Reconditioning wheels
I don't know if these guys are any good: http://www.alloywheelrepair.co.uk/ A bit out of the way for you though. I image there must be places in London that would do it.

great colour
Mmm... radically tasteless.

Courting controversy...
I know there's a lot of people on here don't like Supras, and I must admit I'm pretty fussy about them myself -- there are plenty of rough examples out there, and there is quite a strong tendency towards the "2 Fast 2 Furious" effect. However, you have to admit that this: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=49114 is a *nice* car. If I had the money I'd buy it right now (sorry, letting the side down I know).

Anyone know what these Rear Lights are??
Hmm... not a fan. Trouble is with all these after market lights (or at least all the ones I've seen) that they look like they're not part of the car, kind of bolted on or something.
-
Kind of expensive (and ruined IMHO)...
Well, each to their own... but I totally agree with the comments above.

99 spec rear lights
I wouldn't worry. I didn't notice either.

Just lost a good friend
That's rough. Sorry to hear about it.

Just seen this on Autotrader: http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/www/CARS_popup.asp?modelexact=1&lid=search_used_cars_full&make=NISSAN&model=300+ZX&variant=&keywords=&min_pr=75&max_pr=10000&mileage=&agerange=&postcode=cb4+2as&miles=1500&max_records=200&source=0&photo=1&sort=5&ukcarsearch_full=SEARCH&start=6&distance=208&adcategory=CARS&channel=CARS&id=200542210691980 Bit expensive for an NA I reckon... and it's got one of *those* spoilers on it. You know the ones I mean.

bargain of the year?
Nice car though mate. You have to keep that in perspective.

99 ron petrol has (finally) arrived nr Cambridge...
Well I've only driven about two miles with it in so don't know yet. It's a bit cheaper than Optimax, but not much. I think Optimax is 100.9 - 101.9 around here, and the Tesco stuff was either 97.9 or 98.9 - can't remember which.

converting a swb z to a full convertible
It's an interesting look, I'll give you that.

Tracking little knobheads
I dunno what this PM business is all about because I don't have one either. Be very glad to see the back of DD and his chums though.

Loose gearstick
Sorry, posted this: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=58586 in the wrong forum. Gearstick's loose. Any advice much appreciated. Found a good article at http://www.ttzd.com/tech/bushingstech.html which seems to cover most of it, but was wondering where the best place was to get the bits from. Also, is it worth fitting a short-shifter for anything other than cosmetic reasons? Cheers, Bart

Crap, sorry, just realised I've posted this in the wrong forum. Bart

Loose gearstick
Allrighty... just found this: http://www.ttzd.com/tech/bushingstech.html on another post. Sounds like the solution for the problem I'm experiencing. Anyone know the best place to get the bits from? Also, do you think it's worthwhile fitting a short-shifter whilst I'm at it? Does it do any good for the car or is it purely aesthetic / helpful for quicker gear changes on the track? Cheers, Bart

Loose gearstick
Hi everyone, I've only just noticed this, although I guess it's possible it's always been like it and I've just been particularly unobservant. I can easily waggle the gearstick from side to side when the car is in gear (any gear) almost as if it were in neutral. There's no problem with getting the car in gear or changing gear though - all seems to be working fine. But just the stick feels a bit on the loose side. So first off, is this normal? If not what's likely to be the problem? I did a quick search of the forum and saw some posts mentioning bushes, but TBH didn't really understand what people were talking about. And obviously, if there is a problem what do I need to do to fix it, and how much is it likely to cost roughly? Thanks everyone, Bart

Not sure how many people will find this useful but you can now get it at the Milton branch of Tesco just off the A14. Don't know about Bar Hill but will check next time I'm passing there (might not be for a while though - that section of the A14 sucks beyond belief so I generally try to avoid it at all costs).

Bugatti Veyron
Forgot-> It is a fantastic motor.

Bugatti Veyron
Be nice if there was a lot less of that tedious bloke talking on the video, and a *lot* more shots of the car actually being driven.

new nissan
Lovely looking car. Bit like a new Mustang at the back in terms of the spoiler and general line, although the lights are completely different... oh yeah, and it's not a complete piece of junk American car with a live axle etc. Sorry, sound bitter, but it's just early and I still haven't woken up properly.

1200 BHP Lambo
Oh I don't know, a bit 80s looking perhaps, but at least it doesn't have a ridiculously large spoiler (not that I've got anything against spoilers, just on Lambos I don't think they look good). Do agree about the new ones though: the Murcielago (hope I've spelt that right) is tough to beat on looks.

still havent got my car back yet!!
Youch!! Now that's a bill you wouldn't want to get landed with. Don't think you'll have any problems though to be honest. Hope the bits turn up soon.
-
still havent got my car back yet!!
I'm with Norwich Union Direct, so if you're not with them I'd imagine you're probably OK. TBH I think they would have told you when they gave you the car anyway (hopefully that isn't showing too much faith in insurers).

That's extremely galling. Sorry to hear it mate, I'd be seriously gutted if I was without mine for that long... plus I don't have a fallback so I'd be completely scuppered as well (my insurance only gives me a courtesy car for the first week because mines classified as a "grey" import I think).
