Woman and OAP Drivers.....CANT DRIVE 4 S**T
Well, to some extent I agree although I think pointing the finger at women and OAPs is probably just a wee bit unfair... well perhaps not so much the OAPs, a lot of them learned to drive when cars were a lot slower and the roads a lot emptier and they haven't really kept up with the pace of change. However the fact is that there are bad drivers out: lots of them, both men and women of all ages. They're a pain in the arse, they get in the way and their casual and unthinking negligence and incompetence can really get up my nose. E.g. those nice roundabouts with the lanes that spiral out from the centre to show you where you need to be to come off at a particular exit: how hard can it be to drive between the white lines? I mean really, how difficult can it actually be? If it can be done in a zed or a Ford Transit van how hard can it really be to pull off in a Fiat or a Rover (or whatever)? However, I have learned over a period of some years (cos' I really did used to be Mr Road Rage) that you either (i) go with it and just drive with the assumption that every other road user is teetering on the brink of doing something really stupid, or (ii) die of a stress-induced heart attack. Seriously, I agree, there are plenty of people who probably shouldn't be allowed to drive, and the driving test should probably be significantly more difficult... and it would be nice if they could teach you something useful like how to park in a multi-storey carpark with narrow spaces and limited room for manuevre (I discovered my inability to do this shortly after getting my first car - no longer a problem I'm happy to say) ... and proper lane discipline come to that. But it's just not worth getting wound up about: you're gonna bust an artery.

Famous Zs - probably been spotted before but...
... during the credits at the end of Kill Bill Volume 2 immediately after the credit for Lucy Liu (O-Ren Ishii aka Cottonmouth) and Sonny Chiba (Hattori Hanzo) the next clip shows a dark blue Z32 moving into shot from the left-hand side of the screen being driven by Julie Dreyfus (Sofie Fatale) so this car must also appear in Volume 1 although I honestly can't remember since it's so long since I've seen the first part.

No, but I want one. Right now. :)

What was your 1st ever car????
Really dull: '98 Renault Clio 1.6 RXE. Wish I'd gone for something a bit daft and cheaper (like an old BMW or something). Still, I guess I'm making up for it now. ;)

NZR - Dream rides in my village
Well I reckon if I could afford a Ferrari I could afford the entry fee... and it does sound like a bit of a laugh. Was thinking of doing Staples 2 Naples or Home 2 Rome this year with some mates but I've got a trade show around that time so it'll probably be next year. (Entry fee isn't £10000, I think it's around £50 - you've got to get from Staples corner in London to Naples in a car worth £100 or less, similar thing for Home to Rome except it starts in Calais.) 350Z ??uncool??
TBH there isn't much I disagree with about the uncool wall... except why is there only one Hyundai model listed on it? They're all mingers (yes, including the coupe - sorry to anyone who owns one). I'd take the 300ZX over the 350Z any day of the week but then OTOH if somebody offered to give me a 350Z I wouldn't turn them down.... ... ... Oh no, I've just had a look at the cool cars wall. Maybe I am starting to violently disagree with this thing after all. The Audi A3 is a cool car?!? Hello? And somebody needs to explain to me why the Hyundai Coupe is in that list: it's a slow-arsed 165 bhp hunk of dog turd pretending to be a sports car. And the Honda Jazz, what's that all about? Nothing wrong with it at all - very practical and economical and not horrendous in the looks department... but cool? I don't think so. Anyway I'm going to stop at this point because I can feel a full on rant coming on and that's just not going to be good for anyone, especially me.

Another Firefox security update
Yep, some sort of update service along the lines of Windows update would be just ideal.

Tvr Cerbera
My friends' next door neighbour has one of those things in red: it's in great nick but the engine sounds like a box full of spanners being shaken up. It's why I don't like TVRs very much: noisy, uncouth, unreliable and half the models are just butt ugly. Sorry, I know this probably means I have no soul but my perfect car would have at least 700 bhp and be completely silent (never gonna happen, but you can dream). I like easy power and stuff that just works without making a big fuss.

Blue Z, H40 xxx (custom plate), 7pm Quy roundabout with A14
You flashed past me as I was waiting to come onto the roundabout and headed off towards Lode through Quy and I came tearing up behind you (in the black Z) through the traffice lights off the roundabout to see if I recognised the car as belonging to anyone on here. When you turned left to go to Lode I turned right towards Bottisham.

