  1. I don't know about the NAs, but a Supra Turbo is definitely quicker than a TT zed. Not much, but it is quicker. I think the former does 0-60 in 4.9s, whilst a stock SWB TT zed does in in 5.2 (the 2+2 TT is around 5.6s I believe). So take your pick really. I prefer the looks of the zed, but it's all a matter of taste.
  2. Yeah, I thought I was doing well with 26.5 on an un-modded TT. Quoted extra-urban mileage is only 28. 29 is almost rude. :)
  3. I noticed that http://www.300zx.co.uk stopped working yesterday, which is what I have the site bookmarked as... just tried 300zx.co.uk on the offchance and got straight here. Not a big problem, but dropping the www might hinder a few people finding us? Bart
  4. Strewth, sounds like you're going for the full dismantle option! An hour and a half to do all that? Took me the best part of two and a half hours to change the flaming oil (which wasn't *actually* on fire I should point out). What are you planning to do?
  5. That's great. Sounds like you picked up an absolute bargain. From what I've seen £2500 for a zed will normally get you an absolute... well, lets say a car with a few issues that need addressing.

A very good question. What's going on with that back end? Nightmare.
  7. Thanks Chris. Sweet.
  8. Grounding kit maybe?
  9. Can you post a link to this please? I've no idea what an E01 is (idiotic I know). Thanks, Bart
  10. That's fighting talk where I come from. ;) (Actually I develop software for Windows at the moment, and have done UNIX stuff in the past, but for myself, if I could afford one with a decent spec, I'd love a Mac.)
  11. Yep, lovely... although I agree that standard lights would make it look even better (sorry, those things you've got in there now probably cost ££££s).
  12. Ah, come on. The right stickers on the right car can look good... it's just that most people apply the wrong stickers (badly) to the wrong car. In any case, it's one of those personal taste things, and if all our cars were the same how boring would that be (unless they were all black, and then we could have a great motorcade ;) ).
  13. Strewth, that's pretty impressive. Understand, I'm not dissing it from an engineering / technical viewpoint: it's a work of genius, and probably has a lot more leg-room in the back. It's more of a comment on BMW drivers generally: I'm sick and tired of these people (i) driving right up my backside and trying (and failing) to intimidate me, (ii) never indicating, and (iii) generally treating all other drivers as inferior scum. The cars themselves I don't have a particular issue with: they're comfortable, stylish, most of them look pretty good (although I'm not so sure about the new 7-series), and the M-range has generally awesome performance.
  14. Fantastic looking motor. Like that a lot.
  15. LOL, reps and bully-boys (not all, but many).
  16. They're great for our kind of summer (I've got some), and OK for the med (at least the north side), but not so good if you go anywhere near the equator: intensity of sunlight is greater so you'll still need proper sunglasses because the react-a-lites don't go dark enough.
  17. Having a laugh!!! £1.79 for the sticker, £3.99 for the postage, and £1.99 for the compulsory shipping insurance!! Absolutely unbelievable. Do people actually buy stuff from this guy?!?
  18. Looks good. Nice car as well. Hope it doesn't turn out to be too much hassle.
  19. Yeah, you wouldn't want any of those things scurrying around in your walls. Imagine the results of them finding their way into your bedroom whilst you're asleep. Not pretty.
  20. Oops, that didn't come out so well. :S
  21. Yeah, new M3 does 0 - 60 in either 4.5 or 4.9 seconds, can't remember which, but whatever, it's very fast.
  22. After M1 junction heading clockwise. White, twin set of single exit exhausts. H*** PVW (I think). I waved at you, and you waved at me, although I probably scared the life out of you by tearing up behind you across two lanes of traffic just to see if it really was a zed. Would have been about 11.15-11.30pm.
  23. That is a *very* interesting question, and thinking about it I've really no idea: nobody I know has it. Not family, friends, colleagues, neighbours, or any of their kids listen to this. Nobody on here apears to have it (apart from white-zed above, and he's binning his), so who indeed is buying it?!?
  24. Yeah, they're quite nice. I might do something about the key because it's about the only bit of the car my best mate from school dayz dissed last weekend (apart from the crappy indicator stalk, which Nissan clearly got on the cheap as spares from the 1985 Ford Fiesta production run).
