Anyone bought a psp today?
Yeah, I got fed up with the marketing hype, and if what you're saying is true, this gets up my nose even more. Went into a store a while ago to see if I could get one. Not out yet. Then why all the adverts, boxes etc?!? I may be the only whinging old git in the place, but I'm really getting fed up of this kind of corporate marketing campaign - it doesn't increase my anticipation at all, it just frustrates me, and is generally really infuriating. Anyway, have subsequently decided that I have little enough life as it is, and what little is left will definitely disappear if I get one of these things... so it's probably for the best.

Metallic Blue Z Pictures please
Excellent, thanks.

And sombody bought it???
I didn't read any of the following posts, just clicked on the eBay link and had a look. I was sitting here thinking, "OK, so it's a cruddy old beemer, so what's the big deal?"... and then of course I saw the picture from the rear. Genuinely unbelievable.

NZR - I know we moan a lot about our roads...
Too true, but I think the latter are down to local authorities, whereas motorways fall directly under the remit of the Highways Agency. Might be wrong about that though.

NZR - I know we moan a lot about our roads...
... but the fact they managed to resurface and reopen the affected section of the M25 so quickly after this is pretty impressive.

Hi Kay, It is indeed a great looking car. As per craig-s's post above, any idea how much the respray cost? Is Davido140 still around to ask? Cheers, Bart

Ouch! That is one lucky driver. I'm assuming s/he got out OK.

5 th gear manual box questions
I've noticed this when changing from 4th - 5th at above 80-90mph. Never had any problems with any other gears. Just keeping the clutch in for a moment longer to allow the revs / boost pressure to drop down a bit solves it for me.

Boost noise
Yeah, I get a bit of turbo noise: not much mind you, but you can hear them if you're paying attention. Asked about this a while back, because if you look around the 'net you might be led to believe that the turbos are absolutely silent (unless you're going through a tunnel), which I've become convinced is not entirely accurate. That said, you shouldn't get a lot of noise I think.

20" alloys
Karl, your car looks great as it is. I'd go for 19s. 20s will give you haemerrhoids (I'll bet I've spelt that wrong) for sure as suggested by Chunk's post. But at the end of the day, I guess if the worst comes to the worst you can just sell them if you don't like them.

Ok, so just how unreliable are these cars....
It is. I'm not one of the established members here, so I ask that those of you who are would forgive me if I'm speaking out of turn. You guys (Brett, Paul) need to deal with this in court, and not on this forum. Even if you're not going down the legal route you need to deal with this in private. Not to mention the fact that this kind of carrying on could potentially prejudice your case against eachother. Please stop.

Ok, so just how unreliable are these cars....
You just need to look around a bit and find a decent one. I've had mine for 6 months now, done 4000 miles in it (which is slightly more than I wanted to do), and had no problems so far. I was at a party speaking to a friend of a friend about the car, which he was admiring as it was parked outside. He's a mechanic, used to work for Nissan, and worked on a few zeds. Even had to do a full engine rebuild on one with 180k on the clock. His impression was that they're very reliable if you're not into performance modding, and since this is where a lot of the problems arise, if you're intending to go down this route you need to be prepared (and have the cash) to fix the problems as they arise.

How many forum members...
Yeah, that's spot on.... oh rats, that makes me one of those 13 people near the bottom. Curses.

Metallic Blue Z Pictures please
Yeah, I'd love to know that too. But if it is Kay's car, he bought it from somebody else in the forum, and for the life of me I can't remember who at the moment, and it was that colour when he bought it. Don't blame you. :)
-
Ouch
Well... they do say it takes all sorts.

That top one is Kay's car isn't it? Absolutely stunning. Bayside blue is a great colour... looks much better than on a scooby as well. I think the lack of gold alloys probably helps too.

Bearded hippy muppet!
Sorry to hear this mate. I live in dread of the day something like this happens. The annoying thing is that it's almost an inevitability. Can very much understand where you're coming from: like I say, I hate parking in any public car park nowadays.

tbars
I've had my zed about 6 months now, and haven't had any problem with this. It's been outside in all kinds of weather as I'm sure you can imagine. I do have a cover for it that I use quite a lot, but that's more because after 3 hours cleaning it I don't want it instantly dirtied by foul weather, than to keep the water from leaking through the t-tops. If you haven't got a garage that might be worth a thought if you're particularly worried about it. I've *never* noticed any water coming in whilst driving, even when it's been hurling it down on the motorway.

Traumatic day :(
Blimey mate, that's awful. Really sorry to hear about it, and just very glad your wife and daughter are going to be OK, and hopefully everybody else as well. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Sounds like the driver of the Galaxy probably just lost it in the heat of the moment, which is kind of understandable: I wouldn't get too worried about it at this stage, at least everybody came out of it alive.

PMSL @ this ebay Porsche....
That's true. Some of the piccies are great, and it's all right if you don't read too many of the comments. However I don't think I've encountered a more spiteful and unpleasant website: it's just full of people hurling abuse at eachother. Clearly that never happens here. :b

I must admit that I hate parking in any sort of public car park now, because as you point out the spaces just aren't wide enough in a lot of them, even if you park dead centre. However, I've not gone to the length of taking up two spaces, primarily because I think it gives quite a negative impression of people who drive zeds, and sports cars in general (not saying I don't sympathise with your point though). There just is this idea though that if you drive a nice car it automatically makes you an arrogant tosser, even though this is clearly not the case, so I try to avoid doing anything to reinforce that... well, apart from taking *extreme* pleasure in overtaking Sunday drivers, tourists, lorries, caravans etc, etc. :) But you know what I'm saying.

Enough is enough
Couldn't agree more.

Nice Zed!
Yep. Definitely a very nice looking car.

Oops, sorry, I meant spinsky, not Andy.