Opinions on Golf Cabriolet
This might be better (although the roof still isn't great): http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/www/CARS_popup.asp?modelexact=1&lid=search_used_cars_full&make=VOLKSWAGEN&model=GOLF&min_pr=75&max_pr=1000&mileage=&agerange=&postcode=cb4+2as&miles=1500&max_records=200&source=0&photo=1&sort=5&ukcarsearch_full=SEARCH&start=1&distance=221&adcategory=CARS&channel=CARS&id=200517191469124 http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/www/CARS_popup.asp?modelexact=1&lid=search_used_cars_full&make=VOLKSWAGEN&model=GOLF&min_pr=75&max_pr=1000&mileage=&agerange=&postcode=cb4+2as&miles=1500&max_records=200&source=0&photo=1&sort=5&ukcarsearch_full=SEARCH&start=2&distance=111&adcategory=CARS&channel=CARS&id=200504179565051 Don't know where you are though so might be no good anyway. Or, how about these, er, bad boys: http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/www/CARS_popup.asp?modelexact=1&lid=search_used_cars_full&make=FORD&model=ESCORT&min_pr=75&max_pr=1000&mileage=&agerange=&postcode=cb4+2as&miles=1500&max_records=200&source=0&photo=1&sort=5&ukcarsearch_full=SEARCH&start=9&distance=71&adcategory=CARS&channel=CARS&id=200517191340923 http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/www/CARS_popup.asp?modelexact=1&lid=search_used_cars_full&make=FORD&model=ESCORT&min_pr=75&max_pr=1000&mileage=&agerange=&postcode=cb4+2as&miles=1500&max_records=200&source=0&photo=1&sort=5&ukcarsearch_full=SEARCH&start=10&distance=273&adcategory=CARS&channel=CARS&id=200517191473612 And this one's just for a laugh cos' I can't quite believe anybody would go to all the bother of doing all that to a car with a 1.1 litre engine (actually I didn't even think the Escort ever came with such a small engine so I'm slightly dubious as to whether this is right): http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/www/CARS_popup.asp?modelexact=1&lid=search_used_cars_full&make=FORD&model=ESCORT&min_pr=75&max_pr=1000&mileage=&agerange=&postcode=cb4+2as&miles=1500&max_records=200&source=0&photo=1&sort=5&ukcarsearch_full=SEARCH&start=5&distance=102&adcategory=CARS&channel=CARS&id=200519192004445

Any ideas on the best "3" mobile phone???
Justin, Coincidentally I know three people (all good friends) who've used 3 and they've had universally bad experiences: signal drop-out, poor quality phones, truly appalling coverage, interference and piercing earsplittingly loud shrill background noise. My housemate went with them and his handset didn't work from the off. Took around 6 months to get the money he'd paid back off of them: their customer service is truly appalling. DON'T DO IT!! They're cheap (which is obviously the attraction) and the deals seem to be good but their quality of service and coverage is awful. What's the point of paying less for a phone if you can't rely on being able to use it? Anyway, just my two-pence worth. At the end of the day it's your money and it's up to you. Hope it all works out. Cheers, Bart

WTF have they done to this zed??
Actually those doors are the only way I WOULD be able to get out in the garage: my Z has standard doors and whilst I can get it in the garage there's no way I can get out of it unless I've first removed the roof. UK garages!! Pah! This is one thing the Americans very definitely do right: garages wide enough to fit a decent sized car it.
-
WTF have they done to this zed??
Yeah, I've seen worse. It's really only that spoiler and those wheels that make it look bad (the rest of the styling is a bit aggressive for my taste but OK). Not such a fan of the beige interior and those cheapy looking dials either... but like I said, I've seen far worse. Quite like the colour actually.

Overdone body kits!
Erm... and it's a 1.8... and he wants 7 grand for it. 7 grand?!?? SEVEN GRAND?!?? Why, why, why, why, WHY?!?? It's a chuffing 1.8 Focus, the kind of car my mum might drive (if she could drive, which she can't, but the point still stands) not even an RS or an ST 170. Still I suppose it could be worse: he could have spent that £6k on a zed and completely ruined that with £18ks worth of terrible mods. Sorry, rant over. It's kind of late.
-
Was it you?
I'm with that, although I don't think there are really that many zeds out there to be honest. I drove around 500 miles this weekend and didn't see a single one (apart from mine obviously). I know there's somebody else with one in Cambridge (silver) because I've seen him driving around a couple of times but that's about it.

Ebay Z's
Yep, very wrong indeed.
