Got my MOT in an hour!
It passed! :hyper: Couple of adviserys but nothing of any concern, slight play in one ball joint and an engine oil leak which I knew about anyhow. Just need to finish fitting my 99 spec spoiler now!

changing a FPR
Couldn't you just pull the fuseable link under the bonnet? That would have the same effect without the hassle of emptying the boot. HTH

Greddy FMIC vs Copy FMIC
Take a look at the image at the top of the link below, it just about shows that the front mounts are embossed with the logo. http://www.trust-power.com/04cooling/intercooler_R.html Though with the way you come over in this thread, I am not sure why I looked for you to be honest...

who's working today?
I'm stuck in work, we are in the middle of a shutdown and I am the duty Purchasing Manager for the day. So far had precisely 0 calls. Oh well, getting well paid to surf the interweb and listen to music.... ;)

Battery chargers?
I've just bought that exact same one. Does exactly what I want it to. My battery drains quite quickly due to something drawing a small current somewhere. This charger is great as you can just leave it switched on and it will charge automatically when the battery voltage drops beyond a certain level. I paid about £13 all in for it. Gareth

HELP...Thinking about a 350 Z !!!
I am considering one of these as a daily driver, I can't have the 350Z as I have a child so need the back seat. Same engine & chassis as the 350Z, lots of them are tiptronic (though I'd be after a manual), and more are starting to be available now. Known as the Skyline 350GT (or Infiniti G35 in the USA).

New car for my sis?
Honda Civic - lots around which are autos, 1.4, 1.5 or 1.6 engines available, plenty of 5 doors around, bulletproof reliability and tend to have been owned by an 84 year old called Reg so likely to be in good condition.

Potentially daft electrical question
Need a second opinion on this please. I have been having a problem with the battery on the Zed going flat quite quickly (car isn't in regular use, but is kept garaged). So I recharged & left the battery with the negative terminal disconnected for a couple of nights to tell if the battery was the problem. Checked it last night and the voltage had dropped to 10volts which wasn't enough to even turn the engine over. So does this sound like a duff battery then? There isn't any way that a parasitic power drain can cause the voltage drop if the circuit is left open (as far as I am aware!), is there?. I have tested for a power drain to the best of my ability using the amps setting on my multimeter but couldn't detect anything of significance. Don't want to go buying another battery and find the problem is still there if I can avoid it. Cheers...

newbie....silly questions im sure..
Convertibles were only ever available as a non-turbo automatic. You could always go for a manual conversion though (approx 1.5K fitted)
