  1. I like that a LOT. Might have to get some of those.
  2. Let's hope they give him a few less cheesy lines too.
  3. Odd thing: I don't think they're that bad and I'm pretty certain I don't have HID... then again, I was driving a Renault up until a few weeks ago.
  4. Yeah, if you can find a way of stopping nice shiny break discs developing nasty brown rust I'd be very interested for one.
  5. Fantastic. Thanks guys. I'll sort it out on Friday.
  6. Done. 2120.
  7. Dear All, Driving home this evening and I started getting this weird buzzing noise from above the small panel behind the two interior lights in the centre of the car. Sounds like there's an electric motor in there or something but I've no idea why there would be one -- seems a bit of an odd location since there's nothing up there apart from the lights and the centre strut between the targa panels. Anybody got any ideas? It's driving me nuts. I'll see if I can get it open on Friday since I'm planning to fit my new stereo then so I might as well disassemble a bit more of the interior whilst I'm at it. ;) Thanks, Bart
  8. And... just to be a bit controversial, although I own a black Z my favourite colour for one with all the right bits on it (which this one has) is actually pearlescent white. ;) [braces for the inevitable barrage of insults]
  9. On second thoughts on that car I could live with those seats. It's lurvely. $25,600 though, that's £13,500. Be lucky to get much over half that here.
  10. Winning bid: $25,600 for the car at the end of that link. Unreal. Nice car, although I'm not a fan of Sparco racing seats.
  11. I reckon I might be able to make it (yay, my first meet). What time are you planning to get to the Harvester?
  12. Funny you should say that, I was just thinking the back looked a bit MR2ish.
  13. Certainly I think the front is Veilside: bit too in your face for my liking. Nearly bought a car with one of those kits on though just because it was so wild: pearlescent purple with green and orange vinyls up the side and a black and orange leather interior. 420 bhp as well... but the insurance scared me off a bit (£1100) and the fact that I would have felt just slightly self-conscious driving it. Was on autotrader for £7.5k, now back on for £9k from a different dealer. Dunno what that's all about. 14. Yeah I really DID have a cracked alloy a few weeks back and had to get a whole new set of wheels because the manufacterers of the old set had gone bust, but to reassure you it didn't look anything like that. What you're experiencing just looks like the surface is cracking up. Probably worth taking it along to a place that does refurbs to get it sorted -- doubt it'll cost that much, I've seen prices for sorting out edge scoring (and your problem looks less serious) from £40 - £80 depending on the size of the wheel on places advertising on the internet.
  15. Nice car sasquatchi! What's the body kit?

Not a chance! No spinners are ever going anywhere near my black Z.
  17. Looks like the wheels have been changed too.
  18. Yeah I'll buy the dust. I can still see the furniture in my room at the moment so I could do with some more. ;)
  19. Makes you wonder: if he thinks that looks good I wonder if it would be possible to persuade him to put a massive sticker on the back window with something like, "Yes in fact I really am a complete muppet!" on it on the same basis.
  20. I'll bear that in mind. Mine does a very similar thing although the drop-off is when driving rather than at idle.
  21. I'm not exactly young (29) but oddly enough I found the difference between import and UK not to be too bad with Norwich Union (these are unmodified): UK is about £600 - £650 from memory (no mods) Japanese import around £750 (I've since declared new wheels so have had to pay out more) Just shop around. Depends who you go with: some places were quoting me £1600 - £1700 for the import. Crazy stuff.
