  1. Yeah, all these people doing they're interiors are giving me ideas too. Probably shouldn't but I've always quite like alcantra (yeah, I know, kerching), but I guess we'll see.
  2. Looks great so far. Is that a kit?
  3. That's just amazing! ...In all of the wrong ways.
  4. No! Don't do it (please)!
  5. They're generally OK for the first 3 - 4 years (and they are nice cars to drive, they're comfortable, stylish etc)... but if you get near 70,000 miles get rid of it.
  6. I had a normal Clio at one point (1.6 8v RXE). Would never buy another French car. It was basically OK for 70,000 miles, and then it all started to go pear-shaped in a big way. £2000 spent in one year. No thanks, not again.
  7. I think I know that car. Got green / orange vinyls on it right?
  8. That looks great. The interior's particulary fantastic! Like the wide-arch kit, although it would never work for me because there's a road with a width-restriction that I sometimes have to go down and it just wouldn't fit. Oh well.
  9. THAT I would have like to see. LOL.
  10. Very nice indeed! Is that a '99 spec front? Sorry, not too clear on such matters.
  11. It's interesting. Quite a division of opinion on this. I'm quite a fan of the original lights, although wouldn't mind if there were LED strip replacements. I'm definitely not a fan of any of the round lights out there, but that's really just a matter of taste and only my opinion. I don't even really dig the '99 spec lights: prefer smoked, but obviously it depends a lot on the colour of your car. Smoked look great on black or white cars, but I can see that '99 spec look better on some other colours. Not a straightforward decision at any rate.
  12. That sounds familiar. Went to a family do recently for an elderly aunt who'd come over from Canada. Was OK for a couple of hours, then another elderly relative cranked up with, "I'll never be able to forgive {name} for not....", and off they go. And they're all wittering away about how terrible {name} was, and then my dad joins in, and it just turns into gutless malice-fest 2005. Got a family barbecue in a couple of weeks, and I'm already dreading it. :-S
  13. It's a sad state of affairs for sure. Got to agree about the car too: that's sweet, and I'm not even normally a big fan of carbon fibre bonnets. That looks great though.
  14. The Lambo: either the original Countach is one butt-ugly car, or that kit is an awful copy. You decide, but I'm plumping for the latter. Naive question: with the amount of cash you must have to spend to finish assembling one of these kits and get it looking even half decent surely you might as well just go out and buy one of the real thing? The problem with MR2 conversions for the Ferrari is that, well basically you can always tell that it's really an MR2. That and the fact that it looks like it's been assembled in somebody's shed always gives it away. AND another thing. If you REALLY want supercar performance and you're willing to spend some cash (which basically as far as I can see you are if you get one of these kits), then why not buy a zed, or a supra, or a Skyline, or an 80s Corvette or 90s Camaro, or even a flaming GTO for goodness sake. I mean jeez, it's not like there aren't a ton of alternatives. I can only conclude that I'm missing something very crucial here.
  15. Fair shout. I think that's probably a good idea. Cheers mate, Bart

  17. Think I'm gonna puke. Grim.
  18. Would this be any good for other insurers? (Definitely not planning to write my zed off BTW, I'm very fond of it, but a mate at work had quite a serious accident yesterday just leaving the carpark because somebody pulled out in front of him from a junction, so it's kind of at the forefront of my mind).
  19. Indeed.
  20. DB9 all the way. Absolutely stunning car.
  21. I guess it might have replacement doors from an older zed fitted (in which case one has to ask why), but my money's on it being a '92 or earlier. I've got an early '93 (K plate) and the seat belts are very firmly attached to the B pillar. Bart
  22. Mate, you want to get on top of that right now or you're going to be up to your neck in it.
  23. That Mustang's great as well BTW.
