ECU box under the passenger side footwell, should be a gold coloured box about 6" square by about 2" deep. If it still has a standard ECU box (whether it be modified with an aftermarket chip or not), you should be able to run the self diagnostics to at least see whether there are any fault codes showing. If it has a completely non-standard ecu, then it would be a specialist job unfortunately.
  9. There's lots of things wrong with Vauxhalls!! :x: My first car is one! and I won't be buying another... :smash:
  10. still not received mine???
  11. Will do, though did meet kirbz just before xmas when I bought some bits off him. I'll be easy to spot, just look for the shabby red 300zx!!! :x:
  12. Thanks Mike, Hopefully see you there... Gareth
  13. The missus has told me that I can go along to this  :) Does anyone have directions or a postcode?? Also, what time do people tend to get there?? Cheers, Gareth
  14. Your discs must be 26mm, not 25mm(dont exist) The "26mm Aluminum" calipers were used ONLY on 1989-1990 non-turbos. They used a 280mm x 26mm rotor. The "30mm Aluminum" calipers were used on 1989-1990 Twin-turbos and ALL 1991-1992.5 300ZX's (both turbo and non-turbo alike). They used a 280mm x 30mm rotor. The "30mm Iron" calipers were used on ALL 1992.5 onward 300ZX's (both turbo and non-turbo alike). They also used the 280mm x 30mm rotor. Is this also right for the UK cars? Mines a 1990 and definitely has the iron calipers on it. I doubt that they have ever been swapped either. Maybe this just applies to the imports
  15. email address is iamgbrown "at" yahoo.co.uk obviously change the "at" to @ :) Thanks very muchly
  16. Does anyone know of a shareware or 'free' piece of software that will convert divx to another format? I have been given the first 11 episodes of Lost series 2 but they are divx formatted which my dvd player doesn't like. I need to convert them into another format (vcd/mpeg etc.), but can't find a program suitable.   Cheers, Gareth
  17. Now paid by bank transfer, ref: Gareth Brown. Will PM my address to you now. Thanks very much for doing this, Gareth
  18. Going to the bank this lunchtime to do the transfer for this. Cheers Gareth
  19. Just a post script to this. I replaced the offending wheel studs after Jeff gave me the warning and that does seem to have sorted the problem. I suggest everyone should check this from time to time as I only did a few hundred miles between fitting the rear wheel and this problem cropping up (the wheel was correctly torqued up as well). If your zed is a daily driver it could be a problem at any time  Gareth
  20. With the engine running disconnect the coil pack plugs one at a time, you should notice a change in the sound of the engine on all but the dodgy cylinder. HTH Gareth
  21. Nice car, like the 2 tone paint.

I would hazard a guess that because you replaced the radiator then there is likely to be an airlock in the cooling system. Try bleeding the system by raising the front end of the car a bit and run the engine with the heater set on 40, topping up the radiator as you go. Don't know if the Koyo rads have a bleed hole like the normal rad, but if it does then open that whilst your topping up, you will probably see loads of air escaping. my 2p's worth... Gareth
  23. If its a UK car and its been stood outside, then best give it a good once over underneath and around the sills and arches for the dreaded tin worm. Perished bushes on the suspension components as well maybe.
