  1. Seriously? 350hp? Bugger, there was one of them on autotrader for ages but I didn't bother looking at it because I don't like black alloys. Muppet eh? Seem to remember it was about 5k. What a donkey.
  2. I want two. :D
  3. 45hp?!?? Giving birth to a giraffe.
  4. I totally couldn't be arsed to read all the blurb he's put on there but... has he actually improved the performance? At all?

If you weren't speeding you don't have anything to worry about. Sleep easy.
  7. That's fantastic. I have got to get me one of those. :)

It's a fair point: how on earth would you roll a zed? I bet you could put it sideways on the motorway at 120 mph and all you'd do is make a lot of smoke and put some uneven wear on your tyres (assuming you didn't hit anything of course, including the central reservation)... I don't recommend anyone try this at home incidentally.
  9. Somebody on here was selling their silver one for 5k as I remember. Think it's somewhat tuned.
  10. In which case probably best to buy from somebody on here so that way you'll know what you're getting. There are a couple of highly tuned examples on autotrader for £7k - 8k at the moment, but you'd be a braver man than I to get one methinks.
  11. I agree. That is a seriously quality game. One of the many that keeps tempting me to get a PS2 but I have to resist otherwise my whole life is going to go down the tubes. ;)
  12. I totally agree. People should drive with dipped headlights on in fog. What upsets me even more than the whole sidelights issue though is complete idiots who insist on driving around with their main beams on in the fog at night because they don't have any proper front foglights and don't even bother to switch to dipped when they approach you because they think the fog will stop you getting dazzled. Grr.
  13. Having only looked at the interior of the first one I though, that's OK, a bit stark perhaps but OK and I can see where he's going with the lighting at night... but then I saw the outside. What the heck was he trying to do?!?? Make it even more difficult to fit the thing in his garage?!? Was it not quite wide enough to start off with??!??? Moron!!!! It looks crap! Get thee hence: you shall never be permitted to own a nice car again!! The second one isn't as bad, although the bonnet is just all wrong. Take that away and it would be OK.
  14. It's nice although I'm not too sure about the spoiler. Nice to see a TT manual convertible. I dunno why they didn't make any with this spec in the first place. I suppose there's the fact that driving a convertible at speed is always a noisy experience, but who really cares? All of that said: £25k?!???
  15. I like this one (ignore the supra): I think it's owned by the guy who runs this site: http://www.z32.com/ If you enter the site and click on My Z32 on the right-hand side you can see more pics. Lovely looking car. NA not TT but looks amazing. I want my Z to look like that one day (in my dreams).
  16. Nice yesterday in Cambridge.... don't have my zed though. Plus I'm still getting over the 'flu so not going anywhere. Grr.
  17. Well I bought an import and so far it's been fine. Had a couple of problems which the dealer has sorted out. The car's pretty much stock apart from a turbo timer and after market rims (which have had to be replaced by the dealer and if you've read any of my other threads you'll know why) and in generally good nick. On the fog light front the rear foglight has been fitted inside the centre panel at the back between the two main lighting clusters rather than being attached below the bumper - yep, I hate bolt on fog lights too. I'm guessing this isn't normal but it probably should be because for starters it means that you actually have one as required, and it looks a lot better than the alternatives (bolt-ons). OTOH I did pay 6k so I'm expecting it to be spot on in most respects. If not :smash: :smash: :smash: that's what the warranty's for.
  18. Well I think at one time it probably was a zed, but now....? An ice-cream van? A (white?) hearse? A high-sided limo? No idea. The rest of the pics are here: http://www.300zx-twinturbo.com/pimpz/Default.htm (I think somebody else also posted this above).
  19. That settles it then. I'm not letting anybody from a car stereo shop anywhere near my Z: stuff the warranty on the stereo, sorting out problems on the Z resulting from incompetence could be a lot more hassle and a lot more expensive. Thanks guys. I'll order myself an ISO adapter and an aerial adapter so hopefully I'll be good to go next weekend. Cheers, Bart
  20. See, now that's what happens when you legalise cannabis. It's a crime, but this one is particularly funny:
  21. Thanks, that would be useful. I'm hoping the stereo will arrive before I pick up my zed again next Friday. Daft question: once I've got this fitted does this mean the arial will automatically extend when I switch the stereo on? It doesn't do anything at the moment, but this may well be because the current stereo doesn't work at all (check out my rides section and you'll probably be able to see why). Cheers, Bart
  22. Thanks mate, I think you're probably right. It does grate a bit to hand over cash for something like this.
  23. Get a 2 + 2. There's two fitted as standard in the back. ;)
  24. Hi All, Having bought my zed a few weeks ago with the world's most comedy 80s stereo in it, that incidentally doesn't work anyway, I decided to get a new headunit and maybe some new speakers as I wasn't sure what was already fitted. Anyway, I've now bought a Pioneer DEH-P80MP and am waiting for it to be delivered. Managed to get quite a good deal through a reputable seller on eBay including some 7" speakers and tweeters for less than the price of the headunit alone elsewhere so I'm pretty chuffed. Question is where to get it fitted? And the reason I'm asking is because of the number of electrical problems that seem to be manifesting themselves after people have had various bits and bobs done (often stereo related). I'd fit it myself but it will invalidate the warranty on the stereo which I don't really want to do. OTOH I don't want to let just anyone tinker with my zed and potentially screw up the electrics, so anyone got any recommendations? Cheers, Bart
